    As well as these categories, there’s also Diva of the Year and Superstar of the Year!  But, alongside the Slammys tonight, we also have to find out what Wade Barrett’s decision is concerning Nexus.  Will he rehire John Cena, or will he be outcast from the Nexus?

    However, before RAW went on the air, the following Superstars won the following awards:

    Best Performance By a Winged Specimen RAW Chicken
    Best Use of Exercise Equipment Rosa Mendes – Shake Weight
    Most Menacing Haircut Tyler Reks
    Best Family Values Kane destroying Swagger Sr. as Jack Swagger looks on

    Most Annoying Catchphrase Zack Ryder’s Woo Woo Woo, You Know It

    David Arquette is introduced, and says that there’s no one better to kick of the Slammy Awards than him.  Arquette says that he beat Eric Bischoff, and then says that he should have won an Oscar for his role in “Ready to Rumble”.  The first category of the Slammys is the Shocker of the Year! Is it The Miz cashing in on Orton? The Nexus debuting? Paul Bearer’s turn against the Undertaker? Or, will it be Randy Orton punting Chris Jericho in the skull?

    Wade Barrett comes out and says nothing for a few minutes.  Then, he speaks and says he accepts it on behalf of the Nexus.  Of course, the Nexus wouldn’t be there if it wasn’t for him.  If he wouldn’t have won NXT Season One and brought them with him, then they wouldn’t have become the most powerful group in the history of the WWE.  And speaking of power, he is the one man with the power to rehire John Cena.  Of course, the other members of Nexus have informed him that if he fails to rehire Cena, he’ll be excommunicated from the group.  That is, of course, the group he created.  He hasn’t made up his mind yet, but he will be making his decision before the night is over.  In the mean time, everyone can rest assured that Barrett will be creating many more shocking moments in the WWE.

    “Mr. Barrett, I’m going to give you the opportunity to give us yet another shocking moment in a match right now against this man.”

    Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeell, it’s a Big Show!

    Wade Barrett vs The Big Show

    Big Show took Wade’s Slammy, and Barrett looks upset.  Punk says that Show thinks there is chocolate under the Slammy, which is why he took it.

    Show goes for Barrett, but Barrett ducks under the rope.  And then again.  Barrett then slides out of the ring and walks around it.  The ref starts counting.  Barrett gets back in the ring at nine.  Show then fakes a hit and kicks Barrett on the stomach, then smacks him hard in the chest.  Show then goes to do it again, but Barrett pokes Show in the eye.  Barrett takes advantage and attacks the legs.  Show misses with a right hand, and Barrett continues to attack his legs.  The crowd has a Cena chant going, and Show swats Barrett away from him.  Barrett gets show on one knee, but Show gets up and is pissed, throwing Barrett all over the ring, and then out of it.  Show climbs out and smacks Barrett again.  Barrett is thrown back in the ring, and Show makes his way in as well.  Barrett rolls back out and grabs his Slammy.  Then, he proceeds to walk out of the match.

    Big Show wins by count out.

    The Superstar of the Year Nominees are Rey Mysterio, Randy Orton, Edge, John Cena, World Heavyweight Champion Kane, and WWE Champion The Miz.

    @Niki_Sushi ‘It’s not fair! It’s not fair!’ Bitch, this is professional wrestling, not dodgeball. #BWF #RAW

    @TKeep123 did I just see ANGRY MIZ girl in the crowd??? #WWE #RAW #Slammies

    Oh God. And again, the Diva of the Year will be determined in a battle royal… again.

    Kelly Kelly’s presenting Despicable Me Slammy of the Year with Tyson Kidd and Jackson Andrews, or whatever his name was.

    God, it’s been so long since I’ve had to listen to Kelly Kelly talk, and she still sounds disgustingly stupid.  And I agree with Tyson as he congratulates her for using more big words right now than ever in her life.  I like Tyson now.  The nominees are: Drew McIntyre humiliating Teddy Long (I want this one, just for Drew to talk to me), Kane burying the Undertaker alive, Mr. McMahon turning on Bret Hart after seeming to accept him, or CM Punk singing happy birthday to Rey Mysterio’s daughter.

    CM PUNK!

    The crowd doesn’t seem to know whether to cheer or boo him.

    Punk says this just goes to prove that if you work hard and believe in yourself, you’ll make all your dreams come true.  People ask him why he did it, and he did what he did because Rey wronged Punk, and when people wrong him, he gets even.  Right now, there’s another individual who has wronged him, and he’s going to talk specifically to this person, so he wants them to watch their back, because he will get even.  And if you think what he did to Rey and his family was despicable, you haven’t seen anything yet.

    Kofi comes out, and Punk says that it’s his moment.

    <COMMERCIAL>

    @WWEsAngel_Nef LMAO @ CM Punk #wwe #slammys Punk is fkn gold man!

    @kickoutblog Quite convenient that the Despicable Me award is one day before the movie comes out on DVD.

    @xescapeartists Did Tyson just make fun of Kelly Kelly? OMG TYSON. I LOVE YOU SO MUCH. And Kelly, you suck on the microphone. kthnks.

    @redsandman99 And the Bellas STILL think Daniel Bryan is the guest host!

    Kofi Kingston and United States Champion Daniel Bryan vs. Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler and Ted DiBiase with Maryse

    Daniel and Dolph start out, Ziggler with Bryan in a headlock.  Bryan fights out with elbows, but Ziggler takes him down, only for Bryan to kick out of the cover.  Ziggler tags in DiBiase, who holds Bryan against the ropes, distracting the ref while Ziggler delivers a cheap shot.  DiBiase goes for two covers in a row, but Bryan kicked out.  DiBiase tags in Ziggler, who runs right in and goes for a cover, only for Bryan to kick off.  Ziggler tags in DiBiase again, and kicks Bryan in the stomach.  DiBiase goes for another cover, but Bryan kicks out at two.  DiBiase gets Bryan in a headlock, and Bryan kicks out, ducking two clotheslines, and then both men running into one another in a cross body.  DiBiase rolled right out of the ring, and Bryan tags in Kingston.  Ziggler comes in, only to get a bunch of kicks to the face. Kingston Boom Drops Ziggler and then calls for the Trouble in Paradise, which connects.  Kingston goes for the cover and DiBiase just barely misses breaking the cover before the ref smacks the mat in three.

    Kofi Kingston and the United States Champion Daniel Bryan win via pinfall.

    Later to come, Sheamus and John Morrison meet one on one.

    <COMMERCIAL>

    @kickoutblog But speaking of Despicable Me… IT’S SO FLUFFY!

    @Niki_Sushi Vickie, Bellas, Daniel, Kofi…this could only get worse if Truth came out. #BWF #RAW

    @WWEsAngel_Nef I love how everyone has a woman at ringside except Kofi. Maybe he should ask DB if he can borrow a Bella Theres enough 2 go around #bwf #wwe

    Santino Marella and Vladimir Kozlov are going to present Guest Star Shining Moment of the Year!  Santino says that once again RAW was host to top performers in sports and entertainment.  Santino says that Kozlov was humiliated by the cast of MacGruber, and then Kozlov says the time that he destroyed Santino.  Santino apologizes, kisses his cheeks, and then steps away from an angry looking Kozlov.  The Nominees are Mike Tyson for punching out Chris Jericho, Pee Wee Herman vs The Miz, Wayne Brady getting an RKO, or William Shatner singing Superstar Entrance Themes.

    Via satellite, Pee Wee says he just received word that he won.  He’s never won anything like that before and he’s overwhelmed, and he’d like to thank The Miz, Big Show (AKA Big Pee Wee), and he’s ready to come back anytime, and it’s incredible, and he’s going to burst, and thank you, and all that good stuff.

    Backstage, Barrett puts his Slammy up and is confronted by Nexus.  Otunga says they want his decision.  If he doesn’t hire Cena back, Nexus will be just fine, but Otunga can’t say the same thing for Barrett.  Taking that beating from Show didn’t look too promising for Barrett’s singles career.  Barrett thanks Otunga for opening his eyes and says he knows exactly what he has to do.

    <COMMERCIAL>

    @JoeyStyles William Shatner was robbed of a Slammy

    @WWEsAngel_Nef WILLIAM SHATNER WAS ROBBED!!!!!!!!!!!!!! #WWE #bwf #Slammys

    @RingsideRants That crowd could not care less about Pee Wee Herman.

