Sorry this post is extremely late today guys, I actually had most of it written last night and was expecting to have it up pretty early today, but then some douchebag didn’t show up for work, so I ended up stuck there for another two hours. In any event, last night’s show was pretty decent, compared to other post-draft episodes of ECW on Sci-Fi, but if you missed it, unless you’re really bored you can probably skip the X-stream on WWE.com.
Show results and analysis, after the jump! (more…)
I tuned in to ECW last night, and died a little inside. As a fan of the original ECW, to see a new belt – especially one so hideous – replace the original ECW Championship, it kills me. You might as well fire Tazz, Tommy Dreamer, and Little Guido while you’re at it, because the ECW I knew is one step closer to being 100% dead. The worst part about it was, last night’s show was in Philly. I miss Paul Heyman and Joey Styles. I miss the hardcore style, and I miss the old ECW Championship belt. As soon as the words “WORLD WRESTLING ENTERTAINMENT” became adorned on the ECW title, that was the absolute end of the ECW I knew and loved. Especially since the show I’ve been watching on Tuesday nights for the last four weeks has pretty much sucked.
Whatever, I’ve got a job to do – ECW results and my thoughts, after the jump. (more…)
Well, the legend of NostraJOEmas went the way of the dinosaur last night. I was only right on 50% of my predictions (including one that didn’t come up here, I picked Matt Hardy over Shelton Benjamin). Some of the ones I got wrong didn’t really surprise me, but others did. I wasn’t too thrilled with the PPV as a whole, though there were some bright spots, including the Shawn Michaels/Chris Jericho match. To be fair though, I think I went into the show with high expectations after last month’s Night of Champions, and the month of great RAWs and SmackDowns afterwards.
My thoughts, and the show results, after the jump! (more…)
Greetings! We’re doing ECW Real-Time tonight! What I’ll do to keep the front page clean is post the quick results up here, and the detailed results in the full post.
Tommy Dreamer was kicked out of the building by Teddy Long after bashing Mark Henry across the skull with a frying pan.
Mike Knox d. Shannon Moore
Evan Bourne d. Chavo Guerrero
Colin Delaney is attacked by Mark Henry backstage
The Hardy Boyz d. The Miz and John Morrison in a non title match.
ECW used to be the best show of the week, every week. Now, I barely feel like reviewing it. I’m not going extremely in depth this week, but here are the things that bug me: Finlay and Hornswoggle apparently getting another tag title shot; guys changing their names after their debut (Atlas Ortiz is now Ricky Ortiz), and Hall of Famers making heel turns on C shows.
