ECW is getting back on track. The WWE knows what works and what doesn’t, and they’re straying away from the boring stuff that they had done for a couple of weeks post-draft.
Last night’s episode featured a live edition of The Dirt Sheet, a tag match featuring Ricky Ortiz and Evan Bourne taking on Chavo Guerrero and Bam Neely, and Armando Estrada getting his last chance to earn an ECW contract, taking on Tommy Dreamer.
The Adamle era kicked off last night, and boy what a show it was. I told you guys that I think Adamle is going to be great in his role as GM, and if last night was any indication, I’m right. So without further adieu, you can get your RAW results and analysis after the jump! (more…)
Well, we reported a couple of days ago that Ric Flair appearances in Southern Ontario were postponed. Guess we can go ahead and change that to “canceled,” as Ric Flair has parted ways with World Wrestling Entertainment.
From WWE.com:
“WWE and Hall of Famer Ric Flair have mutually agreed to contractually part ways. After an extraordinary career Ric has chosen to pursue opportunities outside of WWE.”
Reports are saying that Ric left the company on good terms, but wasn’t thrilled with his schedule as WWE ambassador.
Hooray, I finally get to watch a WWE show in HD! Damned Time Warner Cable. Anyways, same format as SmackDown usually is – quick results on the home page, full details after the jump…
I just thought I’d do everybody Western New York and Southern Ontario who reads this site a favor and let you all know that the Ric Flair autograph signings in Brampton, ON on August 11 and Niagara Falls, ON on August 12 have been postponed. Which sucks, because I was excited that I was going to get to meet ‘Naitch!
Hello, folks, and welcome to SmackDown in real-time! As has become BWF Friday Night tradition, we’ll be posting quick results up here on the main page, with detailed results after the jump!
MVP def. Jimmy Wang Yang
After the match, Jeff Hardy hit MVP with a Twist of Fate
Mr. Kennedy def. Shelton Benjamin in a non-title match.
Yours truly wound up sleeping through TNA iMPACT last night. I think I’ve DVRed it, but I haven’t had a chance to watch it yet. That said, I didn’t want you guys to go without your TNA iMPACT stuff, so I’ve borrowed the results from ProWrestling.net
I almost didn’t do a podcast this week, but Mike Adamle being the new General Manager of Monday Night RAW was just too much to resist talking about. It’s a short one, clocking in at just over 33 minutes, so enjoy!
P.S.: I wanted to point out that I’ve taken some measures to make the site easier to read, but didn’t think it was worthy of putting into it’s own post, so I’m adding it on here. The current changes were suggested by Chris Coyier at CSS-Tricks.com.
Sorry this post is extremely late today guys, I actually had most of it written last night and was expecting to have it up pretty early today, but then some douchebag didn’t show up for work, so I ended up stuck there for another two hours. In any event, last night’s show was pretty decent, compared to other post-draft episodes of ECW on Sci-Fi, but if you missed it, unless you’re really bored you can probably skip the X-stream on WWE.com.
Show results and analysis, after the jump! (more…)
We’re gonna kick off our ECW coverage early today. I said during last week’s podcast that I wanted to start doing more content here on BoredWrestlingFan than the show reviews and weekly podcasts, so I guess this is as good of a start as any. A post on the World Wrestling Insanity forums gave me the idea to create this. It seems I wasn’t alone in not liking the new ECW Championship (in all honesty, it’s grown on me in the past week), and at least one person pointed out that they think the belt would look better if the ECW on the main plate were in red. So, I photoshopped it in. Hope you like it, and click on the image for the full view.