    @Niki_Sushi Johnny Knoxville should win, just for knocking Ted on his ass. I’m just saying. #BWF #RAW

    Mark Henry vs. “Dashing” Cody Rhodes

    Rhodes can’t even get his jacket out of the ring before Henry runs after him.  Henry goes after Rhodes, and Rhodes ducks under the ropes.  Rhodes ducks a clothesline, and then is thrown across the ring, and then is hit with a clothesline.  Henry then screws with Rhodes’ face, and Rhodes goes Hulk on him.  Rhodes rips Henry and then jumps all over him, literally, and then puts him in a headlock.  Henry refuses to submit, and manages to get up to his feet.  Rhodes goes to kick him, but Henry pushes him back and then clotheslines him a few times.  Rhodes thrown into the corner, and then gets Henry’s giant ass in his stomach.  Henry goes to do it again and Rhodes hits Beautiful Disaster, then takes him down.  Rhodes then jumps off the top rope and plants his knee in Henry’s spine for the win.

    “Dashing” Cody Rhodes wins via pinfall.

    Next up is the Holy %&^*%&* Move of the Year.

    <COMMERCIAL>

    @Niki_Sushi I really… really… want some kool-aid right now. HE’S DANCING MY FACE, DAMMIT! >:O #BWF #RAW

    @seraphalexiel At this point, I’m positive that a win over Mark Henry should no longer be considered an upset victory

    Jerry “The King” Lawler is presenting us with the next award!… along with Vickie Guerrero.  Don’t worry, King, you aren’t the only one upset.  King says he’s glad to see Vickie and he’s lucky to be there, because he was up all night with his pet lizard who had reptile dysfunction.  I laughed.    Vickie says Holy…. Is the exact reaction she had when Cole caused Jerry the WWE Championship.  King says that that’s probably the reaction Ziggler has when she models lingerie, or goes into the restaurant and says she’ll take it when given the menu.  Vickie says she’s lost weight, and Jerry says to look around, and she’ll find it.

    Nominees!  Morrison jumps off the set onto Daniel Bryan and The Miz, Kingston leg drops Drew off a ladder through the announce table, Cena AA’s Batista through the stage, and Randy RKO’s Evan in midair.

    John Cena!  King says hold up, because Cena is fired and can’t be there, so they’re going to accept it.

    Barrett comes out and says that he’ll take that.  If Cena wants it, he can come and get it.  The whole world is hanging on Barrett’s every word, because he’s about to decide whether or not to rehire John Cena.  Barrett says his decision is… … … … Barrett says that he’s not going to make his decision unless John Cena comes down to the ring and faces him.  The crowd starts screaming and Barrett’s eyes dart around to try to find Cena.  Cena hugs a bunch of people and high fives people and makes his way to the ring.  Barrett tells him to keep his distance, and that if Cena attacks him now, his decision will be obvious.  Barrett says that he’s thought long and hard about this decision, and it affects a lot of people: Cena, Barrett, and the Nexus.  The Nexus comes out, but John doesn’t seem scared.  Nexus surrounds the ring again.  All these long pauses of silence are getting on my nerves.  Barrett says that Cena is officially rehired… on two conditions:  1) Cena agrees to face Barrett this Sunday at TLC in a chair match, which Cena agrees to.  2) Cena gives the whole world what they’ve been waiting to see: Tonight, he goes one-on-one with David Otunga.  Otunga looks shocked, but Cena laughs and agrees to that too.  Barrett says he wants to show Cena exactly why he wanted to rehire him.  And Nexus climbs up on the apron, and Cena fights, and Nexus gangs up on him.  Barrett slides in the ring with a steel chair, and smacks Cena with it when he goes to get up.  Then again.  Barrett and Nexus leave the ring.  Welcome back, Cena.

    Next week is WWE Week on USA!  Monday night at 9 is RAW, Tuesday night at 9 is Smackdown, LIVE, and Tribute to the Troops is Wednesday at 8!!

    David Arquette is back, with a change of clothes, to say something: he’s opening a theater at the historic Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood.  They’ll be debuting on Valentine’s Day 2011.  He wants to introduce the WWE Universe Fan Reaction of the Year.  This encapsulates what makes the WWE Universe so great.  Nominees: Weird Kid Reacting to Cena joining Nexus.  Loser Crying when Shawn Michaels’ career ended at Wrestlemania, some Kid, and then the Angry Miz Girl.

    I officially hate her.  She thanks her dad and her sister, and-

    AWESOME

    I really hate her right now.

    Miz kneels in front of her, to a rather unimpressed face, and asks if she remembers him.  He says she looks so pretty, and compliments her Slammy. He asks if he can take a look at her Slammy, and the girl looks half dead.  He says that he should take it for safe-keeping, and then asks if she can do him a favor: show him the face, and then mocks her for the face.  He makes Riley hold it, and says that he deserves a Slammy, not a nine-year-old girl.  Nobody’s worked harder than him.  He’s held the United States, Unified Tag Team, Money in the Bank, and WWE Championships.  That’s called a Grand Slam.  He finds it amazing that tonight is the Slammys when there are still three weeks left in the year, because if you want a moment of the year, tune in this Sunday to TLC where he’ll beat Orton so bad, Orton will beg him to put him through a table.  He’ll prove why Miz is the reason they’re here tonight-

    “I decided that six days before your tables match at TLC, both you and Randy Orton are going to face former champions tonight.  And Miz, your match against a former World Champion, begins right now.”

    WWE Champion The Miz vs Rey Mysterio

    Miz and Rey go to lock up, but Miz kicks Rey, then beats him into the corner.  Miz then whips Rey across the ring, but Rey throws him out of the ring, and then sentons him outside the ring.

    <COMMERCIAL>

    @Niki_Sushi It’s like taking a Slammy from a very angry 9 year old girl who would love nothing more than to beat you to death with it. #BWF #RAW

    @kickoutblog Did Miz just steal Miz Girl’s Slammy?! Hilarious.

    @HitTheRopes Where’s Kalee’s dad? Just for realism, dad should have gotten in Miz’s face. #wwe

    @TKeep123 ANGRY MIZ GIRL…..LIVE!!! ….and she WINS!! …and she still ain’t happy! #WWE #RAW #BWF #Slammy

    @AngryGirlWWE I WIN! I WIN!!!!! #angrygirlwwe

    @RingsideRants Miz Girl is a better actress than Dixie Carter.

    We come back to Rey fighting and throwing Miz across the ring.  Miz went to counter one of Rey’s moves, but Rey countered that one.  Rey shoves Miz into the ropes and gets ready for the 619, but Alberto Del Rio interrupts, and Miz climbs out of the ring.  Rey slides out of the ring, but gets face planted into the apron by Miz.  Miz throws him back in and goes for a cover, but Rey kicks out at two.  Miz dominates Rey, putting him up on the top rope, and climbing up after him.  Miz sets up a suplex, but Rey throws him off and hits a seated senton, then flies into a lateral press on Miz.  Miz shoves Rey back and then kicks him in the stomach.  Rey kicks him in the head and Miz kicks out of the pin.  Miz goes to hit him, but Rey gets a drop toe hold on Miz and goes for the 619, but Alberto is on the apron and distracts him.  Rey set s up again, but Riley distracts the ref and Alberto takes Rey down.  Miz sneaks up a cover.

    WWE Champion The Miz wins via pinfall.

    Rey chases Alberto Del Rio down the ramp.

    “As I said earlier, both The Miz and Randy Orton will face former champions tonight.  Miz just faced Rey Mysterio and later tonight, Randy Orton will compete in a handicapped match against Alex Riley and his partner, former WCW World Heavyweight Champion, David Arquette.”

    Well, way to give a match to Randy.  Because legitimately building up momentum is overrated.

    Still to come, the Diva Clusterfuck Battle Royal for the Diva of the Year Slammy.  And John Morrison and Sheamus have yet another match next.

    <COMMERCIAL>

    @kickoutblog Miz Girl should do a run-in and cost Miz the match.

    @TKeep123 Is it wrong I’m looking forward to the Cross-brand DIVA Battle Royal? …Ok, and hoping for wardrobe malfunction? #WWE #RAW #BWF #Slammy

    Edge is here to give out the Slammy for the Oh SNAP! Meltdown of the Year, a category he is nominated for.  He says that it’s an honor to be out there tonight to present the Slammy and he’s pretty sure Kane was supposed to be his co-presenter tonight because he’s probably having a Meltdown of his own right now.   Right now, Edge needs a co-presenter, one he’s comfortable with, one that he knows well and has had chemistry with…

    If you close your eyes you’ll find naked truth revealed…

    I marked out right here.  I really did.  Edge asks how his pec is and Christian says it’s fine.  Christian says that he hopes Del Rio wins, because he and his Peeps haven’t forgotten what happened.  The nominees are:  Show destroying Swagger’s trophies, Alberto del Rio freaking out all over Rey Mysterio, Edge destroying the RAW General Manager’s laptop (“You’ve got the crazy eyes!”), or Batista quitting the WWE.

