  1. BWF Interview: Jerry Lynn

It’s an interview everybody on the BoredWrestlingFan staff wanted to participate in, but one man actually got to do it.  This past Thursday, the great Jerry Lynn took time out of his day to speak with our own Justin Ruff about a number of topics.  He talks about getting his start in the business, working the indies with a young Sean Waltman, and reveals who came up with his WCW name, Mr. JL.  He mentions that the late Brad Armstrong was one of his favorite opponents.  He talks about ECW memories, including the fans giving him the nickname, “The New F’N Show.”  Jerry discusses his disappointing time in WWE and his knee injury, comparing it to being a human toy.  The early days of TNA are discussed, including Jerry winning the X-Division Championship early on.  Justin and Jerry get into Jerry’s recent indie career, and Jerry puts over wrestling in the state of Texas.  Plus, Jerry announces the date of his final career match!  All this, and much, much more.  Click the link below to listen!

  2. Dear @MATTHARDYBRAND

    Dear Matthew Moore Hardy,

Thank you for all the memories you have given your fans over the years.  Thank you for destroying your own body for the sake of entertaining us.  Thank you for everything.

I know I haven’t been the nicest person writing about Matt Hardy.  I’ve so often called you Fatt Lardy that I once considered starting @FATTLARDYBRAND on Twitter (the guy that’s running it has no affiliation with us, by the way).  I’m well aware of your abdominal issues that caused you to put on weight, and I’m well aware that when you got into TNA you busted your ass to get back into shape.  Hell, you earned our own G Hall’s respect enough for him to break his TNA iMPACT reviewing rules and stop calling you “Some Internet Guy.”  I respect you for that.

Recently, amid rumors of drug problems, you were suspended from TNA Wrestling.  You drove your car into a tree, allegedly under the influence of drugs.  Then you were fired from TNA Wrestling.  Matt, buddy, it’s not the end of the world.  People go through things like this, and most of them aren’t as beloved by so many people as Matt Hardy.  I saw your recent video, titled “Goodbye,” on YouTube.  Matt, whether that was a joke or if it was for real, I think you need serious professional help.  Your fans, and even those who don’t really care much for Matt Hardy the entertainer, are worried about you.  Please Matt, please seek help before it’s too late.

    Thank you for everything,
    -ThinkSoJoE

  3. New look, new stuff!

If you’ve been here before, you’ll probably have noticed that things look a little… different than before. That’s putting it mildly. Since June 9, 2008, Bored Wrestling Fan would greet first-time visitors with the WrestleMania logo inspired “BWF Classic” Theme. I started to get creative and came up with a total of six different themes to choose from in which to view the site. A few weeks ago, I began working on a seventh theme, which was actually meant to replace two old ones, but still co-exist with the other four. Unfortunately, during this time we encountered some problems with overload on our server, and to help out, we had to take out the theme-switcher feature. I chose this new theme to be the BoredWrestlingFan theme because I think it looks cool, and it’s by far the easiest one for me to edit if things need to be added to the site in the future.

Things like an Amazon store, perhaps?  The great thing about running this store is that you can get the products you want straight from Amazon and help out Bored Wrestling Fan at the same time.  So, if you want the new Best of SmackDown 10th Anniversary DVD, SmackDown vs. RAW 2010 for your favorite console, or WWE’s “The Wrestling Album,” you can come right here to buy it – and it doesn’t cost you any more than it normally would from Amazon!

What’s up, fellow Bored Wrestling Fans?  What do you think of the new look?  What features would you guys like to see added in the future?  Leave a comment and let me know – and by the way, you can now log in to comment with your Twitter account!

One last thing before I go, I’m going to be putting together an Eddie Guerrero tribute article, and I want your thoughts and memories of Eddie Guerrero.  You can send ThinkSoJoE a private message on the BWF Forums, you can direct message us on Twitter @BrdWrstlngFn, or you can send them to GuerreroTribute@boredwrestlingfan.com.

    Thanks for reading!
