What’s up everyone and welcome to the second edition of the Roundtable. Tonight I am your host as we sit down and predict this Sunday’s “Hell In A Cell” pay per view! Tonight we all of the BWF staff on board with their predictions, so without further ado, let’s get this show on the road:

1. World Heavyweight Championship Match- CM Punk vs. Undertaker (Hell in a Cell Match):

Legend Killer: Punk retains. Oh yeah, nobody else picks it, but watch for Batista.

ThinkSoJoE: We still don’t know for sure who put Long, Punk, and Scott Armstrong up to screwing The Undertaker at Breaking Point, so I’m sure that he’ll get screwed again at Hell In A Cell. Punk’s leaving with the gold.

Tharvey1: Undertaker over CM Punk

Drowgoddess: I want CM Punk to win and retain the title. It’s considered a foregone conclusion that Taker wins here, but it’s just too soon. Taker winning here makes no sense.

JT: It is more logical to have Punk retain here since he has people to feud with such as Batista, Rey Mysterio, And even to a lesser extent Great Khali and John Morrsion. If Taker wins he has Kane and that’s about it unless they turn Batista heel, which I don’t see happening. Punk retains.

2. Divas Championship Match- Mickie James vs. Alicia Fox:

Legend Killer: Mickie James. Who the hell is Alicia Fox?

ThinkSoJoE: Why even have a Hell in a Cell PPV if you don’t have EVERY match inside a Hell In A Cell? This one will be a victory for Mickie James if the WWE wants their women’s division to have even an ounce of credibility compared to TNA’s

Tharvey1: Mickie James over Alicia Fox

Drowgoddess: Mickie James. That Alicia Fox is even in a ppv title match is appalling.

JT: Mickie James. Do I really need to explain.

3. WWE Championship Match- John Cena vs. Randy Orton (Hell in a Cell Match):

Legend Killer: Cena. Because the WWE are like that.

ThinkSoJoE: Cena just won the title. Cena sells merchandise. WWE have a new toy deal starting in January with Mattel, and cheap looking toy championships to sell. Cena ain’t losing at HIAC.

Tharvey1: John Cena over Randy Orton

Drowgoddess: Cena wins. After the last RAW, it’s a given.

JT: I think that the stipulation in that if Orton loses, he can’t have another title shot. So, I’m going with Orton here. Plus like with Punk, it’s better for Orton to be champ, since he can go on to feud with HHH and HBK and even the long awaited Mark Henry feud we’ve all been waiting for. If Cena wins, he has nobody and babyface vs. babyface feuds can’t happen all the time.

4. D-Generation X vs. The Legacy (Hell in a Cell Match):

Legend Killer: DX. See previous match. Also, Cody Rhodes was Rey Mysterio jr. in WCW.

ThinkSoJoE: If there wasn’t another PPV between now and Survivor Series, there would be no question in my mind about Legacy winning this match. My assumption is that they’re still booking DX & Cena vs. Orton and Legacy as the dark main event for RAW events after Bragging Rights later this month, the theory of DX finally getting their revenge at Survivor Series could still hold up. I’m going to go with Legacy here.

Tharvey1: DX over Legacy

Drowgoddess: Who are we kidding? DX wins here, and in humiliating fashion. I completely disagree with the people who say that DX has effectively put over Legacy, and that a DX win at HIAC is acceptable.

JT: I’ve got two words for ya: “DX WINS!” I don’t see Legacy having any chance here.

5. United States Championship Match- Kofi Kingston vs. The Miz vs. Jack Swagger:

Legend Killer: The Miz. His opponents are a palm tree after a bushfire, and the second is the re-incarnation of Dusty Rhodes.
ThinkSoJoe: All three of these guys have been in a game of one-upsmanship over the past few weeks. Kofi’s outsmarted Miz and Swagger on a few occasions, leading me to believe he’s retaining.

Tharvey1: Jack Swagger over Miz and Kofi Kingston

Drowgoddess: I like all three of these guys, and will be happy no matter who wins. That said, I’m going with Kofi to retain, and Swagger and The Miz to develop a feud of their own over it.

JT: Kofi Kingstion has been champion since June, so a title change is eminent. I’m gonna go with Swagger here.

6. Unified Tag Team Championship Match- Chris Jericho & Big Show vs. Batista & Rey Mysterio:

Legend Killer: Batista and Rey. You really see them losing? Silly wrestling fan, WWE is for kids. Yes, the WWE is now a breakfast cereal.

ThinkSoJoE: Look. I’m going to give the same prediction I’ve given before. They took the time to have a band come in and remake a remix of Jericho and Big Show’s theme music. They’re not splitting the team up this quickly by ending their reign at Hell In A Cell. If they do, and I have to see Batista when RAW comes to Buffalo in three weeks, I’ll be very upset.