    Edge!!

    Edge says that he appreciates the Slammy, but for Meltdown of the Year?  He doesn’t get it.  He’s always been calm and rational, but sure he may have lost his cool a few times because of a RAW General Manager who hides behind a computer, and has no guts and Christian tries to stop Edge.  Christian’s phone goes off and he says that he’s just received an email… nah, just kidding.  He is the RAW General Manager.

    Sunday, Edge will be the World Heavyweight Champion, but after all these years one thing has remained the same: Michael Cole is still a massive tool.

    King Sheamus vs John Morrison

    Sheamus shoves Morrison right into the corner, then slaps him hard, and then proceeds to just beat the hell out of Morrison.  Morrison then beats the crap out of Sheamus.  Sheamus goes right through the damn ref to get to Morrison, then Morrison gets the momentum… I don’t even know.

    Nobody wins due to double count out.

    More refs come out to try to get them apart, but the two of them are vowing death to the other, but still.

    “Sheamus, Morrison, it’s obvious this issue of yours isn’t going to be resolved tonight, so I’ve decided to raise the stakes.  Not only will the two of you will compete at TLC Sunday, but the winner will become the next Number One Contender to the WWE Championship. The winner will be the man who gets the contract that is suspended above the ring.  That’s right, the two of you will compete in a Number One Contender’s Ladder Match.”

    Sheamus yells at Cole, then grabs a ladder.  He then slams it into Morrison, who walked right the hell into it, and then climbs in the right to further beat the hell out of Morrison, and throws him out of the ring, into the ladder.

    Still to come, Randy will face Riley and Arquette, Cena and Otunga will face up.

    <COMMERCIAL>

    @Niki_Sushi How do you win an award for beating up a computer? How do you win an award for puking on someone? The same way, akshully. #BWF #RAW

    @seraphalexiel Honestly, I would have preferred if Del Rio and Mysterio got the ladder match

    @RingsideRants Oh damn…. a potential Morrison-Miz title program in the works??

    Presenting the Slammy for Knucklehead Moment of the Year is… JTG and William Regal?  SERIOUSLY?!  I love Regal, but seriously?  With JTG?  Regal at least just shakes his head at JTG.

    Nominees: Show unmasks a bald CM Punk, Mae Young PWNS Lay-Cool, Beth Phoenix eliminates Khali via… kiss?!, and Santino Marella is out-danced by… Vladimir Kozlov?!

    Mae Young beating LayCool… But Lay Cool is totally here.  God.  Layla says she’d thank Mae Young, but they don’t get basic cable at the nursing home, and the award is Flawless.

    @kickoutblog A battle royal to determine Diva of the Year? Doesn’t that just determine the Diva of December 13th?

    Diva Clusterfuck Battle Royal to determine Diva of the Year

    Layla, Michelle McCool, Kelly Kelly, Alicia Fox, Beth Phoenix, Maryse, Brie and Nikki Bella, Melina, Eve Torres, Diva’s Champion Natalya, Gail Kim, Kaitlyn, and Tamina?  Anyway, Kaitlyn and Rosa are eliminated first, Tamina, Bella Whore 1, Eve Torres, Bella Whore 2, Maryse, Kelly Kelly, Melina (after a Glam Slam into the ropes), Layla, Beth Phoenix, Gail, Alicia Fox, and Diva’s Champion Natalya.

    Michelle McCool wins.

    “Celebrate all you want tonight, ladies, but this Sunday may be a different story.  At TLC, LayCool will meet WWE Diva’s Champion Natalya and her partner, Beth Phoenix, in the first ever Diva’s Table Match.”

    Next up, Edge takes on Jack Swagger.

    You think you know me…

    Edge vs Jack Swagger

    Edge and Swagger lock up, but Swagger gets the momentum and slams Edge down to the ground.  Swagger keeps momentum over Edge, throwing Edge across the ring and into the opposite corner.  Edge, however, takes no shit, and beats Swagger, who manages to come back by dropping Edge stomach-first into his knee.  Swagger goes for a cover, but Edge kicks out at two.  Swagger then puts Edge in… a submission my brain isn’t providing a name for right now, but Edge fights to his feet and then eats the heel of Swagger’s boot.  Swagger goes for another cover, but Edge kicks out.  Here, Cole points out to us that TLC means Tables, Ladders, and Chairs.  Thanks Cole! :B  Edge fights off of Swagger’s shoulders and drops Swagger straight to the mat.  Edge ducks a clothesline and slams into Swagger before dropping him to the mat and going for a cover.  Swagger kicks out at two, and Edge goes to Whip him, but gets thrown to the mat, and he kicks out of Swagger’s cover at two.  Swagger runs across the ring and goes to drop on Edge, but Edge lifts his legs and Swagger tries to lock in the ankle lock, but Edge rolls over.  Swagger goes for the Gutwrench Powerbomb, which we haven’t seen in forever, and Edge counters out of it, dropping Swagger to the ground.  He sets up for the Spear and hits it.

    Edge wins via pinfall.

    WWE Champion The Miz and Alex Riley are backstage talking about David Arquette.  Miz says that he’ll be out there too.  Arquette runs up and says that he and Miz have a lot in common: they have Hollywood careers, they’re both awesome.  Riley says that Orton is dangerous and Arquette is delusional.  Miz says he has one goal in mind: To put Orton through a table.

    <COMMERCIAL>

    @kickoutblog Edge vs. Jack Swagger will be preempted for Jack Swagger vs. his t-shirt.

    @Niki_Sushi I’ve always wondered what exactly they stare off into the distance at… is there a target saying ‘LOOK HERE’? #BWF #RAW

    Cool Smackdown vs RAW 2011 award thing.

    WWE Moment of the Year Slammy will be presented by The Big Show!  Show walks over to get a better mic, and says that there are many legendary moments in the WWE, and here are this year’s nominees: Cena rules fairly and is fired from the WWE.  Sheamus attacks Triple H from behind during Triple H’s farewell speech.  Edge Spears Jericho through the barrier.  Shawn Michaels’ final match against The Undertaker.

    Shawn Michaels!

    Shawn couldn’t be here tonight, but he is on the Tron!!!  Shawn says he can’t give away his location for fear the WWE would try to get him to come back, and he thanks everyone for making his life worth living, and Shawn tweeted that this part was taped earlier, so it’s NOT LIVE YOU LIARS!  Shawn thanks everyone for the ride, and says that he doesn’t miss it, but misses the fans.  Hopefully, we can all see each other very soon, and says good luck!

    Later tonight, Cena takes on Otunga.  Up next, Randy Orton will get great momentum going into TLC by defeating these two nobodies in Riley and Arquette… I mean… Will have a match.

    @seraphalexiel Shawn Michaels, you were like no other. I’m happy that you’re happy. Thank you for everything

    I hear voices in my head…

    Randy Orton vs. Alex Riley and David Arquette

    Looks like Riley will start out with Orton, because he didn’t learn last week, and the two go to lock up, but Orton is obviously pissed, and he beats the hell out of Riley in the corner.  He then Whips Riley, who counters it, and then Riley is smacked to the ground.  Orton uppercuts him, then goes for the cover, but Riley kicks out at two.  Riley is then hurled around the ring, but Orton runs right into Riley’s feet.  Arquette gets tagged in and jumps on Orton, who looks at him like he’s an idiot, and then kicks him in the stomach.  Orton starts pounding the mat, and wisely tags in Riley who looks at him like he’s an idiot, but Orton drops him in a back breaker.  Orton then smashes his foot into Riley’s face.  But, Riley moves when Orton goes to drop his knee in Riley’s face, but Orton still kicks out of the cover.  Orton fights back against Riley, and then delivers a knee to Orton’s midsection as Orton goes to him.  When the ref isn’t looking, Arquette has Orton in a headlock.  Riley then walks into Orton’s fist, but then Riley runs into the clothesline.  Orton then scoop slams Riley and jerks around, chucking Riley back to the mat.  Riley gets up, Orton hits the RKO, and that’s all she wrote.

    Randy Orton wins via pinfall.

    After the match, Miz slams the Money in the Bank briefcase into Orton’s’ head, and Arquette is going to help him this time around.  Like a dumbass.  Miz gets the table set up, and gets Orton up.  Punk pretends that he has no idea what Miz is going to do, and Miz and Arquette go to double suplex Orton into the table, but Orton counters and beats Miz down.  He goes to power bomb Miz, but Arquette gets him out of it.  Miz rolls out of the ring, and Arquette is left to take the power bomb through the table.

