RAW results 8/31/09
1 CommentWell, I guess it’s me reviewing the show this week, since Legend Killer refuses to watch any WWE programming. Ah well. Dusty Rhodes is hosting, Jericho is facing MVP, and The Big Show battles Mark Henry. Let’s go!

Admittedly, I’m not really looking forward to a commercial free RAW, but at least it’s being presented by my hero, Donald Trump, the “new owner” of RAW. Triple H will challenge Randy Orton in a Last Man Standing match for the WWE Championship tonight as well, and it’s starting as I type this, so let’s go!
I know, I know. I’v e been changing the format of the RAW review on a near weekly basis. I wasn’t intending to this time, but I wound up oversleeping and waking up just 5 minutes before the show started, leaving me with no time to set up a review. The important thing is, I watched RAW, and I’m going to tell you about it. Ready? Let’s go!
How entertaining was RAW at the Staples Center following the Denver Debacle? So entertaining, in fact, that my DVR – fell asleep. So here I am, all set to make my return to show reviews at BWF, but I didn’t get to see the last 30 minutes of RAW. So with that, I invite you to go visit our friends at World Wrestling Insanity for your RAW fix this week.
I’d hate to have to do this, especially since I skipped out on ECW and SmackDown last week (and, in fact, have not seen either of them), but something came up when I was getting set to review RAW that led to me having to leave and miss most of the show. Sure, it’s on my DVR, but still, this is a special night of RAW, and it can’t be cast aside to be watched tomorrow and reviewed then. Indeed, folks, tonight was Draft night. I was going to post predictions earlier in the day but decided against it. The only person I really felt was definitely moving was Triple H, and “my predictions: Triple H to RAW” is not exactly a compelling article. I also was going to predict that something absolutely insane would happen to Vince McMahon, since that’s been the case at the draft shows for the last two years.

Apparently, I wasn’t meant to watch RAW last night. I fell asleep during the Cryme Tyme & Melina vs. Santino, Dolph Ziggler, and Beth Phoenix match, and woke up just in time to leave for work. My girlfriend tried to watch it earlier, but it looked like the DVR didn’t bother to catch the whole show either. So, despite the fact I didn’t want to do this kind of thing anymore, here’s a link to Rajah.com’s RAW results page.
Tonight on RAW, Ric Flair confronts Chris Jericho, and we’ve got six man tag team action with John Cena, Rey Mysterio, and Kofi Kingston taking on Kane, Mike Knox, and Jericho.

No, it’s not an official title for the RAW reviews. It’s just what I’m doing this week. And not much of it. I’m tired and I didn’t really care about much that went on with RAW, but as I just said during the Rumble review, I don’t want to give you guys a stupid “here are the results from” wherever post.

Oh what a joyous day! Today is Martin Luther King, Jr. day, and it’s only fitting that tomorrow morning is the inauguration of the first black president in United States history, Barack Obama. I’m counting down the hours until Dubya is gone, but for our purposes today, that’s pretty irrelevant.
Today is also joyous for another reason – Mr. McMahon returns to Monday Night RAW! It’s fitting, perhaps, that the last time Mr. McMahon was on WWE television was also the last time I had to write a review of RAW the way I’m doing tonight – I’ll be writing most of it here at home, then finishing it once I get to work. For you early adopters of the BoredWrestlingFan brand of Sports Entertainment coverage, no, the power was never turned back on at my job – in fact, the place is now out of business. I started a new job doing exactly what I was doing before – sadly for less money.
Anyways, you’re not here to read about my life (I’ve got ThinkSoJoE’s Thoughts for that!), you’re here to read about Monday Night RAW! Fear not, loyal readers, the results are after the jump! (more…)
Sorry for the lack of updates on my part, folks, I’ve just been super burnt out the last few days for some reason. It’s probably got to do with my current employment situation (which is that my work may potentially be closing – don’t worry about me though, I have a plan), or maybe it’s got to do with the impending launch of a new site through my company, Fropac Entertainment – but more onthat when I get to it. All of that is irrelevant, though, as we’ve got a NEW WWE CHAMPION in Jeff Hardy!
