1. Hockey Time!

    Hockey Time!

It may be Easter, but that doesn’t mean the BoredWrestlingFan Radio Crew didn’t get together to talk about this wacky world of professional wrestling.  This week, Joe, JT, G, Jorge, and Mark talk briefly about RAW and SmackDown, then get into a discussion about the state of tag team wrestling as Joe recounts a conversation he had with G earlier in the week regarding NXT Tag Team Champions The Ascension.  We talk in depth about the current state of TNA before getting into a discussion about merchandising in wrestling.  The Divas division is talked about.  The ability for Adam Rose to have longevity as a character is discussed.  In the news, DirecTV drops WWE PPV.  Warrior’s cause of death is revealed.  News on Jeff Jarrett, Brutus Beefcake, Sting, and many, many more – plus, you won’t believe who is on the payroll as a consultant for TNA.  All this and more on BWF Radio!

  2. Whelp, I got stuck at work later than usual. Then my computer decided to be a bitch. So I just started Smackdown anyways. This review will be truncated. But that’s ok, since that bastard who writes the crappy RAW reviews skips over the better parts of the reviews anyways… so no BWF Theatre, no letters from home. No signs in the crowd. Can I have some decorum, please?

  3. No wisecracks or jokes to start this week’s RAW review.  WWE has dedicated tonight to honoring the memory of Warrior, and out of respect for Warrior, I will save such nonsense for the performers on the show.  For what it’s worth, the autopsy results are in, Warrior died of heart disease.  While the investigation is still ongoing, it should be noted that the initial reports say natural causes, so no matter what some TV talking head would have you believe, Warrior’s death did not involve drugs or alcohol.

    #RIPWarrior

“…the spirit of Ultimate Warrior will run forever…”

Ribera jackets and Destrucity all around!  Joe, G, JT, and Mark pay tribute to the late Ultimate Warrior to kick off this week’s show.  Talk turns to how the landscape of wrestling on a professional level has changed over the past week with new champions Daniel Bryan, Paige, and Eric Young emerging since the last episode.  We talk about the disgrace known as HLN’s Nancy Grace and read tweets and statements from various people in the wrestling industry regarding her insinuation that Owen Hart’s death had anything to do with drugs or steroids.  In the second hour, IHWE wrestler Thomas Shire joins us to talk about his career thusfar and the upcoming IHWExperience event on June 8th in Fort Worth, TX.  Ribera jackets for all, on this week’s episode of BWF Radio!  Tune in!

  5. Our show begins with a graphic in memorial to The Ultimate Warrior who passed away shortly after his last appearance in WWE on Monday Night RAW. Micheal Cole voice notifies us that this Monday will be a tribute RAW to Warrior.

We’re going to be talking a lot about this on Sunday’s episode of BWF Radio. I will be reading some comments from BWF friends, Joe will read a speech, and I’m sure the others will chime in with memories. So I’m going to leave it at that, and just try to enjoy wrestling. What a week. Rollercoasters man…

  6. Over the past several nights, we as wrestling fans were graced with the presence of The Ultimate Warrior, one of the true legendary characters of our business.  On Saturday, he was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.  Sunday he appeared on WrestleMania, and last night he appeared on Monday Night RAW.  This evening we have received the sad news that Warrior has passed away at the age of 54.  We here at BoredWrestlingFan send our deepest condolences to Warrior’s family, friends, and all of our fellow Warrior fans at this time.  Thank you for everything, Warrior.

    Thank You, Warrior. 1959-2014

  7. You know, last year on the night after RAW, I was in the IZOD Center in East Rutherford, NJ helping to start Fandangoing, and shitting all over Randy Orton vs. Sheamus by chanting for everybody not involved in the match, including the ice cream guy, the cotton candy guy, and the pretzel guy.  This year, I’m sitting at work wishing I was in New Orleans, LA for tonight’s RAW.  And after a shocking WrestleMania, I can’t wait to see this crowd. Let’s go!

I watch 2 hours at home, drive to work, skip through the first two hours again, then watch the last hour.  All for you.  Yes, you, the specific individual reading this right now.  Because you are awesome.  Don’t ever let anybody tell you otherwise!