    Coming up, John Cena takes on David Otunga.

    @Niki_Sushi Tool of the Year award. Who would win? David Arquette or Michael Cole? #BWF #RAW

    Cole comes out and says that 2010 had some great quotes.  The Nominees for the And I Quote Line of the Year are from Santino, Cena, Edge… and so many others.  My favorite is Cody’s “Don’t breathe on me”.

    Seriously?  Michael Cole.  I think he’s lying.  He pulls the ‘I wasn’t expecting this’ thing and pulls out a paper.  The thanks the non-existent Cole Miners and The Miz, and the sound guys cut him off.  Good.  Anyway.  Superstar of the Year awards is next.

    @seraphalexiel “Duct tape? Are you serious?”

    @FrankWWEClown I’ll be accepting my award for “And I Quote of the Year” for….”I HATE YOU HEATH SLATER, I HATE YOU!!!” Tootin’ my own horn. 🙂 #WWE

    Teddy Long is going to present the Superstar of the Year Slammy!  The nominees are Edge, WWE Champion The Miz, World Heavyweight Champion Kane, John Cena, Rey Mysterio, and Randy Orton.

    John Cena.

    BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR RUFFLES TOO!

    Cena comes out and thanks everyone for not giving up on him.  He says that this award was our award to give away and he finds it amazing that we gave it to him because up to an hour ago he didn’t have  a job.  It’s been a crazy year: he was forced to join the Nexus (only good thing being that he could pee in Barrett’s coffee), he was fired (and got to tailgate with the WWE Universe), and there’s magic on Bourbon Street.  Cena says that what happened to him was his own fault, but he is now back fulltime on RAW.  He will continue to be a man of his word.  He has gotten to each and every member of the Nexus except Otunga and Barrett.  Tonight, when Otunga steps in the ring, he doesn’t care if he brings Hasky, McG, the dude from something (AXE MURDERER!) or the chick from Wendy’s, Otunga is getting hurt.  Sunday at TLC, every ounce of frustration, misery, anger will be unleashed.  This Sunday, at TLC, we have his word: Wade Barrett will be destroyed.

    John Cena vs. David Otunga

    Barrett takes the mic and says that before the match starts, he wants to remind Cena what happened earlier, what’s going to happen tonight, and what will happen on Sunday.

    <VIDEO PACKAGE: Nexus attacks Cena and Barrett attacks Cena with a chair.>

    Otunga turns around and high fives Nexus, or forearm bump, or something, except Barrett.  Otunga walks down to the ring.  Fina-fuckin-lly.

    And now, like last week with Barrett, the Nexus slowly walks out on Otunga.

    Cena, however, wants to fight, so he forces Otunga into the ring and smacks Otunga Show-style., then again on the back.  Cena knees Otunga in the stomach, and chucks Otunga to the mat.  Cena Whips Otunga across the ring, then runs his shoulder into Otunga’s face.  Cena throws Otunga into the corner, then Whips him back around the ring, and Otunga finally moves.  Otunga wails on Cena, bouncing around like a ping pong ball, and then goes back to Cena.  Otunga goes for the cover, but Cena kicks out.  Otunga goes to lift Cena, but Cena drops him with a drop toe hold and locks in the STF.  Otunga taps out.

    John Cena wins via submission.

    Cena grabs a chair as Barrett walks out with a chair again.  Cena then proceeds to use that chair on Otunga.  And again. And again. And again.  Cena then drags Otunga to the middle of the ring, and then massacres Otunga with it.  Barrett seems more amused than scared, Cena.

    So, there’s the Slammys!  I have an idea in mind for something for those of you who tweet for me every week, but I have to see if it’ll work out.  Keep an eye on my Twitter, and on the BWF website, because I may post it there if I don’t wait until next week.  Thanks a lot, and I’ll be back for you next week!

  2. This is the first of a three-part series of articles focusing on womens’ wrestling in general and the TNA Knockouts division in particular. A new interactive (sort of) roundtable feature titled “Say What???” will also begin here, where you, dear reader, e-mail me your comments on a short list of questions posted at the end of the article, and I post them here on BWF. Anyone and everyone reading is invited to participate. Don’t skip to the end, stay with it! (more…)

  3. Howdy, BoredWrestlingFans! Rich Flynn here, for a second week of SmackDown! coverage. This week’s report is coming to you a little later than I had anticipated, thanks again to frantic University deadlines, which I apologise for. Thanks to everyone for their kind words about my first show report last week – here’s hoping I can keep working and improving!

    All the same, let’s get this show on the road… (more…)

  4. Last Sunday was the Final Resolution PPV. So naturally, with everything resolved, there will be no more conflict. Total Nonstop … umm…. umm… presents: iMPACT!

    I generally take a peek at the non-spoiler card for shows I suffer through and review. And normally I don’t start off these intro segments with any reference… but tonight is different. Daffney is back on my television tonight! Let’s find out if TNA presents her as a threat, or uses her as enhancement…

  5. Welcome once again to the show that never ends, I’m so glad you could attend, come inside, come inside!

    Yes folks, it is I, the patron saint of Bored Wrestling Fans around the world, ThinkSoJoE, back with another ThinkSoJoE’s thoughts.  If you’re wondering about the title of this week’s article, “Ride it ’til the wheels fall off,” which you’ll recognize as a line from R-Truth’s “What’s Up,” I actually literally did just that to my car this week.  Actually, I wasn’t in the car when it happened, and luckily the people who were borrowing my car at the time weren’t hurt.  A lesson for those of you who, like myself, don’t know a damned thing about cars – if you must use a donut spare, it goes on the rear wheels of a front wheel drive vehicle.  Nobody told me that, and three struts broke off of my car and the wheel fell off.

    Anywho, NXT Season 4 started up this week.  Nobody in the United States gives a crap because we don’t get it on television anymore, and I don’t know about any of you, but the web feed on WWE.com is extremely pixelated on my computer.  Rumor going into last week’s announcement of this season’s rookie/pro combinations was that Michael Cole was initially slated to be a pro, but was nixed at the last minute.  So here’s my take.  Rather than have Cole start the season off as an NXT pro, he gets RKO’d on RAW the night before the season premiere.  Cole will undoubtedly seek some kind of protection from future attacks, so have him interrupt an NXT broadcast (webcast?) and proclaim himself as a pro, have his rookie destroy one of the other rookies, and take their spot.  Cole mentors the guy, and in exchange, the rookie watches over Cole on RAW.  Sound good?

    Ahem.  CO-BRA, CO-BRA, CO-BRA!  New WWE Tag Team Champions this week in Santino Marella and Vladimir Kozlov, with the major assist to John Cena, who distracted Justin Gabriel just long enough to allow Santino’s Cobra to strike.

    Ah, John Cena.  Looks like he’ll be fired for all of four weeks – you know that The Nexus isn’t going anywhere and that without Barrett, there’s nobody fit to lead the group, in my humble opinion.  Look, factions don’t work well without their original leader, save for an HBK-less DX in the late 90s.  Nexus without Barrett would be like The 4 Horsemen without Ric Flair, the nWo without either Hogan or Nash at the helm, or the Straight Edge Society without CM Punk.  Besides, the t-shirts they just released last week feature Barrett’s picture right on them.  He ain’t going anywhere.

    I do love the Top Rope Nexus t-shirts that they were all wearing this week on RAW.  Too bad they cost $40.  BTW, if you’re looking for something to get me for Christmas, get me something for the benefit of those with flash photography.

    Hmm.  Edge got to pick the stipulation for his match with Kane at TLC and picked – wait for it… wait for it… – a TLC match!  You’re kidding!

    Jeff Hardy allegedly showed up in no condition to perform this past Sunday at TNA Final Resolution.  Yet, he still managed to go out and wrestle.  I didn’t see the match, but I’ve heard that Matt Morgan carried him through it.  Good thing for TNA and Jeff Hardy that Matt Morgan does have a pretty good wrestling mind.  Hardy was back in court earlier today, but I’ve heard no more info as of this time.

    Hey, here’s some interesting legal news.  The Tennessee Titans are planning to challenge WWE’s trademark of the word “Titantron.”  Here’s the problem with that.  WWE was using the word “Titantron,” and likely had the trademark, at least two years before the NFL franchise changed their name to the Titans.  The team adopted the name in 1999, nearly 11 years ago, and are just now challenging this trademark.  Good luck with that one.

    Hey, here’s a random thought – if Jeff Hardy is supposed to be in court, isn’t that something that would prevent him from leaving the country and going somewhere like, say, Abu Dhabi?  Ah well, I digress.

