1. Last week I was going to do this podcast about the CZW Cage of Death show I watched, but the Bryan thing was more timely. I’m sorry about the audio at the start as I recorded the first part of the show using the wrong microphone. CZW was a pretty fun show and I’ll talk about it, and more, in this weeks episode.

For over 20 years, he’s traveled the world.  ECW, WCW, WWE, ROH, CHIKARA, AAA, TNA, NJPW, you name it, he’s been there.  And now The Fallen Angel has come to BoredWrestlingFan.com.  On Sunday, January 25, 2015, Christopher Daniels will be the guest on BWF Radio, BoredWrestlingFan’s weekly podcast.

A champion everywhere he’s been, Daniels is currently wrestling for Ring Of Honor as a singles competitor and as part of the tag team known as The Addiction with Frankie Kazarian.  He is an avid comic book collector and we’ll be sure to ask him about the recent news that Marvel is rebooting their entire franchise, as well as his involvement in the Headlocked: The Last Territory comic (written by BWF Radio episode 150 guest Michael Kingston).

BWF Radio airs live every Sunday at 2PM Eastern in the Podcast section of BoredWrestlingFan.com, with the podcast available for download shortly after the show ends.  The podcast is available on iTunes, Stitcher, Blubrry, Cheap-Heat, and directly from BoredWrestlingFan.com.

This week on BoredWrestlingFan Radio, Joe fixed the theme music!  We try our best not to talk about RAW, and plug the #RAWlternative. We talk about IMPACT Wrestling on Destination America among other things, including Randy Savage being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame by Hulk Hogan.

In the news, WWE Main Event has gone away for the time being.  WWE Tough Enough is not only on-demand on the WWE Network, but is also coming back for a new season on USA.  The IZOD Center is closing it’s doors, leaving SummerSlam without a venue for the time being.  Kevin Nash’s charges are dropped and his legends contract reinstated.  And we give you our synopsis for this week’s Total Divas.  All this, and much more on BWF Radio!

  4. This is not a full review. I skipped through most of this.

    Yay. New time. Great.

    What you should consider watching….

The opening segment with Bryan was ok.

Seth Rollins and Paul Heyman at the top of the hour was actually very good. Rollins was certainly at the top of his game. Heyman is Heyman, so you already know he was good. For the Lesnar storyline, it’s worth a look.

Yes, Daniel Bryan returned and opened the show in a one-on-one match with Kane. Then it became the main-event in a tag-team format to be the main-event. But, since it’s Wednesday and Lucha Underground and NXT is on TV, you missed nothing else.

    Seriously, don’t waste your time.

I come the future. From a land called “Canada”. You might jest and imply there is no place called “Canada”. I assure you it exists, and here, the WWE is still rather terrible.

    Random animated gif:

Just kidding. Fuck this show. Still terrible.

  5. In this weeks episode I pontificate on the potential return to the ring of Daniel Bryan on Smackdown tomorrow, and why I think that it shouldn’t happen. All this and a little bit more this week coming at you straight from Britain.

Every once in a great while, a guy comes along who is the very definition of professional wrestling.  He’s colorul, boisterous, maybe even a little flamboyant – but he can kick your ass just the same.  At the time that I started watching professional wrestling, that guy was “Macho Man” Randy Savage.

I don’t care who you are.  I don’t care if you’re a pro wrestling fan.  If you grew up when I grew up, if someone mentions Randy Savage, you stop what you’re doing and try your best to imitate his iconic voice.  “Oooh yeah!  Snap into a Slim Jim!”  Nobody ever gets it quite right, Jay Lethal notwithstanding.

Yet for some reason, the Hall of Fame has eluded this former two time WWE Champion.  Rumors abound as to why, but one thing we do know is that after Randy’s untimely passing in 2011, his family was against it, particularly his brother Lanny.  He claimed that Randy would have wanted the entire family – brother “Leaping” Lanny and father Angelo Poffo – to be inducted.  Truth be told, I believe that.  A caveat for Randy going to WCW was a Hall of Fame induction from that organization for Angelo.  Over the last few years, Lanny has let up on his position, allowing WWE to do the induction without the rest of the family.

Last night, the WWE finally made the announcement – Randy Savage is going to be the first inductee into the 2015 class of the WWE Hall of Fame.  An honor well deserved.  I just wish the Macho Man could be alive to accept it for himself.  Oooh Yeah!

This week on BWF Radio, JT goes bowling – again.  Jorge returns, and MavenFan joins us in the live chat.  We again try to avoid talking about RAW, while praising Wrestle Kingdom 9.  We briefly discuss Impact Wrestling’s debut on Destination America, while complaining about Joe’s crappy DVR.

In the news, there is a debate on who will win the Royal Rumble.  Roman Reigns can’t get over with fans either.  Vince McMahon hates NXT.  Christian says he’s not retired.  Lance Storm turned RAW off on Monday.  Alex Koslov retires following Wrestle Kingdom 9.  All this, and the return of Total Divas spoilers!  Tune in!

  8. With the return of TNA Impact tonight on Destination America I took the time to defend the decision to move there and argue the point that things might end up better there than they ever did on Spike.

This week, Joe, G, and Mark get re-educated on Combat Zone Wrestling from CZW Champion BLK Jeez.  Joe’s pre-concieved notions of CZW being simply violence for the sake of violence is challenged as he watches Cage of Death XVI from a few weeks ago where BLK Jeez won the title.  We talk to Jeez about his career, including how he got into the business, how he got started, being on SmackDown and IMPACT in the span of a week, and what the future holds for him.

In the news, the whereabouts of Heath Slater and Mark Henry are revealed.  Even Cesaro hates Cesaro’s theme music.  Daniel Bryan didn’t retire, but Christian did.  The Young Bucks are turning down everybody up to and including WCW.  Several TNA stars re-signed with the company.  Mick Foley praises Tyson Kidd and Cesaro as a tag team.  We find out why that voice on WWE Network’s “The Monday Night War” series sounds so familiar.  All this, and much, much more on BWF Radio!
