    W for …

Welcome lads, lasses and haemaphs. It’s me once again, on yet another Wednesday, fresh off Real-Time for WrestleMania XXV. For those who didnt catch it, then read the thread, situated just a couple of posts down. For those that did, then let’s continue.

If you remember, my head and my heart gave their predictions for WMXXV. Well the results are in! My head picked a grand total of … 2! Undertaker, and the 25th Diva, Santina Marella. My heart on the other hand, didnt get all 9, but still beat my head. My heart picked 4. Triple H, Chris Jericho, Santina Marella and Matt Hardy. These results leave one question. Is it better to pick with your head, or your heart? When it came to WMXXV? Your heart was the one you should’ve went for.

Onto non-Wrestlemania news. Batista is back.

Onto news that people will care about, Tank Johnson has signed a 1-year deal with the Bengals. The same Tank Johnson who, well I’ll let his Wikipedia page tell you. The link is the following: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tank_Johnson.

With Lockdown less than two weeks away, the only match I care about, is of course the Tag Title match between Team 3D and the one and only, Beer Money Inc. The rest of the card can go to hell. Anything that involves Kurt Angle, I’m trying to ignore him, in an attempt he goes away. It hasnt worked so far, but these things don’t happen overnight.

Finally, in conjuction with vincerussowatcheshisbeardgrow.com, I am starting a competition. It’s based on this commercial for Roses chocolates Commercial. In it, it says that by thanking someone, you give them a box of Roses chocolates. For example, Thank you very much for watering my garden, and you give them chocolates. What this competititon is, well, it’s simple. What’s the most inapproapriate thing you can think of, yet be thanked with Roses chocolates?

Thank you very much for … then you add the rest.

For those who dont understand, I’ll give you a few examples. Thank you very much for … killing my family. Thank you very much for … making me sit through a Kurt Angle match. Now, those examples cant be used, but surely you can come up with better ones than that. The competiton ends soon, so get a-creating.

Thats all for this Wednesday, I have been the one they call ‘Legend Killer’, asking you,  Would you like some knives?

    or

    Maybe you’d like these knives?

  2. WWE RAW Review – 4/6/09

Before I get started, I want to thank the entire BoredWrestlingFan staff for all of their contributions to WrestleMania week.  Overall we finished with 331 page views on the week, which is more than we had in some of our early months here.  Great job, guys!  Tonight on RAW, we’ll see a 10 Diva tag team match with five of RAW’s Divas vs. five of SmackDown’s Divas.  We’ll see Miz and Morrison get their chance at redemption as they get a rematch with Carlito and Primo for the unified tag team championships, and according to Joey Styles himself, tonight’s RAW Main Event is an “All-Star WrestleMania Tag”:  Cena, Hardy, Punk, Dragon and Mysterio vs. Edge, Show, Hardy, Jericho and Kane (source:  twitter.com/WWEJoeyStyles).  There’s also been a rumor that Randy Orton might be getting another chance at the WWE Championship as well, but again, it’s only a rumor.

Will anybody bother to step up and try to top HBK/Undertaker as a potential Match of the Year?  We’ll find out tonight!  Results after the jump! (more…)

  3. Thoughts on Wrestlemania

    It’s over now.

Legend Killer did an utterly bang-up job of real-time results, and by now you all know how the show played out, so there’s little point in rehashing it here. However, as one of the 72,744 attendees, several thoughts seemed worth sharing.

Triple H nails Randy Orton with the Sledgehammer. HHH then throws the Sledgehammer out of the ring, then starts attacking Orton with right hands. HHH then picks Randy Orton up and hits the Pedigree! Trips goes for the cover and gets the three.

YOUR WINNER AND STILL WWE CHAMPION: TRIPLE H

Triple H celebrates in the ring, the fireworks go off, and the recap of Wrestlemania 25 begins.

