BoredWrestlingFan.com is saddened to hear of the passing of WWE Hall of Famer, Walter “Killer” Kowalski.
Kowalski, who is a legend in the sport and has trained major names such as Chyna, Kaz, and of course, WWE Champion Triple H, passed away this morning after suffering a heart attack back on August 8th. Kowalski refused to go quietly, as his vital signs remained strong even after he was taken off of life support twelve days ago.
Kowalski was an inductee of the WWE Hall of Fame (Class of 1996), the Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame (class of 2003), and the National Polish-American Sports Hall of Fame (Class of 2007).
BoredWrestlingFan.com would like to offer our condolences to the Kowalski family and friends.

Well, the legend of NostraJOEmas went the way of the dinosaur last night. I was only right on 50% of my predictions (including one that didn’t come up here, I picked Matt Hardy over Shelton Benjamin). Some of the ones I got wrong didn’t really surprise me, but others did. I wasn’t too thrilled with the PPV as a whole, though there were some bright spots, including the Shawn Michaels/Chris Jericho match. To be fair though, I think I went into the show with high expectations after last month’s Night of Champions, and the month of great RAWs and SmackDowns afterwards.
My thoughts, and the show results, after the jump! (more…)
Despite matches featuring the WWE Champion, the US Champion, the WWE Tag Team Champions, and the two women who will be competing for the new Divas Championship at The Great American Bash, this show was completely centered around the relationship between the number one contender for the WWE Championship, Edge, and his former fiancee, SmackDown General Manager Vicki Guerrero. Not that I’m complaining – I’m a huge Edgehead. I just think the champions should’ve had some mic time or something, since, y’know, they are champions. Oh well, whatever. Not really much to this week’s show – not saying it wasn’t entertaining, there just wasn’t much to it.
Well, for a while, folks on the World Wrestling Insanity message boards were calling me NostraJOEmas (or, NoJOEdamus if you prefer), because after 7 matches, I’d correctly predicted all 7, including Kofi Kingston taking the Intercontinental Championship from Chris Jericho. My fellow WWI posters were asking me for lottery numbers and the dates of their deaths. Then John Cena lost to Triple H. SmackDown left Night of Champions the same way it came in – the home of two World Champions. RAW’s top champion, Kane, lost his title to ECW’s Mark Henry. So, that begs the question, where does RAW go from here?
But, that’s a story for another article. Get analysis of Night of Champions after the jump! (more…)
I’m awake tonight, and I’m not able to play my Xbox 360 (damned Red Ring of Death), so I’m going to do something unprecedented, at least for our site – a realtime report for the Friday Night show!
SmackDown kicks off with a recap of the draft, followed by Vicki Guerrero saying she sincerely hopes that Mr. McMahon doesn’t have to be in a wheelchair for the rest of her life. She then says we’re going to celebrate SmackDown’s good fortunes in the draft, starting with the new voice of SmackDown, JR! I just popped for Mick Foley – he’s wearing a Buffalo Bisons jersey!
It’s time to play the game! The WWE Champion is the first superstar to make his way to the SmackDown ring this evening. Hunter says Mr. McMahon’s whole world came crashing down around him – or basically on top of him. Trips says Mick Foley has a keen sense of style, and calls JR the greatest announcer in the history of this business. He says it doesn’t matter which show you’re a fan of, you’re a fan of the WWE Universe, which makes HHH feel at home. Now to shill the PPV, where Hunter will defend the WWE Championship against John Cena.
EDGE!
The WWE Champion is interrupted by the World Heavyweight Champion. Rumor has it that they can’t coexist. Edge thinks otherwise. Triple H disagrees with Edge, as they both have massive egos (Triple H’s is much bigger than Edge’s according to Triple H), and after this Sunday, Triple H will still be WWE Champion. Edge gives Triple H a history lesson – Batista has never beaten Edge for the World Heavyweight Champion, whereas Triple H lost his only one on one match with John Cena. Edge says that SmackDown is his house, this is his show (I’m sure the Rock is proud), and that Triple H needs to respect him like everybody else…
Which cues Batista.
Triple H dumps Edge over the top rope, right into a Batista spear. Batista enters the ring, and, to quote JR, “holy Evolution,” as The Animal and The Game hold the two world championships high.
Later tonight – WrestleMania 24 rematch, with brand roles reversed – Batista vs. Umaga, and Edge takes on U.S. Champion Matt Hardy. Rey Mysterio gives his SmackDown farewell address.
