On this week’s BWF Radio, Joe tries not to hack up a lung as the crew discuss TNA Sacrifice tonight on Pay-Per-View.  IHWE Hall of Famer Prince Al Farat calls in – or attempts to, as our incoming phone lines were down through the entire show.  We talk to Prince Al Farat about his career, his attempt to make it to WWE, his matches around the world with such stars as Ric Flair and The Great Muta, and his upcoming appearances including the IHWExperience, June 8th in Fort Worth Texas.  In the news, we talk about the sinking ship that is TNA Wrestling, the up and coming promotion that is Global Force Wrestling, and the completely dead promotion that is Extreme Rising.  Gregory Iron puts over our local indie here in Buffalo.  We learn why Mick Foley won’t sign his WWE Legends contract.  And why won’t Toronto mayor Rob Ford have dinner with The Iron Sheik?  All this and more on BWF Radio!  Tune in!

    Ah, No Mercy…

We started late.  We ended early.  That can only mean one thing – Jorge wasn’t here.  G tries to avoid drowning in the flooded mess that is Calgary and JT’s personalities fight each other while Joe laments the drowning of his phone in his swimming pool yesterday.  That Damn Double C gives us some good listening material in the form of a Sexual Harassment Education video.  Mick Foley appears on The Daily Show.  RAW wows us, even if Christian underwhelms Joe.  Main Event is main-eventy, and SmackDown gets the depressed G treatment.

In the news, we get reactions to Rob Van Dam’s WWE return at Money In The Bank.  We assess Sheamus’ ability to make metaphors.  We ponder what Matt Hardy’s latest internet video means (besides a half-naked Reby Sky), and we find out how much money Jack Swagger will lose in fines over his recent marijuana arrest.  Where have we heard Triple H and The Undertaker’s theme songs lately?  We get HBK’s thoughts on the potential to revive tag team wrestling (courtesy of Ministry of Slam).  All this, plus Iron Sheik Tweets and the all new segment, “Stump JT.”

    Tune in!

Yup. Just like the Thursday show is called “Superstars”

This week, G’s ass has ripples and JT’s been pretty clogged, while Jorge laughs maniacally and Joe eats brains.  Or something like that.  Then we put the whole thing through Gizoogle, biatch.  RAW recap, Main Event mania, and SmackDown synopsis, followed by some Iron Sheik goodness and the news!  When will we see Punk again?  Which WWE Hall of Famer almost backed out of the induction ceremony?  Who were the WWE Eurocontinental Champions?  Why am I asking you?  We obviously know the answers, and you can hear us stumble over them by clicking the link below!

Big E, Big E, Big E, can’t you see, sometimes your fists accidentally hit me?

Fandangoing spills over into BWF Radio, as our own ThinkSoJoE was in the crowd at the IZOD Center this past Monday.  Joe, along with JT, G, and Jorge discuss the poor quality of this year’s WrestleMania, leading Joe to make an interesting offer to World Wrestling Entertainment, Inc.  It’s explained why Mike Chioda got the first chant during the Sheamus/Orton match on RAW.  We ponder who was controlling the temperature on Thursday’s IMPACT, and do away with Sign Guy during the reading of G’s SmackDown review, for some reason.  Rick is still very much alive and well, as far as we know.  Iron Sheik tweets are handled by JT, and we find out why Rock, Brock, and Punk were all missing from RAW in the news.  Plus, for episode 69, That Damn Double C brings us some Bloodhound Gang in our musical break.   All this and MUCH more, on BWF Radio!

    And then Khali died.

Oh man, wrestling fans… this week was one hell of a ride. We were joined by @AliceRadley of Rational Wrestling Review and rather quickly Jorge and Alice embark us onto a pretty entertaining diatribe about… things. We roll through the week of WWE, TNA, and ROH as usual and return to the madness that is the world of The Iron Sheik. The upcoming Wrestlers vs Zombies is discussed. J.T. reveals his disdain of the product that prompts a discussion of why we watch wrestling today, with some reference to the abuse of the fans by McMahon being akin to today’s announcement of the end of the NHL lockout. Velvet Sky crashes her car because of a little snow (we call that July in Canada), Daniel Bryan wants to become the most useless superhero in the Marvel universe, Fred Flinstone gets jobbed out, and much more!

Ensure you like Jorge’s facebook page here. He need’s 503 votes, and we will be able to coerce him into joining social media! Do it now! Make fake facebook accounts and make democracy legitimate!

What a fantastic moment for children around the world

What a fantastic moment for children around the world

Happy Holidays, wrestling fans! The BWF Radio crew have returned, although two of the crew are quite under the weather. We run through the week that was in wrestling during this insane holiday season, debate the way RAW was presented, as well as Impact and Smackdown. The Iron Sheik gets a spotlight on Twitter, Inoki changes his name, Orton’s shoulders are quite mobile, THQ might not be completely dead, and we end up constantly forgetting something… We also turn our attention to 2013, and do a little fantasy booking.

    AJ Loves All The Boys

Even within the madness of the holidays, the BWF Radio crew returned on Sunday to discuss the week that was in professional wrestling. The WWE offered up a sleigh-full of content including the stellar TLC PPV and a Tribute to the Troops within their regularly scheduled programming. We saw the returns of people like Ric Flair, Tommy Dreamer, and The Boogeyman to name a few. We also tackle the news including what is happening with THQ and how that affects the future of the WWE video game franchise, how filthy the character of AJ has become, The Iron Sheik on Twitter, Tommy Dreamer’s head injury, and much much more. So kick up your feet, toss your chestnuts on an open fire, and begin thinking how you are going to explain that injury to the…. ahh, just listen to the show and have a great holiday!

  9. PatMan Picks Stampede Wrestling Classics. The British Bulldogs vs Cuban Commandos.

I loved watching tag team wrestling as a kid as there were some amazing and entertaining tag teams in many territories. Teams like the Road Warriors, Can Am connection, Killer Bees, Nikolai Volkoff & The Iron Sheik and the Hart Foundation top my list of top tag teams from the past. However one tag team sits above them all, even the mighty Road Warriors, as my personal all time favorite team. That team is the British Bulldogs. By the time the British Bulldogs reached the WWF they had already competed along side and often against each other many times in classic Stamped Wrestlings encounters. While their popularity (and bodies) grew bigger and bigger in the WWF, I already had a strong admiration for them and knew just how talented they were. After an exciting title run in the WWF only to lose the titles ironically to yet another Stampede Wrestling alumni tag team by the name of the The Hart Foundation, Davey Boy and Dynamite soon went to Japan for a successful tour of the orient and finally returned, full circle, back to Stampede Wrestling. By this time the combination of steroid abuse and brutal back injuries were really taking a lot out of the Dynamite Kid both inside and outside the ring. The British Bulldogs days as a team were numbered. Davey Boy would soon embark on a successful singles career returning to the WWF, WCW and even back in Stampede upon occasion. Lets look at one of the last matches for this legendary tag team as they compete for the Stampede Tag Team belts held by the evil and chronically cheating Cuban Commandos! Its a ring-a-ding-dong-dandy! See you next week,. But,in the mean time and in between time, check out Wonderpod videogame podcast on itunes and also some of the other stuff I do over at www.wonderpodonline.com !

You know, I just posted the link for this week’s SmackDown review on facebook, and I realized that I didn’t get a chance to get a goofy picture of Josh Matthews into this week’s article.  So, here’s your weekly dose of “Josh Matthews is a tool.”