As the Wrestlemania recap video plays, I will say thank you to all those involved at BoredWrestlingFan.com, to not only give me the chance to post a weekly column (which btw, can be seen, each and every Wednesday),  but to allow me the chance to present, to you, Wrestlemania 25 LIVE! This has been Wrestlemania 25, LIVE in real-time. I have been the one they call “Legend Killer’, stay tuned for various WrestleMania review shows throughout the week, and for my next column on Wednesday.

  5. Wrestlemania Weekend: ROH “Supercard of Honor IV”

This is the first chance I’ve had at a computer since Thursday. There were no “Impact” Impressions this week, and my apologies for that, but frankly, I was so angry at this past week’s show that, if I had to miss one, that was the one to miss.

I live just outside of Houston, Texas, and have been partaking of the glorious wrestling goodness of the weekend. Friday night, I attended Ring of Honor’s “Supercard of Honor IV.” A series of words appearing on a screen cannot and will not do justice to the magnificence that was this show. Awesome, in the original sense of inspiring reverence to the point of fear, is the only word that even vaguely approaches what this show was like. The second, the very second, that this dvd comes out, BUY IT!!!!! Everyone must see this show, by any means necessary. If you do not own this dvd the instant that it is made available to the public, or manage to see whatever clips of it show up on a Video Wire, you are not a wrestling fan, you have no soul whatsoever, and are unworthy to draw breath on my planet. This is less of a review and more of a brief impression commentary. When you check out the show for yourselves, you’ll see why it’s pointless to try to capture it in words.

The show was held at the George R. Brown Convention Center, which is a huge convention hall. Up on the third floor, one felt as if one had accidentally wandered into some industrial action movie. The set-up was great, and the general admission area was done stadium-style, so there really wasn’t a bad seat in the place. I heard estimates of between 1800 and 2000, but I’ll have to get back to you on that. Very much an international audience. I personally talked to people from Spain, Germany, Ireland, Scotland, and Canada. Some people had actually come to see Ring of Honor, and weren’t going to Wrestlemania.

    Pre-Show matches:

Dirty Ernie Osiris and Ninja Brown vs. Alex “Sugarfoot” Payne and Andy Ridge: Ernie panhandled the crowd on his way in. Chants of “Mini Necro” weren’t undeserved. He kind of looks like him. Sugarfoot is so over everywhere! I like the guy, but I don’t see why he’s THAT popular. Interesting. A fun opening match, with Ninja Brown getting pinned by Sugarfoot for the win. Andy Ridge is pretty good too. I suppose Ninja Brown has since been forced to commit seppukku.

Don Juan and Andy Duncan vs. Grizzly Redwood and Bushwhacker Luke: Grizzly’s partner was a total surprise. They actually meshed pretty well, and it was fun. Lots of people were yelling at Andy Duncan with comments like, “Shannon Moore, you’ve really let yourself go!” He did rather resemble a porky Shannon Moore, so it was fair. Grizzly and Luke get the win.

    Main Show Matches:

Rhett Titus vs. Erick Stevens: Rhett Titus has the greatest ring entrance ever. He bumps and grinds all the way to the ring, picks out a chick at ringside, puts a plastic card hotel room key in his mouth, makes her take it from him with her mouth, and makes her kiss him on the cheek. It’s truly grand, and I don’t see how anyone doesn’t love to watch this guy perform. Erick Stevens was really over. Stevens gets the win with a nasty-looking lariat.

Kevin Steen, Jay Briscoe, & Magno vs. Chris Hero, Eddie Edwards, & Incognito (6-man Tag Team Match): This match hadn’t been going on for very long when the top rope came down. A piece of metal hardware attaching the rope to the top turnbuckle snapped. It sounded like a gunshot. In a beautiful illustration of why you have can’t script every move and word and thought of every wrestler, all six guys kept going and improvised and acted like they didn’t even notice. Some moves came off the second rope instead of the top, the two luchadores actually climbed on top of the ring posts and jumped off, and the match in general wasn’t affected at all. Imagine if such a thing had happened at Wrestlemania. Yeah. The action was tremendous, and both teams worked together extremely well. Chris Hero hits a running elbow strike on Magno to get the win for his team.