    I guess that’s it for now.  I’ll see you all again real soon!

  6. It’s been a couple weeks since I last made a review, and I’d like to thank the boss man himself, ThinkSoJoE for covering the past two weeks for me!  Now, next week is a special three-hour RAW (Jeez, these things are popping up everywhere! Old School, then King of the Ring, and now this!) that is dedicated to the Slammy Awards!  But, we’re not there yet!

    Tonight on Monday Night RAW, Randy Orton returns to the ring, Michael Cole must answer for his actions last week during the TLC match between Jerry “The King” Lawler and WWE Champion The Miz, and there’s supposed to be a Fatal Four Way match for the WWE Tag Team Championships?! Only way this can get better is if Jerry Lawler knocks Michael Cole out again!

    <VIDEO PACKAGE: WWE Champion The Miz gets challenged for a title match against Jerry “The King” Lawler. The two face off in a TLC match, where Michael Cole interferes to assist The Miz in retaining the WWE Championship.>

    Jerry Lawler and CM Punk are sitting together without Michael Cole!!  The crowd chants for him, and Punk says that he thinks Lawler would have done it if it hadn’t been for Michael Cole.

    Cole interrupts and comes out from the stage with a mic.  He says that it is with the deepest remorse that he comes out tonight to try to explain his actions last week.  He’s been wrestling with it all week long, and he doesn’t know why he did what he did.  These people don’t understand how traumatic last week was for him.  The hate mail that he received, how could everyone write those hurtful things about him?  But, the one thing he won’t’ do is apologize for the way he feels about the Miz, because when The Miz started in this company, Cole was the only one who supported him.  And when The Miz won the WWE Championship, it was like his own son had won the championship.  So, Jerry, last week, when all this was going on in the ring, and Miz was down, and Jerry was climbing… Cole got caught up in the emotion of the moment.  Jerry, because of that, that’s what he deeply regrets.

    King picks up a mic and says that he really expected Cole to apologize, because Cole cost him the WWE Championship.  Cole says he regrets his actions last week and asks if King has ever made a mistake, and says he made a mistake.  King says that it may be a mistake, but he may have to go up there and finish what he started last week.  He stands up, but Cole tells him to wait.  Punk says he’s not going to stop King.  Cole says they should talk about this like adults.  The way he just acted, it rang a bell in Cole’s head.  Cole believes the way that King just acted, King is as much to blame for last week as Cole is.  Cole and King are supposed to report on the news, not make it.  Last week, King made the news, King was the headline.  King had to be Jerry “The King” Lawler one more time.  He had to steal the spotlight, he couldn’t let The Miz have his one moment.  King had to steal it from him.  So, the more Cole thinks about this, he doesn’t think he owes King an apology.  He thinks King owes him an apology.  King says he’s going to come and give Cole what he thinks he owes Cole.

    <YOU’VE GOT MAIL>

    Punk says that he’ll handle it, since Cole’s scared to get out of the ring.  Punk steps up to the podium and tells everyone hello.  He says he’s always wanted to do it, then mocks Cole, much to everyone’s amusement.

    “I am ordering a cease and desist on any physicality between Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler.  Violation of this order will result in termination.  What I would like right now is for Jerry to get in the ring and shake hands with Michael.”

    Jerry starts toward the ring, and Punk says this isn’t worth King’s job.  King gets in the ring, and shakes Cole’s hand.  Cole walks away, but Jerry didn’t let go.  King says no physicality.  But, he thinks there’s someone in the back who may want to say something to him.

    I hear voices in my head…

    Randy walks out, Cole tries to leave again, but Lawler holds him there.  Lawler finally lets Cole’s hand go, but keeps him in the ring anyway.  Randy stands there, and Cole goes to leave, but Lawler makes him stay.

    Orton says that he wants Cole to send a message to The Miz: Randy doesn’t blame him for cashing in when he did, because if the roles were reversed, he would have done the exact same thing.  As a matter of fact, Randy and The Miz are a lot alike.  The only difference is that Randy has proven that he has the ability to back up what he says in the ring.  So, Cole, keep rooting for the Miz, Randy doesn’t care, because injured knee or not, he’s going to take back the WWE Championship from The Miz tonight.

    AWESOME!

    The Miz and Alex Riley walk out, with Lawler still keeping Cole in the ring, and Miz says that Randy used to be so original, so willing to stand on his own, but now he sounds like everyone else who is underestimating Miz.  This past summer, they were both in the same Money in the Bank match. The only difference is Miz won and Randy lost.  Now, Randy’s left standing there in the middle of that ring with nothing more than tough talk and an injured knee.  Well, Miz stands on that stage, the new WWE Champion, and as far as Randy winning back his title tonight, yeeeah, that’s not gonna happen.  Because, the RAW Gm already informed him that he successfully defended his title last week, he doesn’t have to defend it again until TLC in two weeks, against Randy. T he good news is that Randy’s knee is going to be all better, but it doesn’t make a difference, because Randy’s going to lose again.  Randy says that it’s a great plan, but where are the seven guys who are going to beat him down before he faces him.  Randy tells him not to look at Alex, because Riley doesn’t count as one.  Riley says that that’s pretty funny coming from a guy on one leg.  And even though The Miz doesn’t have to lower himself by facing Randy, Alex has five minutes to kill, and he’d like to challenge Randy Orton to a match.  Randy says he doesn’t know what it is Alex just said, but he accepts.  Miz says there’s one more thing Miz has to tell Randy, and that’s the stipulation for TLC. So, he’s going to think long and hard, because his decision is going to be just like him: Awesome.  Randy says he’s looking forward to Miz’s decision, and for anyone out there who thinks he may be too injured to compete, there is one thing, injured knee or not, that he can still do very well.  He then RKOs Michael Cole.

    They play the video replay back, and Punk says that Cole tripped on his clown shoes right into an RKO.  During the commercial, referees and staff had to help Michael Cole out of the ring.  Josh Matthews joins Jerry Lawler and CM Punk ringside for commentary.

    Ted DiBiase and Maryse vs United States Champion Daniel Bryan and Brie or Nikki Bella

    Before the match one of the Bellas is already on Daniel’s arm, and the other one isn’t happy about it.  But no one cares, because Maryse is in the ring.

    DiBiase and Bryan start up, locking up for DiBiase to push him away.  The other Bella heads down to the ring, and DiBiase keeps control of Daniel.  Punk hopes another Maryse comes down, and so do I.  Bryan gets control over DiBiase now, and Matthews calls Punk Miz.  In the ring, the Divas are in, and Brie, I guess, gets advantage over Maryse, who goes for a cover, but Maryse kicks out.  Maryse fights back, dropping Brie hard.  Maryse seems to have hurt herself, and yells at DiBiase, then at Brie.  She goes for a clothesline, but misses, only for Brie to go for a cover.  DiBiase breaks it up, and Nikki switches while Maryse yells at Bryan, who is distracting the ref.  Nikki goes for a small package and gets it for the win.  Shit match, gonna be honest.

    United States Champion Daniel Bryan and Nikki Bella win via pinfall.

    Brie and Nikki seem to be working together again, and in the ring, Maryse and DiBiase fight, but Maryse puts her hand in his face, and walks away.  He glares after her.

    Coming up, Gabriel and Slater take on the Usos, Kozlov and Marella, and Henry and Tatsu for the WWE Tag Team Championships, and an exclusive interview with Wade Barrett.

    Next week is a special three-hour RAW for the Slammy Awards!

    @kickoutblog Good news: Daniel Bryan match without Michael Cole commentating. Bad news: it’s also a Bella match.

    @seraphalexiel This is why Ted should’ve stuck with Virgil.

    <VIDEO PACKAGE: R-Truth calls out a member of Nexus, but John Cena takes out McGuillicutty, Slater, and Gabriel.>

    Now, the Wade Barrett interview, via satellite.  Otunga, however, tells us that Barrett’s on his way to the arena for Slater and Gabriel’s title match.  Matthews asks what they’re strategy is for taking out Cena, but Otunga says he’s not going to tell him that.  They do have a plan, and Cena’s going to pick them off one by one, but the Nexus is going to stay united.  Someone knocks, and Otunga says that the interview is over.  He jerks the door open, and Otunga gets onto him for taking forever, and then says that he’s not paying for cold food.  Someone knocks on the door again, and Otunga answers, only for it to be Cena.  Harris, I believe, attacks Cena, but Otunga gets away.  Cena proceeds to rip Harris apart, and then chases after Otunga.

    @HitTheRopes Yo, Nexus gets a new shirt like every other week now. #wwe

    @kickoutblog Dear WWE Superstars: never invite a camera crew to your home or hotel room… it’s a guaranteed ass kicking.

