BoredWrestlingFan.com is saddened to hear of the passing of WWE Hall of Famer, Walter “Killer” Kowalski.

Kowalski, who is a legend in the sport and has trained major names such as Chyna, Kaz, and of course, WWE Champion Triple H, passed away this morning after suffering a heart attack back on August 8th.  Kowalski refused to go quietly, as his vital signs remained strong even after he was taken off of life support twelve days ago.

Kowalski was an inductee of the WWE Hall of Fame (Class of 1996), the Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame (class of 2003), and the National Polish-American Sports Hall of Fame (Class of 2007).

BoredWrestlingFan.com would like to offer our condolences to the Kowalski family and friends.

  2. A Wilde iMPACT – 7/10/08

I’ll be honest, iMPACT wasn’t overly horrible this week – but I was barely able to pay attention because I had other stuff going on while the show was on.  That said, I’ll try my best to give the show a pretty fair review; after all, we don’t want Disco Inferno whining on his blog about how internet wrestling writers are unfair to the TNA product again, now do we?  Of course, it’s not hard to rip on TNA’s booking decisions – there’s a pay-per-view coming up this Sunday, and last night’s show took most of the focus off of the main event and shifted it elsewhere.  Hell, the World Champion was overshadowed by a returning Sting in his only segment on the show, not to mention that four of the six guys in one of the other huge matches for this Sunday weren’t even on the show.  Yes, Disco – us internet writers are unfair to the TNA product.

Results and not-so-in-depth analysis after the jump.

  3. That Angle Show – 6/12/08

I love it when we get decent world title matches on free TV (though, technically, since I’m paying $105 a month for cable, is it really free?).  To be honest, Kaz vs. Samoa Joe was a pretty solid match.  Unfortunately for them, they took a back seat to the continuing saga of Kurt and Karen Angle.  It used to be funny when I’d type “Hey look, it’s Kurt Angle” on the message boards at World Wrestling Insanity every time he’d be on screen.  Hell, at least he was champion back then.  Now that Samoa Joe is champion, after beating Kurt Angle for the title, mind you, Joe should be the centerpiece of the program, not curtain jerking while defending his TNA World Title.  Hell, the TNA title match took a backseat to LAX vs. James Storm and Robert Roode for the TNA Tag Titles last night.  It’s a sad state of affairs to think that the lasting impression from last night’s program isn’t going to be Joe holding up his championship after a hard fought title defense, but instead, the image of Karen Angle, lying in pain on the mat after an attack by Awesome Kong.

Ranting and raving about the rest of the show, after the jump.
