With Survivor Series on Sunday, this is Smackdown’s last chance to add some fuel to the fire and generate some buys. After the Old School RAW on Monday, most of the card was flushed out. Are there any loose strings? Perhaps. Also, we have some future endeavors to discuss briefly after the jump. (more…)
Gail Kim gets the win in this random divas match that nobody really cares about.
Co-Women’s Champion Michelle McCool vs Tiffany
McCool gets the win here in yet another divas match on Superstars.
Chavo Guerrero vs Christian
This match was halted mid match by Vickie, who restarted this as a handicap match.
Chavo Guerrero and Dolph Ziggler vs Christian
Dolph gets the pin after he hit the Zig Zag on Christian. Christian is doing a great job of building Ziggler, but he should be headlining PPVs by now. Come on, Vince! Give Captain Charisma a title run.
I think I have a great idea for Superstars. The show should just feature diva’s and contenders for the US and IC titles. At least then, the show would make some type of sense. Instead, we are forced to see random matches that make no sense except to give some of the talent a little bit of exposure. Anyways…Gail wins with her jaw breaker finisher.
Match 2: Zack Ryder w/Rosa Mendez vs Primo
I guess this will be the last time we see Ryder and Rosa together, as she was drafted to Smackdown in the supplemental draft on Tuesday. Ryder should be pushed into the US title race soon. Maybe with Edge on RAW, we can get some type of storyline between them. Ryder wins with the Zack Attack.
Match 3: The new Unified Tag Team Champions The Hart Dynasty vs The Dudebusters
Those title look natural with the Hart Dynasty. David Hart Smith is looking a little less pudgy these days and has gotten a lot better in the ring. For some reason, Matt Striker called Natalya “Lady Gaga”…ok??? The Hart Dynasty wins with the Hart Attack.

Match 1: The Bella Twins vs Jillian Hall and Katie Lea
Brie Bella has a tattoo and Nikki doesn’t. That’s all that matters in this match. The Bellas get the win.
Match 2: Chavo Guerrero vs Primo vs Chris Masters w/ Eve
The winner of this triple threat match gets a spot in the Royal Rumble. I like Chris Masters. I think the guy can get the job done. All he needs is a chance. This is a pretty fast paced match, as it always is with Primo. Maybe Chavo and Primo should form a tag team. That would be pretty entertaining. Masters gets the win with the Masterlock on Chavo to get his spot in the Rumble. I would love it if Masters would win the Rumble…that would be sPECKtacular! See what I did there???
Chris Jericho makes his way to the ring to cut a promo in his dapper suit. He then proceeds to call every superstar in the WWE a liar for claiming they will win the Royal Rumble because he guaruntees a victory. R-Truth interupts with a WUSSUP?! in Jericho’s face. He says he will win the Rumble and beats Jericho down.
Main Event: Matt Hardy w/ Great Khali and Ranjin Singh vs David Hart Smith w/ the Hart Dynasty
This is the perfect place for Fatt Lardy to main event. He just doesn’t do anything for me. I apologize to the people who like him, but he sucks now. David Hart Smith has grown on me, however. He still needs to tone that belly he has, but he is good. Smith wins with a Big Boot after the ref is distracted and Tyson Kidd hangs Matt’s arm on the top rope. Khali then comes in to clean house including Matt Hardy. I guess he thinks he’s gonna win the Rumble too.
That’s it for Superstars this week. Remember Smackdown is tomorrow night and the Royal Rumble is Sunday.
Hey, my Peeps! I’m back from a 2 week hiatus. I have been out of town skiing. Let’s get this thing started.
Match 1: Jillian Hall vs Kelly Kelly
Jillian comes out first and sings a Miley Cyrus song. Kelly Kelly interupts with her entrance. I don’t like diva wrestling, but Kelly Kelly has gotten better. She is still nowhere near good enough to be an in-ring performer. Why can’t WWE get women who can actually wrestle? How does TNA get women who look good, but can also wrestle? Anyways…Kelly Kelly wins with a Leg Drop to the back of Jillian’s head. Michael Cole called it the Kelly Kick. I guess we can go with that name for now. Too much time was devouted to this craptacular match.
Match 2: Shelton Benjamin vs Vance Archer
This match should not be on ECW as a top level fued for the show, so Superstars is the right venue for this one. I hate Archer’s tramp stamp too! This match is really clumsy tonight. Vance Archer is normally pretty aggressive and physical, but going into the commercial break, he really hasn’t displayed it in this match. We come back from commercial, with Archer in control. He is starting to be more dominant, but still seems slow and unsure of what to do. I’m not sure what to think of his character. The fans are really dead on the guy, but Shelton isn’t getting much pop in this match either. Josh Matthews and Byron Saxton even commented on how boring this match is by saying not to fall asleep. The clumsiness of this match is mind-boggling. It’s no wonder that Shelton Benjamin has never been pushed to the main event level. The guy can’t carry a match with a guy who is clearly low-level at this point. It wouldn’t surprise me if Archer was released during the next batch of firings. Shelton gets the win over the undefeated Vance Archer with a very anti-climactic role up pin. This match was awful.