    We get back, and David Hart Smith is in the ring! Josh Matthews says he’s been waiting for this match for quite some time, but… they just fought on Superstars!

    David Hart Smith vs Tyson Kidd

    Tyson walks down to the ring with some tall ass- OMG! This is the guy that beat Goldust in the pre-RAW match when I was in Orlando! He’s a good wrestler, guys, very strong.  Did beat Goldust… Don’t remember his name. EDIT: Apparently, it’s Jackson Andrews

    ANYWAY!

    Kidd and Smith start out, and Smith keeps a quick advantage until Kidd kicks him in the jaw, but it doesn’t last and Smith throws him back in the ring.  Kidd gets a great advantage using his speed and attacks with hard kicks before throwing him into the middle of the ring.  He puts his knee in smith’s back and pulls his arms back, but Smith fights to his feet, only for Kidd to kick him.  Smith hits a clothesline, then a flying shoulder, then a belly to belly throw across the ring.  Kidd gets to his feet, but Smith runs into an elbow.  Kidd goes up top, but Smith hits him hard.  Smith climbs up too, and hits a superplex, going for the cover.  Kidd kicks out at two, and then counters an Irish Whip into the clothesline.  Kidd counters to a roll through and pins him.

    Tyson Kidd wins via pinfall.

    Smith runs out and attacks Kidd, but the big guy slams Smith into the barrier, then throws him into the ring and joins him.  The new guy then clotheslines Smith to hell.  Kidd climbs in, looking like friggin Hornswoggle next to this guy.

    Axe Murderer Gabriel is backstage with Slater and Barrett, and says that they aren’t safe anywhere.  Gabriel says that he’s not sure how well he can defend the title, but Barrett says not to be afraid, and in the long run, everything is going to work itself off.  Otunga apparently ran all the way to the arena and says that Barrett’s plan didn’t work.  Barrett says it was Otunga’s execution of the plan.  Slater and Gabriel need to focus on defending the titles.  Barrett looks at Otunga and says that he’s going to go to the ring and call out Cena, and tells him to watch, because then he’ll learn something about taking care of business.  Otunga says that Barrett better, because if he doesn’t, he may have a mutiny on his hands.

    <COMMERCIAL>

    @KeepItFiveStar LMAO. Otunga with his Kenyan 600 like speed.

    Fatal Four Way Tag Team Elimination Match for the WWE Tag Team Championships
    Santino Marella and Vladimir Kozlov vs. Jimmy and Jey Uso with Tamina vs. Yoshi Tatsu and Mark Henry vs. The WWE Tag Team Champions Justin Gabriel and Heath Slater

    Wonder how Tamina will affect Santino’s chances… But, at least with this, we all know who will win.

    Justin and Tatsu start out, locking up with Gabriel getting an advantage.  Tatsu puts him in a headlock, no doubt causing a problem for Gabriel’s sore neck, but Tatsu ducks every move Gabriel throws at him.  Tatsu hits a spinning heel kick and goes for a cover, but Gabriel kicks out.  Gabriel fights back with a kick to the gut and tags in Slater, who is thrown to the ground.  Tatsu then puts him in a submission (arm bar? I missed it), and Mark Henry is tagged in.  Heath quickly tags in one of the Usos, who won’t get in, until Henry drags him in by his hair.  Henry then punches Jey, apparently, in the head and drops him to the ground.  Henry tags Tatsu back in and holds Jey as Tatsu plants his feet in Jey’s chest.  Jey runs Tatsu into the corner and tags in Jimmy.  Tatsu is being abused in the corner, and Jey is tagged in, and they hit their team finisher thing, and take Henry off the apron with a double baseball slide.  Heath tags himself in through whichever Uso is in, and then goes for a cover on Tatsu, who cannot kick out.

    Mark Henry and Yoshi Tatsu are eliminated.

    The Usos come back in and really give it to Slater, who kicks out of the cover.  Slater fights back, however, and the other Uso tags himself in, both of them dropping Slater.  Gabriel breaks up the cover with a kick to the head.  Uso then drops Slater to the mat, but Slater gets up, fighting back.  Vladimir tags himself in using Heath to do so and proceeds to man handle everyone, knocking Slater and Gabriel and the other Uso off the apron, and then pinning him.

    Jimmy and Jey Uso are eliminated.

    So, it’s now Santino Marella and Vladimir Kozlov vs. Justin Gabriel and Heath Slater. Tamina stays with Santino, interestingly enough, and Gabriel works on weakening Kozlov’s leg.  Gabriel goes for the cover, but Kozlov kicks out at two.  Gabriel tags in Slater, who goes to town on Kozlov.  The ref pushes him away, and Gabriel works on Kozlov.  Kozlov whips Slater away and then head butts him.  Santino comes in and suplexes Slater, who doesn’t like it much and lays Santino down.  Gabriel is tagged in, and kicks Santino right in the face.  Gabriel goes for a cover, but Santino kicks out.  Tamina is still in the corner of Santino and Kozlov.  Slater yells at the crowd to shut up, but in the ring, Santino’s fighting his way out of Gabriel’s headlock thing, and then flips Gabriel over him.  Gabriel kicks him in the head, but Santino kicks out of the following cover at two.  Nexus continues to tag in and out, keeping Santino in his corner, .  Once again, Slater distracts the ref and Gabriel takes the time to attack Santino.

    <COMMERCIAL>

    @HitTheRopes LOL, my brother is enamored by Tamina. Is contemplating how it must be to be with a woman that muscular

    @Lunna1969: I like Yoshi but seeing him with Mark Henry is making me miss @findevan (Evan Bourne) a lot! #WWE #RAW #BWF

    @KeepItFiveStar What kind of “Dogpile on the rabbit” move was that, Heath Slater?!

    @kickoutblog If the ring blew up right now, WWE would no longer have a tag team division.

    @Niki_Sushi I would rather hear Santino sing to his theme song than R Truth…. rap? his. #BWF #RAW

    We come back to Gabriel trying to keep Kozlov out of his own corner.  It doesn’t work, however, and Santino gets in to fight Gabriel.  I see @FrankWWEClown’s wing.  Santino gets Gabriel on his back with a hip toss, and then a head butt.  Santino then punches Gabriel in the stomach and when he goes for a cover, Slater comes in to break it, and Kozlov goes out of the ring to get Slater away.  Cena distracts Gabriel, who is hit with the Cobra for the win.

    Santino Marella and Vladimir Kozlov win via pinfall and are the new WWE Tag Team Champions.

    Tamina gives Santino a congratulatory kiss, and the three of them do the trumpet thing in the middle of the ring.

    Still to come, Randy Orton is going to decimate Alex Riley, but up next is King Sheamus’ Coronation Ceremony!

    <COMMERCIAL>

    @kickoutblog DID SANTINO JUST THROW A STUNNER?!

    By the way, everyone, in two weeks is WWE’s Tribute to the Troops featuring Diddy’s Dirty Money, Trace Adkins, Sherri Shepard, and whoever Miss USA was from last week.  Because I didn’t care enough to pay attention to her name…

    It’s a shameful thing, lobster head… Too many limes, too many limes…

    Sheamus comes out with a wicked looking crown.  I want it.

    <VIDEO PACKAGE: Sheamus defeats John Morrison to become the 2010 King of the Ring.>

    Sheamus says it’s good to be king.  He says when he won King of the Ring least week, he didn’t just win the tournament, he restored credibility to the crown.  He’s far superior to all of the peasants in the arena, and he’s a better fighter than anyone across the universe, he’s the man who ended Triple H’s career, the King of Kings.  He kicked him off this throne, and became the new high king.  The last high king of Ireland was a guy named Bryan something, and he fought for Ireland.  He was feared and respected all across the land, but in the end, at the battle of some place, he fell and was defeated, and that will never happen to him, because his reign will live forever.  He’s better than the best, and will not be remembered as Ronald McDonald or Conon O’Brien, but as the greatest high king in history.

