Well folks, I decided to order the PPV tonight.  I won’t be doing real-time, but you can get that from our friends at World Wrestling Insanity. Of course you’ll be able to catch the results and my thoughts on the show tomorrow morning right here on BWF.  Tonight, I’ll give you my Great American Bash predictions.  I only got one match wrong last month for Night of Champions, so let’s see if I can do as well for the Bash.

The card, and predictions, after the jump!

World Heavyweight Championship:  Batista vs. CM Punk

The night before CM Punk won the title from Edge, Batista lost to Edge in his attempt to do the same.  So, that in mind, my prediction here is that Punk is going to retain.  There’s no point of keeping the belt off of Batista, who could have brought the title over to RAW himself, giving it to Punk the next night, only to give it to Batista less than a month later.  Punk’s walking out the champion, somehow.

WWE Championship:  Triple H vs. Edge

Up until Friday Night SmackDown this week, I thought Edge was going to take the title.  Things are a little skewed now, and given how this storyline has gone, nothing will surprise me.  I’m starting to think that The Game is walking out tonight with the WWE Championship.  While there’s always the posibilty of a swerve with Vickie forgiving Edge, I just don’t see it happening.  I think The Game walks out with the title tonight.

ECW Championship:  Tommy Dreamer vs. Mark Henry

Thanks for coming, Tommy Dreamer.  You’re only a stepping stone in making Henry look like a credible champion.  There is NO WAY an ECW Original is going to wind up taking the WWECW Championship.  Henry wins this one.

Parking Lot Brawl:  John Cena vs. JBL

Cena.  I don’t even really need a reason for this one other than I can’t see this feud dragging out any longer, and the face needs to go over.

HBK vs. Y2J

For the exact opposite reason I gave for Cena winning tonight, Jericho is going to take this one.  These two will probably be feuding through next month’s SummerSlam.

WWE Diva’s Championship:  Natalya vs. Michelle McCool

Natalya’s been groomed for this spot since she got here.  I don’t think Michelle is going to get the title, I think her rage is going to overcome her, and she’ll make a mistake to lose the match, giving Natalya the title

WWE Tag Team Championship:  Jesse & Festus vs. Finlay & Hornswoggle vs. Hawkins & Ryder vs. Miz and Morrison.

Since there’s only one team in this match I could take seriously as tag team champions, my final prediction for the night is going to be Miz and Morrison retaining the WWE Tag Team Championships.  Enjoy the Bash!
