I currently write to you, with the entrance music and video of D-Generation X playing in the background. But wait a minute, I hear you ask. You’re not a wrestling fan anymore. Why do you have DX’s music in the background? Simple. I’m not a wrestling fan today. FACT. Also FACT, I’ve recovered my sheer enjoyment for the words War, Is and Raw, although not necessarily in that order.
It’s Slammy Award time – and I’m disappointed in the nominations for this year. That’s ok though, because we’ve got a new WWE Champion coming in to tonight’s show, and his name is Sheamus! Dennis Miller is hosting, so let’s get started!
Although I did see this show (and it was an excellent show, BTW.), I didn’t manage to get a chance to write about it. I will say this though, it was definitely all about the Troops, which was nice. Usually when WWE is on NBC (see “Saturday Night’s Main Event”), they take the opportunity to try and sell their brand to casual viewers. Not this time though. The wrestling was secondary to honoring our fighting men and women in the Armed Forces.
Hooray, I finally get to watch a WWE show in HD! Damned Time Warner Cable. Anyways, same format as SmackDown usually is – quick results on the home page, full details after the jump…