    Now listen, this ain’t no make believe…

    Morrison says that if Sheamus was going to go this route, why not go all the way?  Get some goblins, elves, gnomes, a satyr, even (the half-man, half-goat thing).  Morrison says it could escort him to the ring and afterward, they could hang out.  Sheamus says that he knows why Morrison is out there, Morrison is jealous.  Morrison is jealous that Sheamus is a two-time WWE Champion, and that he’s the King of the Ring, and Morrison isn’t and never will be.  Morrison is jealous that Sheamus has achieved more in the past two years than in his whole career, and that Sheamus is simply the better man.  Morrison says that Sheamus is right: he’s achieved more and has more accolades.  He’s a former WWE Champion, the King of the Ring, and last time Morrison checked, Morrison won at Survivor Series, and Sheamus beat him last week, but the score is tied and Morrison is the better man. Sheamus laughs and says that Morrison is a funny man.  If Morrison’s sense of humor matched his in ring ability, he’d be wearing the crown, but he isn’t and he isn’t.  And, from now on, Sheamus wants Morrison to refer to him either as ‘Your Highness’ or the High King of the WWE.  But, what Sheamus wants most, is to send an example to his loyal subjects across the WWE Universe.  He wants Morrison to get down on his hands and knees and bow to his king.  Morrison says that he’s not going to do that, and that in this business there are no guarantees, but Morrison has one for him: Morrison will never bow down to King Sheamus.

    Sheamus attacks Morrison and demands he get down, and Morrison punches him and attacks.  Morrison just keeps going after Sheamus, and Morrison uses Sheamus’ own scepter and throne against Sheamus.

    Tonight, Wade Barrett is going to call out John Cena and end things once and for all.

    Diva’s Champion Natalya vs. Melina

    Lay-Cool are ringside, invited by Michael Cole.  Lawler sums up my thoughts: Why don’t you slip into something more comfortable? Like a coma?

    Natalya starts dominating Melina, lifting Melina up and holding her up, and Punk tells everyone to shut up.  Natalya goes for a cover, but Melina gets out and attacks Natalya back, slamming Natalya down onto her knees.  Melina wraps her legs around Natalya’s middle, but Natalya gets Melina’s shoulder’s down.  Natalya hits the spinning clothesline thing on Melina and gets her in a corner, attacking her, only to run into both of Melina’s feet.  Natalya drops Melina into a split, and then locks in the Sharpshooter.  Melina fights not to tap, but she finally does.

    Natalya wins via submission.

    LayCool get up and head into the ring, attacking Natalya.  Melina, however, keeps walking away.

    Still to come, Randy Orton is going to destroy Alex Riley, and Wade Barrett calls out John Cena!

    <COMMERCIAL>

    @KeepItFiveStar Nattie just clotheslined Melina’s Vocal Chords out! She will never shriek again.

    @TKeep123 hmm..Melina vs. Natalya. I’m torn here…how about just lots of close wrestling, lots of pin attempts, then kiss & make up. #WWE #RAW #BWF

    @RingsideRants Screaming before you do every move is a dead giveaway, Melina.

    @kickoutblog LayCool vs. Natalya won’t end until LayCool get the belt back. It’s not like there are any other heel Divas for Natalya to work with.

    @ThingsColeSays Is CM Punk gonna have to choke a bitch?

    Don’t forget! Next Monday, RAW starts at 8/7 Central for the Slammy Awards!

    <VIDEO PACKAGE: Cole gets RKO’d with a little assistance from Jerry “The King” Lawler.>

    Alex Riley and The Miz are backstage, and Alex Riley says that he won’t let Miz down.  Miz says that Riley is representing The Miz and everyone’s talking about how he won.  Not to mention, they’re treating it as the turning point of this company, and Riley needs to beat Randy Orton.  Riley says that the only way Orton will leave Louisville on his hands and knees.  The Miz says after that, he won’t tell Randy what match they’ll have at the pay-per-view, he’ll show him.

    I hear voices in my head…

    Randy Orton vs Alex Riley is up next.

    <VIDEO PACKAGE: Two weeks ago, The Miz cashed in the Money in the Bank briefcase after Nexus takes out Randy Orton’s knee, and I was there.>

    AWESOME!

    Randy Orton vs. Alex Riley with WWE Champion The Miz

    The Miz is standing in Riley’s corner as this match begins, and Orton gets distracted by him right away, allowing Riley to focus on the knee again.  Orton fights back, however, and throws Riley in the corner, getting forcibly moved away from the corner by the ref.  Orton’s down, and Riley goes for a cover, but Orton kicks out.  Riley stays focused on the injured knee.  Randy gets back up and hits a suplex on Riley.  Orton gets up again and hits Riley a few times, getting his momentum back.  He hits an inverted atomic drop followed by a clothesline, and then his scoop slam.  Riley rolls around the ring in pain for a minute, and manages to roll under the bottom rope, like an idiot.  Orton hits that second rope DDT that we all love and then glares at Miz before flipping around and slamming onto the mat, pounding down.  He gets up to hit it, but The Miz comes in and hits the Skull Crushing Finale.

    Randy Orton wins via disqualification.

    The Miz demands a microphone and says that he is going to show Orton what stipulation they are going to have at the pay per view.  He goes under the ring and pulls out a table.  He sets it up, scares the ref away (earning a laugh from me), and then lifts Randy up by his ears.  Randy fights back, however, and goes to throw Miz into the table, but Miz gets out of it and flees the ring, leaving his rookie in the ring.  Orton realizes this and turns his gaze to Riley.  He picks Riley up, and then Batista Bombs power bombs Riley right through the table.

    Barrett makes his way to the ring, and tells Otunga to make sure the rest of the guys are ready.

    <COMMERCIAL>

    @KeepItFiveStar That might be the first time I’ve seen Randy Orton do a powerbomb…EVER!

    @Fullmetal_Ninja: #WWE #RAW A-Ri is gonna get his A-Hole ripped.

    Another reminder of the Slammy’s.  Seriously, just scroll up.

    Barrett makes his way to the ring, hopefully with Otunga already having prepped Nexus to come out.  Barrett says that he’s about to admit to something he’s never admitted to in his life: he got it wrong.  He assumed that Cena was a man of his word, but we all know the stipulation from Survivor Series: it was free or fired, not free or turn up at RAW and attack the Nexus at will.  It was free or fired and Cena was fired.  If Cena had one ounce of integrity in his body, he’d never show his face here again.  Barrett says that Cena can attack the rest of Nexus as much as he wants, but Nexus can’t get him hired, only Barrett can.  With that being said, Barrett wants to invite Cena out to the ring now, from wherever it is he’s hiding, because there’s something he wants to get off his chest.  Barrett tells Cena not to be shy, and Cena appears in the audience, high fiving people and making his way to the ring.  Punk tells security they have a jumper, and I laugh.

    Nexus comes out when Cena gets to the ring, with an apparently much better Harris.  Barrett says that he’s allowed Cena out to the ring, but if Cena puts a foot out of line, or threatens him, Nexus will beat Cena within an inch of his life.  Cena says okay.  Barrett tells Cena that the WWE Universe can cheer as much as they want, but it doesn’t help.  He knows that Cena has problems understanding him, so he’s going to say it slowly, and Cena can read his lips: This is not going to work. Barrett will never rehire him.  Cena laughs before talking.  He tells Barrett that he’s stupid, then mocks him.  Cena says that being fired actually isn’t that bad.  Technically, he’s not a WWE Superstar, but he’s part of the WWE Universe, and he still has a lot of friends, and he can tailgate with the WWE Universe, and they’re crazy.  And best of all is that he has so much time on his hands that he can think of making the Nexus’ lives hell.  Cena says at least Heat and Justin didn’t lose to Santino and the Cobra (oh wait), and then asks how the beatdowns last week were.  And he asks how David and ‘Hasky’s’ room service was.  Cena says that he’s perfectly content with staying fired, buying a ticket to ever RAW, and making the lives of every Nexus member miserable.  So, Mr. Barrett, he doesn’t want to rehire Cena?  Cena could care less.  Cena asks fi they’re done, because he has to go party.  Barrett says that he may be out to intimidate the rest of the Nexus, but he can’t intimidate Barrett.  Barrett asks what insurances that the attacks are going to stop.  Cena sys that if he was rehired, he’d have so much room for activities, compete in matches, have his own talk show, or he could compete for the WWE Championship.  Cena says the reason he never thought of it is because he doesn’t have the WWE Championship.  If Barrett keeps him fired, and all he has to do is buy a ticket and ruin his life.  Cena says that if Barrett has the guts to hire him back, the attacks on Nexus may stop, but his attacks on Barrett will not.  He deserves payback, and payback is what he will get.  If Barrett was a man of honor and integrity, he’d rehire Cena on the spot, and they’d end it tonight.  And if Barrett doesn’t, Cena’s going to get him, but Barrett will never know when or where, but it will happen.  And it’s not just going to be once, he won’t stop.  Every single day that Barrett is in the WWE, Cena makes it his promise that his life will be a nightmare.  Barrett says that that sounded like a threat and tells Nexus to extinguish this man.

    Nexus doesn’t move.

