ARRRGGHHHH! Despite the WWE’s insistence that this is the “25th Anniversary” of WrestleMania, that’s incorrect. It’s the 25th ANNUAL WrestleMania. WrestleMania 1 wasn’t the first ANNIVERSARY of WrestleMania, that would’ve been March 31, 1986. It was the first ANNUAL. Somebody buy the WWE marketing guys a dictionary. Anyways, screw it, let’s roll.

In the annals of Wrestlemania history, Wrestlemania 18 in particular holds a very dear place in my heart. The reason is simple: I WAS THERE. Among the 68,237 people that packed the Skydome I experienced Rock vs Hogan first hand, helpless against a wave of mass nostalgia. But I’ll get to that match later. We had floor seats, just left of the main hard camera view toward the back. Good seats but maybe not great seats. But that didn’t matter; I was in attendance at the Showcase of the Immortals, the Granddaddy of them all, Wrestlemania!

This year I thought I’d point out some things you may/may not have known about the event known as Wrestlemania, since this year is the 26th one I figured I’d give you 26 things you may /may not know about Wrestlemania: (note some events may not have actually happened or have been exaggerated for entertainment puropses) (more…)
As far as WrestleMania attendance goes, I’m pretty much a veteran. I’ve been to WrestleManias X-8, XIX, and XXIV, so believe me when I tell you that you’ve never experienced anything if you’re a wrestling fan and haven’t experienced WrestleMania live and in person. But it’s not just the big event that’s an experience.