Ask the Divas….yawn
Main Event: Chris Jericho vs Kane
Random main event match for Superstars…what else is new??? WWE has missed so many opportunities with Kane. He can be pushed to be so dominant if creative will just book him correctly. I also feel as if they have sort of ruined Chris Jericho’s persona. They have him cowarding out to everybody right now. They need to freshen him up a little bit. However, this might be the best main event we have ever had on Superstars. These two guys are Hall of Famers in my opinion. The match goes to commercial with Kane flipping over the top ropes and to the floor below. When was the last time a match didn’t go to commercial after someone went to the outside? Back from commercial and this match really picks up. It ends when Jericho cowards out of the ring and walks away for the countout.
Alrighty then…see you guys next week for another Superstars.
Wait, this isnt Wednesday. What am I doing here? I’ve already posted for the week. Well, it seems that Joe didnt like my (No Wrestlemania column during WrestleMania week column), so I am here to tell you who is winning at Wrestlemania. That’s right, no predictions. I’m telling you, who will win. Let’s begin.
Intercontinental Championship
John Bradshaw Layfield (c) vs Rey Mysterio
The head says JBL wins, and with Tazz not renewing his contract, he retires again and joins JR on commentary.
The heart agrees.
the Annual Money In The Bank Ladder Match
CM Punk vs Kane vs Mark Henry vs Finlay vs MVP vs Shelton Benjamin vs Kofi Kingston vs Christian
Everyone seems to think, that this will be the first year that the winner of the MITB, will not win the title, when they do cash in the case. However, i’m going to use some logistics. Edge won the first MITB, was a heel, and won sneakily. RVD was next, was a facee, and he won at ECW One Night Stand, after challenging John Cena. CM Punk was last year’s winner, was also face, and beat Edge, sneakily.
According to the past, two faces and one heel have won. According to the current champions, two heels and one face are champions. The Champions might change, but the MITB winner is the biggest tweener in the history. The head says Kane, the heart says Kane. Kane challenges for the World Heavyweight Championship, and loses.
A 25 woman’s Diva Battle Royal including Melina, Maryse, Mickie James, Gail Kim, Michelle McCool, Nikki Bella, Brie Bella, Alicia Fox, Kelly Kelly, Maria, Eve Torres, Katie Lea Burchill, Beth Phoenix, Layla El, Rosa Mendes, Candice Michelle, Natalya, Jillian Hall, Tiffany, Tammy “Sunny” Sytch, Victoria, Molly Holly, Jackie Gayda-Hass, Mae Young and one more unannounced to crown Miss Wrestlemania.
The head and heart agree again. Whomever the unannounced Diva is.
Extreme Rules match
Jeff Hardy vs Matt Hardy
The head says Jeff. The heart doesnt care, but reluctantly says Matt.
WWE Tag Team Championship and World Tag Team Championship
Carlito and Primo (c) vs John Morrison and the Miz (c)
Again, it looks straight-forward. The head and the heart say with the second best Tag Team in wrestling today. John Morrison and the Miz.
3-on-1 Handicap Match
Chris Jericho vs Jimmy ‘Superfly’ Snuka, Ricky ‘The Dragon’ Steamboat and ‘Rowdy’ Roddy Piper w/ ‘Nature Boy’ Ric Flair
The heart says Jericho. It does. However, the head says the Legends.
World Heavyweight Championship
for the love of Vickie Guerrero
Edge (c) vs John Cena vs Big Show
The stipulation of the love of Vickie Guerrero, makes the head choose Edge. However, the heart wants a new champion, theBig Show.
WWE Championship
Triple H (c) vs Randy Orton
The heart has three certain choices every year. Triple H is one of them, so the heart says Triple H. However, the head thinks this way. Why push Randy Orton up to be the big heel on campus, and not have him win the title? The head says Randy Orton.
Which leaves us just one match ….
Shawn Michaels vs the Undertaker
Mr. Wrestlemania versus the Streak. Undertaker is 16-0 at Wrestlemania, but never before, has he faced the man, whom always seems to steal the show, when it comes to Wrestlemania. How I said earlier, that the heart has three choices, and that Triple H was one? HBK and the Undertaker, are the other two, so the heart is undecided. The head however, doesn’t see the streak breaking, so the head chooses the Undertaker. The heart is torn between two, but thinks the streak could be broken. The heart chooses Shawn Michaels.
Let’s recap just what the heart and the head have chosen.
– Tonight’s WWE RAW kicks off with the always sexy Kelly Kelly making her way to the ring…
Kelly Kelly and Candice Michelle vs. Jillian Hall and Katie Lea
Kelly’s partner Candice Michelle is out next. The horrible music of Jillian Hall hits next as she comes out with Katie Lea for tonight’s opening match. Jerry Lawler announces that Candice Michelle will be dressed as Marilyn Monroe at Cyber Sunday. Before the match, Jillian Hall gets on the mic and sounds like crap singing as usual.