    Barrett continues to tell them to come down to the ring, but Harris walks backstage, followed by Slater, Gabriel, and finally, Otunga, who all ignore repeated orders to return to the ring.  Cena then tackles Barrett and chases him, hurling him into the steel steps.  Cena pulls them away from the ring, and Punk tries to protect his diet soda.  Punk says flat out that he’s moving.  Cena gives Punk his soda this time, but Punk doesn’t seem to care.  Barrett is lifted onto Cena’s shoulders, and climbs the steps, but Barrett takes off running, managing to make it out of the ring and up the ramp.  The sound guys didn’t get the memo, and play Cena’s music.  Cena offers Punk one of his wristbands, but Punk throws it away.

    Barrett moves backstage and sees Nexus, and yells at all of them.  Otunga stands there and says that Barrett may not be giving them orders anymore.  Next week, Barrett either hires Cena back, or he’s kicked out of Nexus.  Barrett says they have to be kidding, but the other members of Nexus gang up on him.

    I’m sorry everyone, but the only image the website would let me post was the Blinded by Nexus one. xP I’ll try to get more of them up next week!!

    This Cena angle is so much better than the Juan Cena angle and I’m happy I did not have to see that.  So, next week, RAW starts at 8/7 Central and is the Slammy Awards!! Maybe I can talk ThinkSoJoE into helping me with our very own awards (that may come a few weeks later).  Who knows? Stay tuned!

    And I’m ending with a random thought: If Alex Riley can be called A-Ri, can I be called A-Kat?? Ahaha. Ignore that.

  7. Welcome, one and all! Particularly the one, as he turned up alone. With “Final Battle” for 2010 rapidly approaching, there is much to ponder in the world of ROH. Onward, wrestling soldiers! (more…)

  8. Rather ironically, when I was approached about penning a column on wrestling house shows – I picked up the latest copy of the UK-based grap magazine “Fighting Spirit Magazine”, only to find that they themselves had written an article dedicated to the art and history of the non-televised event. This has happened to me quite a few times in the past when writing for various websites and it’s always freaked me out. I start thinking about an idea for an article, randomly flick through some old or current wrestling mag/book and see what I thought was my idea spread out across the page! This particular instance was no different to all the other ones and actually made me laugh a little bit, kinda like Michael Cole does when John Cena acts all immature. Thankfully, the piece was an awesome read and really helped get my creative juices flowing for putting together my own diatribe.

    Still I find myself lacking the means to really write as many columns as I would like. We don’t have internet in our new flat yet and therefore I’m only managing to write this due to being home for the weekend to visit my family and spend some time chilling out. Quite honestly, I can think of no better ways to relax than watching, thinking and talking about professional wrestling. With that said, let’s take a look at the wonderful world of ‘wrestling on tour’..

    Earlier this month, my good friend Richard Flynn (who is responsible for this weeks WWE Smackdown report – check it out!) and I attended a WWE live event featuring the superstars of the Friday Night Smackdown brand in action. This is a pretty regular occurrence nowadays; for us to attend these shows. On a few occasions in the past, other friends have joined us for a night of live and in colour wrasslin’ entertainment but most of the time it’s simply Flynn and myself geeking it up. To say I love spending time with the guy and watching wrestling with him would be an understatement. The amount of hours we’ve let go past by watching WWE and TNA shows is probably mind-boggling. Not to mention the oodles of time we’ve dedicated to chatting about the aforementioned companies and also our favourite moments from the past. Seriously, we have spent a lot of time thinking about wrestling together. We seem to feed off one another’s passion and it has made for some very cool and very pleasurable afternoons and evenings, to say the least.

    Our continued excitement at attending these WWE and TNA shows is equal to that of pretty much any kid you know who likes wrestling. I’m glad I can say with all seriousness that I am just as thrilled by the thought of seeing this brand of entertainment live today as I would have been had I been fortunate enough to grab tickets for a show when I was 10 years old. Rather unfortunately, whenever the then WWF and then WWE visited these shores back then, I always found myself facing a ticket hotline with no more remaining tickets. As much as my parents tried (my mum phoned as early as she could every time and my dad even drove the 150 miles from our home in Campbeltown to Glasgow on the off chance the venue would still have some seats left), it just never seemed to happen. This is probably just aswell – 10 year old me would likely have passed out with excitement had he been privy to The Rock or Triple H up close!

    As it pertains to the day-to-day running of any wrestling organisation, there can be no arguments that non-televised or “house” show events are the least important they have been for quite some time, maybe even in the entire history of the industry. There is far more stress placed on the signification of a Pay-Per-View event or the rating for an episode of Monday Night RAW than there is for how many fans are drawn to arenas for the next WWE nationwide tour. House shows used to be the place to see your chosen wrestling promotion but has in more recent times been usurped by TV tapings and major shows such as “Wrestlemania”. This shouldn’t take away from the overall necessity of a company touring the country or indeed the world however, far from it. The revenue boosts WWE alone will feel from visiting the UK must be worth the trip. In between ticket sales (and the fact these tickets are snapped up readily due to the scant nature of shows in any given town each year), merchandise and crossover TV appearances, it’s clearly worth the promotions while to head on over the Atlantic frequently. It’s also a valuable tool for TNA, who have played before their biggest crowds when not in the United States. Big, American pro wrestling companies are simply devoured quickly in foreign markets, such is the fascination with only having one or two chances per annum to see them.

    Due to this shift in how a wrestling company, specifically WWE, views its un-televised product, it’s far more of a mixed bag when you attend one these shows. What I’m getting at here is that it’s a clear learning ground for younger members of the roster and a chance for established superstars to try out new things and further develop their characters, far away from the scathing perfection of television. It has been really rather interesting to view things at the handful of house shows Richard and I have bought tickets to which would NEVER feature on WWE TV or PPV. As mentioned before, this can bring both positives and negatives along with it. It’s engrossing to view someone such as Chavo Guerrero, a man scarcely used on the air, be allowed to partake in a 12-minute long match and fully show off his skills to the audience. On the other side of the coin, it can be disheartening to know that nothing of any great significance is likely to happen on the show in your town.

    This leads me rather nicely onto an argument which has been permeating wrestling writers and fans over and across the world; have WWE officials decreed that their wrestlers shouldn’t work quite so hard and take so many chances at a non-televised show as they would when the cameras are rolling, thus reducing the risk of injuring themselves or a peer?

    If this is the case then it could be argued as short-changing the loyal fan who is excited to see the company and expects to see something pretty close to what he sees on TV each and every week. Surely, with the prices as they are for admission to the typical WWE or TNA house show (I.e not very cheap!), it’s not being cheeky to expect a level of performance matching that of what you are used to. To be completely fair to TNA, they encourage their performers to give their all, regardless of the platform or if the event is being filmed. Having witnessed this with my own 2 eyes, it does make for a thrilling spectacle.

    Again, using the proverbial “other side”, I really don’t think the overall feel of the shows have suffered that much. Having been in attendance for a couple of RAW-brand house shows and a few Smackdown-brand ones, the match-quality has been pretty darn good. Sure, there are restholds and not nearly as many high-flying antics as we would see on TV but it’s not exactly a million miles away from your typical match on Monday Night RAW. Infact, I’d go as far to say that the promotion makes up for this with some well-placed and excellently executed (oh boy..) storyline goodness. This writer can recall just earlier this month some TV-inspired goings on with the “Nexus” stable and also some in-ring promo’s which draw you closer into the show. Therefore, I don’t think it’d be fair to say that either WWE nor TNA treat the fans with disdain in the house show market, certainly not on this side of the pond.

    With all this said, what do YOU think? Have you attended a WWE or TNA house show event in which you’ve wished you’d saved your money? Did you wish instead that you’d spend some extra cash to go to a TV taping or Pay-Per-View? Or were you like me and felt both companies did their utmost to put on a good evenings entertainment and ensure the fans would come back in droves the next time around? Your thoughts are every bit as important as mine and opinions are definitely a huge part of what makes Bored Wrestling Fan and wrestling fans in general so great! Let me know what you reckon, either by leaving me a comment below or by sending me a quickfire email to jamiekennedy@live.com ! Until the next time, TAKE IT HOME! To your house. To your house uh…show..

  9. Whoops! I totally forgot to post this. I may be writing the ROH stuff now, but that’s not an excuse. TNA’s last ppv of the year, “Final Resolution,” takes place tonight. How will 2010 end for those involved? Here’s what they’re offering. (more…)

  10. Drowgoddess did not write this, and is simply assisting in posting. Give a rousing Bored Wrestling Fan welcome to a man who refused to allow his university exams to completely interfere with his wrestling review, “Smackdown” ‘s latest opponent, Rich Flynn!!! (more…)
