Tonight, John Cena takes on HBK, and William Regal defends the Intercontinental Championship against CM Punk, with a catch: if Regal loses by DQ, he also loses his title!

We’re ready for the last professional wrestling television broadcast of 2008 – ECW on SciFi for December 30th! The only thing I know that’s going on tonight is a match between ECW Champion Matt Hardy, and the former champion Mark Henry. Will Matt Hardy make it to his tag team match this Friday on SmackDown? We’ll find out, tonight!

Tonight, we’ve got a fatal four way elimination match to determine the number one contender to John Cena’s World Heavyweight Championship. I’ve also heard we’ve got a Diva’s battle royal. Guess what, kids, we’re going real-time tonight! Don’t forget to refresh every few minutes for the latest updates!

Alright, confession time. I completely forgot to set my DVR for ECW tonight. Not that it really matters, I’m not going to be home tonight to review it on DVR anyway. So, I did a little improvising, and have ECW streaming live on my laptop and I’m doing this review on the work computers in real-time – but not posting it in real-time. I tuned in a few minutes late, but I think I saw enough to accurately give you an idea of what’s going on.

WWE Superstars aren’t strangers to endorsement deals, dating way back to Hulk Hogan doing Honey Nut Cheerios commercials, and probably even before that. Randy Savage snapped into Slim Jims, Mick Foley and Booker T shilled for Chef Boyardee, Triple H and The Big Show hammed it up for Stacker 2, and just recently, no less than Mr. McMahon himself, along with John Cena, did a spot for Gillette Fusion razors. What if more Superstars started getting into the act?
A couple of potentially lucrative deals for Edge and CM Punk are visualized by the BoredWrestlingFan Advertising Agency, after the jump! (more…)
Alright, long time readers know that we don’t usually do show previews here on the site. In fact, I’m not even sure if “preview” is the right word for this particular article. Last week in the RAW on DVR review, I looked at the six nominees for WWE Superstar of the year. This morning I’d like to take a deeper lookat the Slammys, since the nominees have all been revealed. Ugh. Another Monday, another RAW. These have been the bane of my existence since Drowgoddess started doing the iMPACT reviews here on BoredWrestlingFan.com. The show has just been extremely stale lately. They need a debut, a huge return, or something. I know what you’re thinking; “But JoE, John Cena just returned 8 days ago!” That doesn’t count. Cena was only gone three months and had a month worth of promos shoved down our gullets three times a week. He comes back, and he’s the World Heavyweight Champion. That’s another story, however, and we’ll talk about that later. We’ve got a show to watch on DVR and review!

Hey, just wanted to chime in and give some thoughts and the world as I see it. (more…)
Well folks, as announced yesterday, from now on you’ll be getting DVR reviews of all the WWE shows from yours truly, as my shift at work has changed to 3-11. We’re kicking things off with the post Survivor Series RAW, where John Cena is our new World Heavyweight Champion!
