This is pretty much the only response I have to the Vince/Austin podcast that hasn’t really been said by anyone else yet. It’s my response to Vince’s claim that the guys in the back aren’t willing to push the envelope anymore and while I agree that it’s true, I’m honestly not surprised they don’t.
This week on BoredWrestlingFan Radio, Joe talks about his Monday Night RAW experience from the First Niagara Center in Buffalo, NY this past Monday night. We get into a discussion on what Cena’s team should have on the line against The Authority’s power at Survivor Series. We talk about man on woman violence in professional wrestling as the discussion turns to Wednesday night’s Lucha Underground. And we can’t seem to remember anything that happened on SmackDown.
In the news, TNA seems to be vanishing from Spike TV’s airwaves in the near future. Myzteziz (The former Sin Cara) seconds Alberto Del Rio’s claim that WWE is racist. Hulk Hogan talks about John Cena, and laments having a legdrop for a finisher. Renee Young offends people with her Halloween costume. Injury updates on Santino Marella, Bo Dallas, and Zack Ryder. All this and much, much more on this week’s episode of BoredWrestlingFan Radio!
Last night, yours truly was at the First Niagara Center in Buffalo, attending a live broadcast of the flagship show of the biggest wrestling company on the planet – and my wife was falling asleep from boredom. I’m surprised I wasn’t as well.
That’s not to say that WWE RAW was bad last night. At least, not compared to most other weeks. The problem isn’t that RAW was boring last night. It’s that RAW is boring every week.
I just don’t care anymore. I don’t want to review this crap. So you can find a review elsewhere if you haven’t seen the show, but these are my random thoughts as I watched tonight’s episode.
That’s right folks! We’re on the cusp of the culmination of the Celebration of Professional Wrestling Week here at Bored Wrestling Fan and Wonderpod Online… and the Grand Daddy of them all, WrestleMania 28, is only a few hours away! Needless to say, we’re all excited and pumped to watch the PPV tonight. ThinkSoJoE, JT, and myself gathered around our microphones to talk about what to expect on tonight’s show in relation to RAW, Smackdown, and various news and rumors that have occurred since last Sunday’s official prediction podcast. There’s a couple particular notable ex-WWE stars in Miami over the weekend, and the WWE has announced that one of next years WrestleMania matches will be announced on Monday… or perhaps even teased tonight. What might happen? So as you count the hours down, what better a way to get even MORE pumped up than to check out our pregame show?
On Tuesday, the WWE trucks pulled into Calgary to tape Smackdown. Once again, I had the privilege to be a seat filler and temporary WWE staff member. I will break down the episode as it appears on TV, and live in person. I will also comment on my third consecutive opportunity to be a seat filler.
A special thanks to pintnoir who covered Impact Wrestling for our sites this week! Let’s get to it, shall we? (more…)
