What’s up guys?  While I am ordering the PPV tonight, I’m not planning on doing live coverage – though if you’re looking for realtime coverage of Night of Champions, Aaron Wood at World Wrestling Insanity has got you covered! As far as BoredWrestlingFan.com is concerned, I’ll be around either sometime after the PPV tonight or first thing after work tomorrow morning with results and thoughts on tonight’s show.

The card, and my predictions, after the jump.

WWE Championship:  John Cena vs. Triple H

Surprisingly, John Cena has been back from the injury that cost him his title since January, and hasn’t won the title back.  Given the current championship scene, I don’t think the WWE Championship is going to be away from the RAW brand for more than a week.  So yes kids, that means that I’m predicting that John Cena will win the WWE Championship in his match against The Game tonight, possibly with interference from Edge.

World Heavyweight Championship:  Batista vs. Edge

Batista brought the World Heavyweight Championship to SmackDown and is hoping to bring it back to RAW with him tomorrow night.  Given the fact that Triple H and Edge kicked off the show, and probably what will turn out to be a great feud, the other night on SmackDown, I think the money will be on Edge keeping his title and defending against Triple H sometime down the line – after all, SummerSlam is just two months away.

ECW Championship:  The Big Show vs. Mark Henry vs. Kane

SmackDown’s Big Show and RAW’s Kane have one thing in common – they’re not ECW superstars anymore.  Mark Henry came over to the brand on Wednesday, so that’s where the belt is going.

WWE Intercontinental Championship:  Chris Jericho vs…

… well, we don’t know who his opponent will be, or even if he’s going to have an opponent.  Since this is the Night of Champions, and they tell us that every championship will be on the line, Y2J’s not getting off that easy though.  Shawn Michaels would be the obvious choice, though with his “eye injury,” HBK may not be the guy.  A few guys showed up on RAW from the draft on Monday and the supplemental draft on Wednesday who could be instant IC title contenders – namely C.M. Punk and Kofi Kingston.  We’ll see what happens tonight.  The question here besides who will his opponent be, is will Chris Jericho walk out of Night of Champions with the Intercontinental Championship around his waist?  Since I haven’t seen the belt almost since Y2J won it, I think he won’t have it by the end of the night.

WWE United States Championship:  Chavo Guerrero vs. Matt Hardy

Chavo…  I don’t know about Chavo.  He just recently lost the ECW Championship to Kane back in March, but is he U.S. Champion material?  I really don’t see it, I think Matt Hardy is going to pick up the win here.  I see bigger things for Matt than jobbing to Chavito.

World Tag Team Championship:  Ted DiBiase and a Mystery Partner vs. Cody Rhodes and Hardcore Holly

No matter who he gets for a partner, DiBiase’s team is going to win, hands down.  Rumors are flying about who DiBiase’s partner’s going to be – I’m not buying into them, but I guess we’ll see.  Rhodes & Holly lose the titles tonight.

WWE Tag Team Championship:  Finlay & Hornswoggle vs. Miz and Morrison

Ugh.  Miz and Morrison need to win this match, for the sheer fact that the belts are staying on ECW no matter what.  Finlay and Hornswoggle don’t make a lot of sense to win the titles tonight, so I don’t think they will.

WWE Women’s Championship:  Katie Lea Burchill vs. Mickie James

Katie Lea isn’t a proven contender, and as such, she’s probably not beating Mickie tonight.

WWE Diva’s Championship:  Natalya vs…

…  again, we don’t know the opponent here.  My guess is that her opponent will wind up being Michelle McCool.  Either one would make a great inaugural Diva’s Champion, so this one is hard to call.  If it winds up being Michelle, I’m going to pick her to win.  Anybody else though, I’m thinking Natalya’s adding another belt to the Hart family collection.