Side note: After the match ended, several crew guys and Grizzly Redwood came running out and made repairs. We had brought a cake to the show. While buying streamers, my real brother asks my brother from another mother, “Should we get a birthday cake too?” My brother from another mother replies, “I can’t think of a reason why not.” So we brought this big sheet cake that said “Happy Birthday” on top. While the ring was being repaired, we thought we’d give the audience something else to do besides listen to the stupid smarky people who were chanting at the ring crew, and the cake was passed around like a joint through the audience. Even the ref came over and acted like he was going to take it away, then took some frosting and walked off. There were chants of “Next World Cake! Next World Cake!” from one side. Even chants of “Let’s go Cake Guy!” started up. A completely random and nonsensical moment, but more fun than a barrel of monkeys.

Roderick Strong vs. Katsuhiko Nakajima: I know that as a wrestling fan, I am contractually obligated to worship Ric Flair as the master of the chop, but that title has now officially been relinquished to Roderick Strong. Jeebus! Roddy gets the win in a great match.

Bobby Dempsey came out to fight in a “Sweet and Sour Challenge Match.” His opponent? Kamala, the Ugandan Giant! With Kim Chee! The match never actually happens, though. Bobby tears off his shirt to show the same paintings on his chest and belly that Kamala has, and the two slap their bellies together. Shane Hagadorn has a problem with this, and hits Kim Chee, and Kamala and Dempsey team up to take out Hagadorn, then leave together with Kim Chee. Fun!

El Generico vs. Claudio Castagnoli vs. Brent Albright vs. Blue Demon Jr. (Four Corner Survival Match): Claudio’s new music, robe, and entrance are grand! Albright didn’t wait for his entrance, he rushed the ring and attacked Claudio. Solid action all around, and some fun bits between Generico and Blue Demon. Claudio gets the win by rolling up Brent Albright, then bails before Albright can attack him.

Bryan Danielson vs. Alex Koslov: Danielson was smiling and laughing and just having a good time the who night. Koslov made a very strong showing, though no one thought he was going to win. Seeing him in ROH would be great. Danielson gets the win when Koslov taps to the Cattle Mutilation.

    Intermission.

Colt Cabana vs. D-Lo Brown: If anyone reading this review knows where I can get a copy of Colt Cabana’s new entrance music (Boom Boom Colt Cabana), please let me know at once. I must have that song. Needless to say, Colt was tremendously over. D-Lo gets the win by using a foreign object to hit Cabana. Good match.

KENTA vs. Davey Richards (GHC Jr. Heavyweight Title Match): Sweet. Mother. Of. God. This was the match of the night. KENTA was over like mad, and Davey Richards was absolutely on fire. Chants of “This is wrestling!” and “Fuck Wrestlemania!” were heard throughout. Super stiff kicks and strikes from both guys. KENTA finally gets the pin after a GTS and retains his title. Davey Richards grabbed the mic and said, “THAT is what Ring of Honor is all about!” and threw the mic down and left. If this match doesn’t blow your mind when you see it, you didn’t have one to begin with. If this had been the only match, it would have been worth the ticket price.

Tyler Black & the Necro Butcher vs. Jimmy Jacobs & Austin Aries (Grudge Tag Team Match): Sleazy porn star mustache chickenshit heel Austin Aries is great. I still want to cheer him, but I won’t. He actually covers his ears when people chant his name. Very solid match, with Aries hitting Black with a brainbuster for the win. Aries and Jacobs fought among themselves quite a bit.

