  1. WWE RAW 1/6/13 – OLD SCHOOL!

So, you guys know the deal – I usually watch 30 minutes of RAW, leave for work, and review the rest of this show in real time as I watch it.  Well, due to inclement weather here in Buffalo, I find myself sitting at home right now, having watched all but 30 minutes of RAW.  I went out to catch my bus to work, but although the local bus company insists that their buses were all running on time today, mine never showed up.  At the time I left, it was 11 degrees Fahrenheit with a wind chill of -20.  As I type this, it’s 1 with a wind chill of -32.  So, if you can’t tell, IT’S FUCKING COLD OUTSIDE!  So, I called my boss, told him I couldn’t make it in, then came home and watched the rest of Old School RAW.  Afterward, I did some DDP Yoga, so I’m here now to actually review the whole show.  Let’s go!

I watch 30 minutes of RAW, freeze my ass off waiting for a bus that never shows up, and then come home and watch the rest of RAW.  That’s how this particular RAW review works.   It’s only getting colder!

  2. SmackDown 1/3/14: Revenge of the Sith

So.  G’s clone decided he wanted to take over my RAW review on Monday, huh?  Well then, two can play at that game.  G’s locked up in his own apartment basement (Team Alpha rescued JT, and caught G while he was trying to stop us), and I’m here to tell you all about… SmackDown?  This show is still on the air?  Oh well.  Fuck it.  It’s hopping time!

I watch, write, suffer, and succumb to this show, yet I have to put my first animated GIF below the fold so the dudes at Wonderpod don’t yell at me.  This is not your typical SmackDown review.  I have no intent of taking this show seriously, since it was taped almost a week ago, a day before RAW even aired – and RAW was live, so I don’t expect a lot of storyline advancement out of this show.  So fuck it, let’s go!  And fuck you, RAW review!

  3. WWE RAW 12/10/13 – The Slammy Awards

While I believe Mark did an excellent job filling in for me last week, an event the caliber of the Slammys needs something special.  And as such, I’ve gone out and gotten a Slammy Award winner to write the RAW review this week – me!  Yes, it is I, the Slammy Award Winning ThinkSoJoE taking the helm once again as RAW presents the 2013 Slammy Awards!  Earlier today, yours truly won one of the WWE.com Slammys.  Don’t believe me?  Look!

I was there! Slammy Award Winner, baby!

I was there! Slammy Award Winner, baby!

    Anyways, I digress.  Let’s roll!

I watch 30 minutes of RAW, then leave for work, then review the rest of RAW in real-time as I watch it.  Except for when I fast-forward.  Then it’s not really “real-time,” I guess.  In any event, this review is being written by a Slammy Award Winner.  The SmackDown review can’t say that.  The RAW review can.  So that makes the RAW review better!  Of course, since it’s a popularity contest, I’ll probably lose the BWF Award.  I give them a place to talk wrestling and they like that G guy better than me.  Bastards.

  4. WWE RAW 9/16/13: YES! YES! YES!

Daniel Bryan is WWE Champion.  I had to check WWE.com again this morning to make sure that actually happened.  It wasn’t a figment of my imagination – for once, a WWE PPV ending didn’t piss off me or my houseguests.  All is right with the world… or is it?

I watch RAW very late at night and write a recap.  What more do you want?  Read on.

I am so not up for this right now.  I’m tired, and I don’t feel much like writing.  So, this is what you get.

You know the drill by now.  I talk about this show, I show you pictures of Kodos, you go and read the SmackDown review.

  6. WWE RAW 7/15/13 – The Maddox Era begins

Fuck.  FUCK.  FUCK.  I have to watch RAW after that PPV last night?  I regretted not ordering Payback last month, and now I really regret it, because it was a far superior show to last night’s Money In The Bank event.  I’m happy with the World Championship MITB match.  I’m happy with the Divas title match, I’m happy with the Tag Title match, but the rest of last night’s PPV (other than Paul Heyman being the person who did the most damage in the “All-Stars” match last night) can go fuck itself.  Oh well, let’s get this over with.

I watch 30 minutes of RAW, leave for work, then recap the first 30 when I get here (if possible) and then review the rest.  There’s usually some craziness involved with this, some things I write don’t actually happen, and Kodos always shows up.  Also, I play by my own rules.  Screw you, SmackDown review!

  7. Smackdown 06/28/13

Hello folks, it is I, ThinkSoJoE, covering SmackDown for G, who was unavailable to cover the show this evening.  He was, however, kind enough to supply me with a bunch of animated GIFs and witty captions.  So, here we go, as G would say, it’s hopping time!

I watch this show as it airs every other week and live tweet it.  This was not one of those weeks.  So now I’m watching on DVR and typing about what happens in a semi-factual way.

  8. WWE RAW 6/24/13: RAW is RERUN

Last week ended on a positive note.  I had hope that things were looking up for WWE.  Then I watched the first 30 minutes of this show.  Now I’m dreading watching the rest of it.  My night has been pretty good so far though, what with the Chicago Blackhawks winning the Stanley Cup over my most hated NHL team, the Boston Bruins and all.  Oh well, fuck it.  Let’s go.

I watch 30 minutes of RAW, leave for work, then instead of tormenting myself by watching the first 30 over again, I write down the gist of it and then watch the rest of the show.  Also, I play by my own rules.  Screw you, SmackDown review!

I have hope.  I have hope that after last night, the WWE is ready to turn the corner and start producing compelling television.  CM Punk is back.  Rob Van Dam is coming back.  They pulled off the elusive double turn with Alberto Del Rio and Dolph Ziggler, which I fully expect them to solidify on tonight’s show.  Plus another surprise pops up in the first 30 minutes of this episode, which I’m sure will be exciting for some people.  Let’s roll!

I watch 30 minutes of RAW, leave for work, avoid spoilers like (and from) the plague, and then watch the entire show when I get here.  That’s how ThinkSoJoE’s RAW reviews work.  Also, I play by my own rules.  Screw you, SmackDown review!

To think, this is where it all started, just over five years ago, as I demanded to know where my cut of Vince McMahon’s money was.  Yes, the first real article was about an episode of RAW where you could “Win Vince McMahon’s Money.”  Remember that?  Seemed like longer ago that all that happened, but it seems like yesterday that I launched this site.  Here I am five years later, and we’re talking about RAW and Vince McMahon again.  Let’s go!
