Wonderpod has risen from the ashes one more time. Good thing it only takes a week or so to get over the fire damage. Getting the insurance to pay for a rodent caused fire is another thing. We got a little side tracked by wrestling this week. Which isn’t a bad thing given the time of year. There is still plenty of gaming goodness to be had. Now if you’ll excuse me I have demo of Lone Survivor to maul.
Greetings from Virginia! Just wanted to pop in and say happy holidays to everybody.
I also wanted to jump to CM Punk and Daniel Bryan’s defense. I wouldn’t blame this week’s low ratings on them. Monday Night Football was plagued by power problems and the game ran much later than usual, with playoff implications for the Steelers, one of the more popular teams in the NFL. Let’s see how things play out for the two Champions before jumping to conclusions.
Whoop-dee-do! It’s Thursday Night Suffering Time! According to some semi-spoilers I’ve run across (unintentionally), some are saying this is a sure contender for the worst iMPACT of ALL time. Great, and it’s my job to review it. Expects tangents… many, many umm… (more…)
I have to say something here, I just can’t let it go by the wasteside, nor can it wait.
What the hell happened to the St. Louis Rams? I was watching their game against Tennessee earlier, and I knew that the Titans were going to win, and that Chris Johnson was going to run all over them, but I didn’t know a team, could be that bad. Sure, they had to bring in their third-string rookie quarterback in at the last minute, but even with Marc Bulger, I still think the Rams would’ve sucked as much as they did.
It surprised me, when I heard that Steven Jackson, Rams Running Back, had the second highest amount of rushing yards in the year, when, judging by this game, they barely had an offensive line. The O Line only conceded one sack, but Jackson only got 47 yards, on 19 carries. 47 yards! That’s 2.5 yards per carry. Chris Johnson on the other hand, averaged 4.2 yards per carry, in gaining 117 yards and scoring two rushing touchdowns.
The St. Louis Rams are the worst team in the NFL. Worse than Tampa, worse than Cleveland, even worse than Detroit. They are that bad. The only good thing they have going for them, is Johnny Ace’s boy, James Laurinaitis. He looks to be a great linebacker.
Alright. This is going to be a challenge. I’m going to do my best to review RAW, keep up with the twitterverse, and watch my New York Yankees in game 5 of the World Series tonight. Thankfully, I’ve got picture in picture on both of my TVs now, so I can chill in my living room with my laptop and do it all from the comfort of my couch.
Also, I’m pissed off that Ozzy is the host this week. I get stuck with NASCAR dweebs when the Prince of f#$%^ Darkness is hosting this week? Boo! Whatever, let’s go!
That’s right, Bob Barker is hosting WWE RAW tonight – which is the only reason I’m even bothering to write RAW results tonight. Don’t know what else is going on, and I don’t really care. Come on down, you’re the next contestant on the Wrestling Fan is Bored!
After being involved in the coverage of WWE Extreme Rules this past week. II’m back to bring you my weekly Wednesday column. Now, all links will lead to my favourite racing moments or races or crashes, or just funny moments.
WWE
My opinions of Extreme Rules has already been expressed. So I’m going to comment on other things.
Umaga was released. A case of a guy who was pushed, then nothing. Pushed, then nothing. He had just recently come back and into the feud with CM Punk. The release comes as a bit of a shock but it isnt a surprise. He was getting pushed and pushed, and yet he wasnt getting the crowd reaction of a main event guy. Maybe he could do better in TNA. Speaking of which, guess where Mr. Kennedy’s going in September?
Vickie Guerrero quits as General Manager of RAW. Rumour has it, that she is leaving for good, to spend more time with her kids. Good for Vickie for wanting to spend time with your kids. No offence, but it seems, for the most part, you tarnished your late husband somewhat.
Triple H returns. Yes, the Game, the King of Kings returned on RAW to attack Legacy. Now, as we talked about during our Extreme Rules coverage, Hunter wasnt out for that long at all after the Scott Norwood kick. Shawn Michaels was out months, it ended the WWE career of RVD, and yet both Vince McMahon and Triple H were both out for about a month and a half. Those McMahons must have super powers or something.
TNA
To be honest, I missed iMPACT this week. due to my cable being down. Let’s see what I missed.
It doesnt look like much at all. The MMG and Lethal Consequences were named as Suicide’s opponents for the first ever X-Division King Of The Mountain. That isnt a shock at all. i’m sure I’ll have more next week.
I’m gonna finish this column with a reminder to Ricardo Rosset and Taki Inoue. Poor Taki needs to watch for cars, as for Ricardo. Well, thanks for making my night a whole lot better.
Peace out, or whatever, tune in next week, and read all the columns. Oh, and avoid the beer bottles, we just turned one, so we’re breaking it in. Well I am anyways, by drinking the place dry.
That’s right, we’re back with Friday Night SmackDown real-time coverage! It’s been a couple of weeks since the last time we did this, but we’re ready to go!
Friday Night SmackDown is on the air RIGHT NOW on MyNetwork TV!
Maryse & Natalya def. Michelle McCool & Maria when Maryse pinned Michelle as Maria was distracted by Festus.
Carlito & Primo def. Bam Neely & Chavo Guerrero when Carlito pinned Bam after Bam was distracted by an argument with Chavo.
Kung Fu Naki & R-Truth def. MVP & Shelton Benjamin when Naki pinned MVP.
The Brian Kendrick def. Super Crazy via pinfall.
Triple H vs. The Undertaker ended in a no contest when The Big Show attacked.
I’ve been playing for about 20 minutes now. I’m starting story mode, but so far, this game sucks!
Alright, an hour and a half later, I’ve been playing through story mode. I’m at like 30-someodd percent, and I’ve actually started to have fun. The gameplay is insanely repetitive, but not as much as the commentary is. I’m thinking that I may try to get all the achievements (or at least beat story mode), and get the trade in value. I guess we’ll see what happens.