Nigel McGuinness vs. Jerry Lynn (ROH World Title Match): People can claim that they knew that Nigel was dropping the belt to Jerry Lynn tonight due to injury all that they like. It isn’t always about the result, it’s about how you get there. This match was outstanding in the story that it told and the level of raw emotion involved. The false finishes in this match must be seen to be believed. Nigel basically fought without using his arms much at all, and he almost got the pin several times. Lynn used the Cradle Piledriver more than once to finally get the win. When the bell rang, several big, muscular guys sitting behind me jumped up and down and hugged each other, shouting and hurrahing. Huge chants of “Thank you, Nigel” started up almost immediately. Jerry Lynn is the new (and 11th) Ring of Honor World Champion.

I’ll try to get a write-up of the Saturday night ROH show, the “Take No Prisoners” ppv, before I head out to Wrestlemania itself.

    Peace out,
    Drowgoddess

  6. Yet more WrestleMania 25 Predictions!

I’m on the official BWF WrestleMania week schedule for today, so here I am with my final WrestleMania week article (save for the SmackDown review that should be coming later today.) For the record, I didn’t hate the fact that LK didn’t talk about WrestleMania during his column this week, though I appreciate the fact that he posted his thoughts yesterday. Anyways, moving on:

WWE Unified WWE Tag Team Championship:  The Miz & John Morrison vs. Primo & Carlito

For the record, GreenTeabagger also has his predictions for the show in the latest edition of Anger Management at fellow BWF Network site VinceRussoWatchesHisBeardGrow.com.  In any event, while the Colóns are talented wrestlers in their own right, The Miz and John Morrison are a proven commoddity with both sets of WWE Tag Team Championships – not to mention that despite being the heels, the fans care about them and actually like them more than they do SmackDown’s Primo and Carlito.  Miz and Morrison take this.

    25 Diva Clusterf*#k Battle Royal

We know most of the Divas in the match, but if one of the ones we don’t know is one who has walked out of WrestleMania with the Women’s Championship the most in the past, Trish Stratus is the only one deserving of the title “Miss WrestleMania.”  If she’s not in it, the win will somehow go to Mae Young, even if she’s not actually involved during the bulk of the match.

Money in the Bank Ladder Match

I’ve seen Kane’s name come up numerous times over the course of the week as the guy most people are picking to win MiTB.  They’re also expecting him to cash in and lose to John Cena.  Personally, the only one I can see picking up the win here is MVP.  MVP stuck it out through that stupid losing streak gimmick, which was allegedly a test to see if he’s in this for the long haul.  The story goes that the WWE didn’t want another Rock or Bobby Lashley on their hands, so they used the losing streak to see if MVP believed in the company enough to stick it out through jobbing left and right.  He did, and now he’s on a hot streak and in the Money In The Bank ladder match.  WWE sees MVP as somebody with star potential.  Others have predicted that since he’s going into the match as United States Champion, he’s not likely to win.  I got news for you guys.  Rob Van Dam won the Intercontinental Championship (against Shelton Benjamin, no less) after winning the MiTB match at WrestleMania 22, before going on to win the WWE Championship soon after that at June’s ECW One Night Stand.  MVP is my pick, but don’t expect him to cash it in tomorrow night.

Intercontinental Championship:  JBL vs. Rey Mysterio

As much as I hated to hear that Tazz has parted ways with World Wrestling Entertainment, the rumors about this being JBL’s last match were given one more ounce of truth with the news.  I enjoyed JBL as a commentator on SmackDown before his return to the ring early last year, and I’m looking forward to hearing him again each and every Friday night.  That said, even though I’m sure the plan in JBL’s mind is to retire as Intercontinental Champion, I’m going to pick Rey Rey to pick up the title here.  It just makes sense to me.  BALLGAME!

    Chris Jericho vs. WWE Legends

It’s sad that Jericho is being wasted away here.  He’s one of the best heels in the business, and the fact that he had to literally fight off angry fans at a live event in Victoria, British Columbia earlier this year just proves that.  So he’s stuck facing three WWE Legends who are representing Mickey Rourke and, essentially, Ric Flair.  Afa the Wild Samoan is in town for ‘Mania, so I expect him to get involved in some way, shape, or form.  Picking the Legends in this one.

