If this week’s poll is any indication, wrestling fans want to see announcers get beat up and wrestlers demanding things from the General Manager. Brock Lesnar returns to the top.

They also love fake sobriety tests, apparently. Though I have to admit, CM Punk was EPIC during this segment. He still flubbed saying the alphabet backwards though.
3. Chris Jericho (NR)
Chris Jericho returns to action, defeating Kofi Kingston on RAW and setting up said fake sobriety test. I’m sure it was the great match that sent Jericho back into the top 10.
4. Edge (NR)
Want to get into the top 5 on the Power Poll? Go away for a while then come back. The voters here LOVE a great comeback. Hence, Brock Lesnar being in the top 3 every week since he’s been back. Edge came to RAW to talk sense into John Cena, and he’s sitting at number 4.
5. Lord Tensai (2)
Lord Tensai dominates R-Truth, but fails to continue his Power Poll dominance, dropping 3 to number 5.
6. Sheamus (4)
The World Heavyweight Champion wins in a six-man on SmackDown (the SmackDown that counts towards these is LAST WEEK’s), but loses ground as he’s screwed over, then forced to tap out, by Daniel Bryan.
7. Big Show (10)
Show picked up the victory for his team in said six-man, then picked up the win for his team in a tag match on RAW.
8. Randy Orton (NR)
The Viper didn’t do much of note on SmackDown, but came to RAW, kidnapped Kane’s father Paul Bearer, and then sent the Big Red Monster fleeing through the crowd.
9. Ryback (9)
Arrive. Squash Jobber. Leave. A holding pattern for Ryback on both SmackDown and the Power Poll.
10. Nikki Bella (NR)
The new WWE Divas Champion rounds out the Power Poll for this week.

Hey guys, I decided to take the night off, and in my absence, twitter user @Punk_Kanellis was kind enough to send us her thoughts on the show. Here they are, enjoy!
Last night on WWE Monday night RAW, comedian Jon Lovitz hosted. You know the night is gonna be corny when a comedian hosts, well anyways, The first match was a Triple Threat Qualifying match. Whoever won would be in the Fatal-Four-Way match next month. The match of course had all the top RAW superstars in it; figures. It went by slow and steady, gaining tension towards the end. Edge won that by spearing Jericho, and then the 3-count. I don’t know about you fans, but I LOVE the Hart Dynasty. They are so powerful, and Natalya plays a great role in it as well. Well, they took on William Regal and Vladimir Kozlov, nothing much to say about this match. The Hart Dynasty won– but wait! Here comes the exciting part! They got attacked by a mystery trio of 2 men and 1 women, we’ll have to wait till next week to see who it was! Jon Lovitz then hosted a “WWE Superstar Search”.. lame to me. Khali and his little “translator” put on a disgusting version of an old song, and then Of course, before Jillian started singing (does that women EVER wrestle?), Lovitz cut her off and pulled someone out of the crowd to do some weird thing with their eyes. Honestly, what happened to World WRESTLING Entertainment? All these acts disgust me, it’s supposed to be wrestling people! Not a reality show! Next up, R-Truth vs. The Miz; this match was actually pretty good. Pretty high impact, back-and-forth action between the two superstars. But, R-Truth came out with the win and told Toledo, Ohio What’s up! Congratulations R-Truth for becoming the New US Champion! Next up, my favorite time of the night, women’s wrestling! These ladies are so talented, I respect them so much. It was Alicia Fox and Maryse vs. the STILL reigning diva’s champion, Eve and Gail Kim. This match was what WWE calls a divas match now-a-days. Maryse wasn’t in the mood to begin with since she failed to re-capture the title from Eve last night, what did make her a little happier is that she rolled up Eve for the win. Short but long segment of new RAW GM Bret Hart assigning the Fatal-Four-Way for next month, the competitors would be John Cena vs. Edge vs. Chris Jericho vs. whoever won this next match, Sheamus vs. Mark Henry. Mark Henry, as always, dominated over Sheamus, but GO FIGURES… Sheamus ended up winning. How do you roll up a man that heavy? I don’t know. Sheamus is also qualified. Bret Hart than got assigned as new RAW GM! Whoo! No more celebs!
Johnny Damon from your 2009 World Series Champion New York Yankees (w00t!) is the guest host tonight for Monday Night RAW! I have no idea what’s booked for tonight, but you can assume that it’ll have something to do with the Slammy Award Winning John Cena and his pursuit of the equally Slammy Award Winning WWE Champion, Sheamus. Let’s go!
Here’s something interesting I just noticed – in the opening bumper, it no longer has “Hulkamania is runnin’ wild” as one of the featured audio clips – instead, it’s “Everybody’s got a price!”

Rey Mysterio makes his way out to the ring as that terrible announcer who got canned from ECW, Lauren Mayhew, does the ring introductions. Mysterio is in tag team action, and his partner tonight is The World’s Strongest Man, Mark Henry. They’re opponents tonight are Carlito and CM Punk.

I love the matches on these Tribute to the Troops shows. It’s really awesome what the WWE does for the troops, and the guys on the card always give their best. Mysterio nails a double 619 on Carlito and Punk, followed by a West Coast Pop on Punk and a World’s Strongest Slam on Carlito, as the faces pick up the win in the opening contest.

Eve introduces Santa Claus. Santa is played this year by R-Truth, who doesn’t even bother to change the lyrics to “What’s Up” to anything Christmas or Troops related. He complains that he’s gaining weight because everybody leaves him goodies when he comes to deliver the presents. He’s got a sweet tooth, and he’s going to bring out honey right now – in the form of his helpers, the WWE Divas. The Divas come down to the ring and pass out swag from WWEShop.com.

Michael Cole takes a moment that despite John Morrison having the championship at the time of this match, he’d lost it this past Sunday to Drew McIntyre. The Miz picks up the victory with his feet up on the ropes.

My Thoughts: This is the best WWE show of the year. It’s bigger than WrestleMania, and the WWE considers these trips to be more important than WrestleMania. Another great show, but I know I’m not the only one who feels like an hour isn’t long enough. I’d gladly give up RAW or SmackDown for a week to see a two hour Tribute to the Troops broadcast. Thank you, WWE, for what you do for the Troops, and thanks to the Troops for what they do for us.

WWE SmackDown was taped this week from London. In the main event, Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase took on Shane McMahon and Batista. Here’s a rundown of events and matches from the event…
– Edge comes (to the) ring and cuts promo on Sunday’s Backlash. Lots of heat when he mentions Vickie Guerrero. She sucks.
– Matt Hardy and Kane defeat Jeff Hardy and CM Punk; Solid match. Matt gets the rollup on Jeff for the victory.
– The Big Show defeats The Undertaker; The Big Show delivers a knockout blow to the back of Undertaker’s head. The referee stops the match because Undertaker can’t continue. But The Undertaker gets up and punches Big Show out of the ring.
– Maryse defeats Gail Kim, retains the WWE Divas Championship; very boring match.
– MVP defeats Chavo Guerrero; quick match that was followed by a challenge to MVP by Dolph Ziggler for a match next week.
– Shane McMahon and Batista defeat Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase; Shane gets the pin but also accidentally knocks Batista off the ropes during the match. Uh-oh.