As Jillian is singing, Kelly dropkicks her and unleashes an assault. 2 count by Kelly Kelly. Candice comes in and they double team Jillian. Candice goes to work on Jillian now. Lawler announces Kelly will be dressed as a sailor at Cyber Sunday. Candice uses the ropes on a move on Jillian until Katie kicks her in the stomach. Katie gets tagged in now and goes to work on Candice for a 2 count.
Lawler announces Katie Lea will be a Vampire at Cyber Sunday at Katie works on Candice for another 2 count. Jillian comes back in and drops Candice for another 2 count. Candice throws Katie into the turnbuckle, drops Jillian and tags back in Kelly. Kelly drops Jillian with clotheslines and takes her down with a head scissors move. Kelly nails a cross body off the top for a 2 count as Katie breaks it up. Candice kicks Katie in the ring as Jillian gets a 2 count on Kelly. Kelly hits a big leg drop on Jillian for the pinfall and the win.
Winners: Kelly Kelly and Candice Michelle
– Back from commercial and Chris Jericho comes to the ring. He gets a ton of heat from the fans. Jericho gets out of the ring, goes to the floor and makes Lilian announce him as the World Heavyweight Champion. Jericho goes back in the ring and says that’s what he’s talking about and calls out Lilian. The crowd tells Jericho he sucks. Jericho says everyone is disrespecting him, not just Lilian. The fans, the Superstars, everyone.
Jericho says the fans shouldn’t be able to pick his special referee at Cyber Sunday and talks about Michaels, Austin and Orton again. The crowd pops big for Austin’s name. Jericho talks about who he has beaten lately. Jericho says when he wins at Cyber Sunday, everyone will have to admit he is the best. Out comes Batista.
Batista makes his way to the ring to a nice pop from the fans. Jericho looks pissed. Batista asks Jericho if he’s seriously out here demanding respect and says that’s ridiculous, as is his hair. Batista says you earn respect, not demand it. Batista says if Jericho beats him at Cyber Sunday he will earn a lot of people’s respect but until then, will he please stop crying and shut his mouth? The crowd pops. Batista says he will shut it for him. The RAW music hits and out comes Mike Adamle.
Adamle tells them to save it for Cyber Sunday. Adamle says for the first time ever tonight, they will face the same three opponents in a Gauntlet Match. He says Gauntlet Match again. Wow, that’s Mike Adamle for ya. He forgot his lines or something. Adamle says tonight is another Adamle Original. Batista and Jericho come face to face in the ring and Jericho slaps The Animal. Jericho rolls out of the ring with his belt and taunts Batista as he heads to the back.
– Still to come tonight, CM Punk and Kofi Kingston vs. John Morrison and The Miz. We go back to commercial.
JBL vs. Stone Cold Steve Haastin
Back from commercial and JBL’s white limousine pulls into the arena. JBL steps out and heads for the ring. JBL gets on the mic before the match and says it’s ridiculous to have him compete against a has-been impersonator. JBL goes on to insult the people and talk about how he is rich and they are poor. The glass breaks and out comes Stone Cold… it’s Charlie Haas! Haas, acting and looking like Austin, enters the ring and does the Stone Cold mannerisms. Lilian announces him as Stone Cold Steve Haastin. Haas gets on the mic as the crowd chants Austin. He just says the clock is ticking. JBL says you have to be kidding me and Haas says “What?” Everytime JBL says something, that’s what he gets.
Haas acts more like Austin and the bell rings. Haas attacks JBL, Stone Cold style and mounts a nice offense. JBL fights back. Haas goes for a Stunner but JBL drops him with a big boot. JBL nails the Clothesline from Hell and lays Haas out for the pinfall and the win.
Winner: JBL
Rey Mysterio vs. Snitsky
Back from commercial and Rey makes his way out. Snitsky is out next. A video plays on the side of Snitsky talking about pain. The bell rings and Snitsky goes to work on Rey, beating him down.
Snitsky misses a big running boot in the corner and gets tangled up. Rey bounces off the top and nails Snitsky then hits him with a low dropkick. Snitsky is down. Rey climbs to the top and stomps down on Snitsky’s stomach. Rey drops Snitsky on the ropes and nails the 619. Rey comes off the top with another splash and gets the pinfall for the win in a quick match.
Winner: Rey Mysterio
John Morrison and The Miz vs. CM Punk and Kofi Kingston
Out for the next match first is John Morrison and The Miz, representing ECW. Morrison gets on the mic and shushes the crowd. Miz encourages the fans to text their vote to pick them to wrestle at Cyber Sunday. They compare themselves to other tag teams and rip DX. They call them Geriatric X and say “Are you 50?” Wow, Triple H is crapping himself right now. Out next is CM Punk followed by his tag partner Kofi Kingston.
Punk and Morrison lock up first, going right to the mat. Kofi comes in after a minute as does Miz. Kofi and Punk double team Miz for a 2 count. Kofi takes Miz to the mat. Back on their feet and Kofi lands a huge dropkick, sending Miz to the outside.Punk back in now for a 2 count on Miz after some kicks.

Beth and Santino go on until Hacksaw Duggan comes out.