    Jeff Hardy vs. Matt Hardy

On any given night, Shawn Michaels can steal the show.  Especially if that night is WrestleMania.  That said, he’s going to have some competition this year, especially if you’re a fan of hardcore (or as the WWE calls it now, Extreme Rules) matches.  The buildup to this match has been really good, and the fact that the last time WWE had a brother vs. real-life brother match at WrestleMania, it gave Shawn Michaels’ show stealing performance a run for it’s money at WrestleMania X should give you an idea of what we’re in store for here.  There’s no way, with everything Matt’s put Jeff through over the past six months, that Jeff lets his brother get the best of him.  Jeff Hardy to win it here.

World Heavyweight Championship:  Edge vs. The Big Show vs. John Cena

I’d like to take a moment to thank everybody that didn’t go to see 12 Rounds, particularly those who filled out the WWE produced survey about why you didn’t with the answer “I have no interest in seeing a movie with John Cena in it.”  They’re maybe, finally, about to realize how stale Cena’s truly become.  Which, of course, would mean that Edge is going to retain the World Heavyweight Championship, since there’s no way in hell they give Show a run with the title at this point.  Edge is my pick.

    Shawn Michaels vs. The Undertaker

Attention all WWE, TNA, and up and coming wrestling bookers.  Watch the last month of WWE programming, and skip everything that doesn’t involve Shawn Michaels or The Undertaker.  That is how you book a match that people want to see.  HBK’s gotten the better of The Undertaker on every occasion so far, which leads me to believe that the deadman is going to increase his streak to 17-0.

WWE Championship:  Triple H vs. Randy Orton

Not to steal Legend Killer’s “head vs. heart” way of doing things, but despite the fact that my head is telling me that there is no way Orton is walking out of WrestleMania as the WWE Champion for the second straight year, my gut feeling is that there’s no way he loses.  He’s on such an incredible roll, he’s got such momentum going into this match, and it just feels like he’s got this one in the bag.  My mind is better at predicting things than my gut though, so I have to, reluctantly, choose Triple H to win.

Well, folks, hope you’ve enjoyed WrestleMania week here at Bored Wrestling Fan.  Drowgoddess is out and about in Houston taking in the festivities, and hopefully should be around later this weekend to give us her insights on things.

  7. More Mania Thoughts and Predictions

It just wouldn’t be Wrestlemania Week without every keyboard-bashing monkey who knows the difference between a wrist lock and a wristwatch weighing in on match predictions and offering generally self-important commentary on the biggest wrestling – er – sports entertainment show of the year. Know what I have to say to that? My turn!

WWE Champion Triple H vs. Randy Orton

Trips wins. As if there’s any doubt. This was a storyline that really could have gone places. It did, but all the wrong places. Randy Orton was hotter than he had ever been, and people were absolutely into him. This whole story just got dragged out too long, and should have been left alone earlier. I’ll probably get slammed majorly for this, but the last thing that I wanted to see was the McMahon family stepping up to the Legacy at the end of RAW. This could have been THE moment for Orton and the Legacy. It won’t.

World Heavyweight Champion Edge vs. John Cena vs. Big Show (Triple Threat Match)

John Cena wins. Again, it’s not necessarily the best idea, but no way is this guy losing at Mania. I like a comedy love triangle story as much as anyone, but this one really hasn’t clicked well. Wrestlemania should be about the titles and major feuds, and throwing the “Who will Win Vickie Guerrero?” aspect into the match really cheapens it. A World Heavyweight Championship Title match does not need that type of extra flavor.

