Welcome to another edition of the BWF Roundtable. I am JT, your host for the evening as we look at the TLC pay per view. Joining me tonight are BWF writers Drowgoddess & Tharvey1 along with fellow BWF follower RYTMAN. Well without further ado lets get this show on the road: (more…)
So I’ve been thinking about it. I want to write a book. I want to write about the reasons I’m a wrestling fan and the moments that have defined and strengthen my love of professional wrestling since I began watching 24 years ago. This, of course, begs the question: If I were to write a book, would anybody buy it? Let me know!
Tonight, Mick Foley hunts down Jeff Jarrett, and we’ll hear more about the 3 Hour Monday Night iMPACT on January 4th. Plus, TNA will probably brag about buying a billboard in New York City with Hulk Hogan’s mug on it. All this, and presumably, some wrestling, tonight on iMPACT!
We are just 3 days from TLC on Sunday. Here on tonights show the main event is Jack Swagger vs MVP. Where have they been lately???
Match 1: Dolph Ziggler vs Finlay
I hate Finlay’s “Hornswoggle” entrance music. I wish he would go back to his ominous Celtic theme. Why hasn’t Dolph Ziggler been on Smackdown lately? Wasn’t he on track to be the Intercontinental Champion??? ECW … or whatever they’re gonna call it soon will be the next stop for him. Ziggler wins this match with the Zig Zag.
Josh Matthews interviews MVP. MVP says he doesn’t like Jack Swagger and he needs an umbrella when he sees him to shield Swagger’s saliva.
Match 2: Hart Dynasty vs Jimmy Wang Yang and Slam Master J
This is a squash match if I’ve ever seen one. I assume that’s the only reason why these two have jobs. Tyson Kidd pins Slam Master J with some type of inverted suplex neck breaker.
Main Event: Jack Swagger vs MVP
Swagger grabs a mic and says he has a certain responsibilty and is held to a certain standard. He will let the children look up to him. He then proceeds to say he doesn’t have a lisp and then has trouble saying his name. Jack Swagger wins the match with his Gutwrench Powerbomb. This was a good overall match. Both guys should be in the championship race on RAW.
That’s it for me tonight. Remember to check out the Impact review, Smackdown review, and the TLC Roundtable on Sunday. See ya next week!
We’re less than a week till Shelton Benjamin and Christian try to steal the show at TLC for the ECW title. We open with Joah Matthews explaining the rules of the match. Vladimir Kozlov interrupts to call out Ezekial Jackson. (more…)
Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban hosts and Chris Jericho takes on DX in a handicapped match tonight. Sound like fun? Didn’t think so. Ah well, try to enjoy it. Here we go!
Your Tsarina of “Smackdown” will be in attendance at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas tomorrow night for tapings of ECW and “Smackdown.” My Friday night real-time will contain references thereunto. If you watch ECW or “Smackdown,” look for me! I have four signs. “BWF.” “Drew McIntyre.” “Save Me, CM Punk.” “Goat Rabbit Alliance.” Don’t ask about that last one, it’s a long story.
I love independent wrestling shows. I know I’ve mentioned time and time again that the first time I went to a local show, it was headlined by current TNA International Champion “Showtime” Eric Young, who was feuding at the time with “Dangerboy” Derek Wylde over the affections of Angel Williams, who went on to greater fame as TNA Knockout Angelina Love. Also on the card that night were The Original Sinn, who would later become Kizarny in WWE, and “Textbook” Tyson Dux, who represented Team International in TNA’s World X Cup a few years ago. Saturday Night, I attended Empire State Wrestling’s “Unbreakable” event, the follow up to November’s “OverDrive,” which you can read about here.
Hi all and welcome once again to another edition of the single most requested article by me. While we finally get snow here in JTland, (though not more than a dusting) lets take a look of what I can remember of the last seven days: (more…)
