RAW in Buffalo – 5/4/09
By thinksojoe · · 2 CommentsLast night was a lot of fun for me, although I had to work at 1AM following the show. PaintFingers and I took a lot of pics from the show, so we’ll start from the very beginning.
Dark Match: Goldust def. Chavo Guerrero

Goldust picks up the win on a modified Curtain Call after blocking the third Amigo.

Kelly picks up the win for her team with a cool looking springboard (off her opponent’s back) legdrop.
RAW begins
Randy Orton vs. Shane McMahon – no contest.
The WWE Champion makes his entrance
Shane McMahon attacks Orton from behind
The action spills all over the arena
the brawl continues
Shane goes to put Orton through the announce table, but Legacy makes the save
After a failed run-in by MVP, Legacy turn their attention back to Shane McMahon
Batista to the rescue
Excuse Me? Vickie Guerrero is drowned out by the crowd.
What Vickie actually said was that there would be “Win and You’re In” matches later on, with Cody Rhodes taking on MVP and Ted DiBiase meeting Batista, the winners getting to be a part of the Shane McMahon vs. Randy Orton main event.
Sounds good to Shane, Batista, and MVP
Legacy doesn't seem to care either way.
Kofi Kingston def. Matt Hardy
Jamaican me crazy, Kofi!
Matt is wrestling this match under protest.
Kofi gives the "are you serious?" look

Kofi picks up the win, but Matt sneaks in to ruin his celebration.
Santino says that Vickie has swine flu. Not because she's Mexican, but because she looks like a piggy.
Cody Rhodes def. MVP via count-out
Cody Rhodes awaits MVP
MVP arrives on the scene. Ballin!
Apparently those were the only shots we took during that match. Cody picked up the victory when William Regal attacked MVP on the outside, rendering him incapable of beating the 10 count back into the ring.
Jillian Hall arrives to perform.
Jillian vs. Festus in a sing-off with Jerry Lawler hosting. Festus did a killer rendition of "The Sun Will Come Up Tomorrow" to win by crowd reaction.
Miz lets everybody know what he thinks of Festus before tossing him out of the ring
The Miz calls out John Cena for the second straight week.
Cena eventually arrives, but so does The Big Show
After a long staredown, Big Show attacks. By the end of his assault, Cena is lying unconscious in the middle of the ring.
Mickie James def. Diva’s Champion Maryse
for some reason, here's Jared Fogel of Subway fame to announce the next match.
He introduces Mickie James
and her opponent, WWE Diva's Champion Maryse. Mickie would go on to win this non-title match.
Ted DiBiase def. Batista
Ted DiBiase is priceless and awaiting his opponent...
The Animal, Batista
Batista with a stomp
Batista hits a spear in the corner. Moments later, Batista would lose control and get himself disqualified, causing Shane McMahon to have to face Legacy in a 3 on 1 handicapped match later tonight
Carlito def. The Brian Kendrick
The Brian Kendrick is in action.
He'll be taking on one half of the Unified Tag Team Champions, Carlito.
The action was intense
Carlito would go on to reverse a Kendrick attempt by The Brian Kendrick into a Backstabber for the win.
Legacy vs. Shane McMahon went to a no contest
Legacy head to the ring.
The WWE Champion shows off his belt.
For some reason, Legacy head back up the ramp...
... Orton's music plays again, and they come back.
Here comes the money!
Shane O'Mac holds his own...
... Until the WWE Champion enters the fray
Shane looks at the announce table. He then places Orton on the table...
Shane dives from the top rope, but Cody pulls Randy out of the way, sending Shane crashing and burning through the table.
Legacy swarm around the fallen McMahon
Randy Orton sends the steel steps crashing down on Shane's ankle.
After Batista chases off Legacy, Randy Orton tells Batista that his Judgment Day will come. This concludes Monday Night RAW...
... but the show isn't over for the HSBC Arena crowd. Batista says that Legacy is real tough when it's 3 on 1, so why don't they come take him on in a 3 on 1 match?
Legacy accept, but Batista lied, he has a partner - JOHN CENA! Cena and Batista hit Rhodes and DiBiase with their finishers and pinned them at the same time for the win.