Intercontinental Champion JBL vs. Rey Mysterio

This match screams “Oh crap! We forgot to put the guy who single-handedly draws the Hispanic demographic on the show!” The IC title should be a major reward, not a consolation prize, which is what it looks like by having JBL win it and Rey challenging for it. With all of JBL’s promises to do something legendary at Mania, look for him to retain the IC title, retire it, and take his rightful place at the announce table.

Matt Hardy vs. Jeff Hardy (Extreme Rules Match)

This looks to be really good. Matt versus Jeff couldn’t really have happened before this year and actually worked, and I’m hoping to see an absolutely unbridled vicious side of Matt Hardy in this match. Matt has pushed and pushed Jeff, but this story isn’t ready to end at Mania. It really hasn’t played out long enough. There’s still more to come, and with that thought in mind, Matt wins after using his more grounded technical skills and savage brutality to take out the more daredevil Jeff. Jeff really shouldn’t win until the feud is ready to end, and it shouldn’t yet. I’m all for things beginning and ending at Mania, but this story just doesn’t feel complete.

WWE Tag Team Champions [Carlito and Primo Colon] vs. World Tag Team Champions [The Miz and John Morrison] (Unified Tag Team Championship Lumberjack Match)

The Miz and John Morrison win, and unify the tag team belts. Please don’t let this match come down to the interference of the feuding and still interchangeable Bella twins! Please? The fact that there’s as much focus on these two twits as there is on the actual tag teams and belts causes concern. No title unification match at Wrestlemania should hang on the interference of irrelevant valets. Period.

    Shawn Michaels vs. Undertaker

Undertaker wins, and the Streak (insert Ray Stevens song here) remains intact. This match will be great. Probably the match of the night. And well should it be, considering the two guys involved. The fact that Mania is in Texas, and both Michaels and Taker are from Texas, will kick this match off the chart. However, the very idea that Shawn Michaels should be the one to end Undertaker’s Mania win streak is incomprehensible. The Streak is almost as legendary as the man who holds it. The person who ends it, if anyone ever does (and it might not ought to be ended at all), would be catapulted to the highest level and be forever remembered in the annals of pro wrestling as the guy who ended a legendary winning streak. Michaels doesn’t need that. He’s already a legend in his own right, and, in a sense, ending Taker’s streak would be wasted on him. It’s not as if he suddenly needs to get over after a lengthy absence. If someone is going to finally defeat the Undertaker at Wrestlemania, it should not be Shawn Michaels.

Money in the Bank Ladder Match (Mark Henry, Finley, CM Punk, Kane, Shelton Benjamin, Kofi Kingston, MVP [US Champion], Christian)

I would love to see CM Punk win this because CM Punk rules. He’s my favorite guy in the match, and I’m totally biased in his favor. The fact that he has already won it once, though, makes it unlikely. As much as I love Punk, he really shouldn’t even be in this match. Previous winners shouldn’t be in it again, and if they must, it should be quite a while. Several years, possibly. Punk should be in a one-on-one Mania match, which is described below. Christian winning the MITB would be amazing, because he would then be in a position to insert himself in angles involving Edge or the Hardys afterwards. He’s certainly the most experienced “ladder match” guy of the lot. However, Vince doesn’t see him as a star, and the MITB isn’t just a ladder match. It’s a guaranteed title shot, and I don’t see Christian being allowed that at this point. Therefore, with my first choice (CM Punk) and my second choice (Christian) being highly unlikely, I’m calling MVP to win it. He has the US title, which means that he’ll probably have to lose it to someone before cashing in his title shot. This could be the start of a major angle for MVP if he wins.

25-Diva Battle Royal for title of “Miss WrestleMania”

Ugh. This is a complete waste, but not for the reasons one might assume. Lance Storm was completely right when he said that this match was a good idea because it gave more of the women a piece of the big Mania payday, which they would not otherwise get. That much is absolutely fair. Unfortunately for them, a 25-person over-the-top-rope elimination battle royal is going to be a giant mess no matter who is in it. That’s just too many people in one ring at a time, and all of them can’t even wrestle to begin with. Candice Michelle and Ashley Massaro won’t be involved, so the chances of serious injury for everyone else in the match just went down. Some of the truly important former Divas aren’t going to be involved, and it really doesn’t feel significant. Sunny will be there, as will Victoria, Torrie Wilson, Jackie Gayda-Haas, and Molly Holly, but let’s look at the list of those who will not. Wendy Richter turned them down, supposedly. Sable and Dawn Marie are both pregnant, and won’t be there. Lita won’t be there, and after how she was treated at the end of her tenure, one can’t blame her at all. The Fabulous Moolah is no longer with us, not that she should have won such a thing, but come on, it’s Moolah. Mae Young won’t be involved in the match itself, but, to be fair, she IS almost 90 years old now. Amy Weber and Joy Giovanni don’t count as major contributors, but they won’t be there. Christy Hemme and Jacqueline (the original Jackie) obviously weren’t asked, as they currently work for TNA. Gail Kim is there. Terri Runnels isn’t. Debra won’t be there. I don’t personally know about Chyna (unlikely) or Jazz. There may not even be 25 women to put in the match by the time it’s all done. With some of the truly legendary Divas not being involved in this match, the original point seems to have been lost. Even so, I call Trish Stratus to win, as she deserves the title of “Miss Wrestlemania” (such as it is) more than anyone, past or present.

Chris Jericho vs. “Rowdy” Roddy Piper, Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat & Jimmy “Superfly” Snuka (w/ Ric Flair)

This is terrible. Chris Jericho wrestling three old guys who can barely move, bona fide legends though they may be, is a very bad decision. Sure, this could all be a swerve and Stone Cold comes out at the actual show to defend the honor of legends everywhere, and it’s really a one-on-one match. The entire angle also could have and should have served the purpose of elevating someone who stepped up to fight on behalf of the legends who inspired him to get into wrestling in the first place. Someone like CM Punk would have been perfect for this, despite the fact that Punk has already been World Champion once. Imagine the absolute GOLD that a promo war between Jericho and Punk would have been! Jericho takes out legend after legend, then Punk steps up and announces that he’s had enough of the disrespect, and that if Jericho wants to bully someone, he can try to bully him. Part of Punk’s appeal to the masses is that he’s one of us, a regular guy who was a fan, and who just happened to have the talent and drive to realize his wrestling dream. Inspiration from legends such as these three is almost built in to the story. This would have been a great Mania match. At least the match of Jericho/Punk wouldn’t have given away the winner. It could have gone either way. No such luck here. Jericho loses at Mania, no matter who and how many he faces in the ring. Aside from the fact that he has already succeeded in beating up the legends, no way is the feel-good vibe of Mania being sullied by evil Jericho winning. Jericho will not only lose, he’ll do so in utterly humiliating fashion. Jericho and the fans deserve better than this.

    Let’s see what happens!

    Peace out,

    Drowgoddess

  8. The WrestleMania experience

As far as WrestleMania attendance goes, I’m pretty much a veteran.  I’ve been to WrestleManias X-8, XIX, and XXIV, so believe me when I tell you that you’ve never experienced anything if you’re a wrestling fan and haven’t experienced WrestleMania live and in person.  But it’s not just the big event that’s an experience.

Before today’s WrestleMania post (which will be from yours truly and posted later on), I wanted to take a minute to swing by and make it official – BoredWrestlingFan.com readership has jumped up another 207 views in the month of March with no signs of slowing down.  You may recall that last month we finished with 947 page views.  This month, we’re up to 1154!  So to all of those who have visited BoredWrestlingFan, thank you for your support and we hope you’ll keep visiting us!

As a side note, our Alexa rank (which ranks the most popular websites) is currently 14,278,179, which doesn’t sound very impressive, until you figure in the fact that we’ve passed 11,642,053 other websites over the last three months.  Eleven million down, fourteen million to go!