Tharvey1: JeriShow over Boretista and Rey Mysterio

Drowgoddess: Batista and Rey would not be in this match if they weren’t going to win it. I don’t want them to, but I predict that they will. That said, I want JeriShow to retain until Edge comes back, and have Edge and Jericho start their inevitable feud with Edge and Christian (who will have lost the ECW title to Regal) winning the tag team titles one more time.

JT: There hasn’t been enough build for this match for me to believe that the titles will change hands. Plus Mysterio has unfinished business with John Morrison and Dolph Ziggler. Plus both Rey and Batista are the next in line to be World Title contenders. Jericho and Big Show retain and keep thetitles until Edge returns and causes them to lose them.

7. Intercontinental Championship Match- John Morrison vs. Dolph Ziggler:

Legend Killer: errrr … Morrison?

ThinkSoJoE: PLEASE let Ziggler win. It’s no secret that I’m a huge JoMo mark, but the whole “Mr. Ziggles” thing got real old, real quick. I want Ziggler to win just so Morrison will take him seriously enough to stop calling him that. So, my pick is Ziggler.

Tharvey1: John Morrison over Dolph Ziggler

Drowgoddess: Ziggler has been doing well, and I like the guy more than I thought I would, but I don’t see the Guru of Greatness losing the title just yet. With the hint of a Maria heel turn recently, I’d like to see a slow burn on that where Maria eventually does something despicable to help Ziggler win the title, and we have a new heel couple. Morrison retains.

JT: With Rey returning, I think that he’ll want a rematch for the title at some point, probably the first or second Smackdown after the pay per view, and he will face the champion, John Morrison! Ziggler’s day is coming though.

What’s up, Peeps?!  The HIAC ppv is approaching and I like the concept.  The last Superstars has come and gone and my review is late today… like it normally is.  I try to be fashonably late.

Match 1:  Shad w/ JTG and Eve vs Tyson Kidd w/ David Hart Smith and Natalya

As Todd Grisham said, Shad will try to rep his hood in this match.  Shad gets the win in this relatively long match by Superstars standards.  Pretty nice finish sees Shad catching Tyson Kidds springboard into a reverse Russian Leg Sweep.

Match 2:  Shaemus vs Tyler Reks

How has Tyler Reks not been released yet?  This guy can’t even walk properly!  Shaemus gets the win with a boot to the face.

Main Event:  The Miz vs Kofi Kingston

I want The Miz to be US champ soon!  He’s awesome!!!  Kofi is good too I guess.  He picks up the win in this one as he hits the Trouble in Paradise.

Hell in a Cell Predictions

Intercontinental Title Match:  John Morrison defeats Dolph Ziggler

United States Championship Triple Threat Match:  Jack Swagger defeats The Miz and Kofi Kingston

Unified Tag Title Match:  JeriShow defeats Batista and Rey Mysterio

Tag Team HIAC Match:  DX defeats Legacy

Divas Title Match:  Mickie James defeats Alicia Fox

World Heavyweight Title HIAC Match:  Undertaker defeats CM Punk

WWE Title HIAC Match:  John Cena defeats Randy Orton

Well, since the show doesn’t air for another 11 hours, I guess I have to hide the rest of this review on the other side of the jump…

Tiffany was apparently in a car accident, so while she’s recovering, William Regal is in charge.  He’s been ordered not to make any decisions involving the ECW Championship, including Number One Contenders matches.  He’s made a change to tonight’s main event however.  It will now be Christian vs. Zack Ryder, Vladimir Kozlov, Ezekiel Jackson, and William Regal in a 4 on 1 handicapped match.

Abraham Washington Show with guest, Intercontinental Champion John Morrison

And you guys wonder why I don’t watch this show anymore.  BTW, Morrison was on “Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader” earlier tonight.  He lost on the last question, but the show sent $2500 in his name to the Make A Wish Foundation anyway.  Morrison takes shots at The Miz and Dolph Ziggler, until Ziggler comes out and takes a seat next to him on the couch.  After some bad Dolph Lundgren jokes, we reach the punchline of John Morrison calling Ziggler “Mr. Ziggles.”  Even Morrison and Ziggler couldn’t save this segment.

Backstage, Regal is on the phone defending his decision to make the match tonight.  Ryder comes in and says that he’s got it on his own, but Regal says that the board of directors has made the match Regal, Kozlov, Jackson, and Ryder vs. Christian, Yoshi Tatsu, Tommy Dreamer, and Goldust.  Ryder questions Regal’s management abilities.

Shelton Benjamin def. Paul Burchill

Sheamus assaulted Shelton Benjamin from behind when he was on his way to the ring.  The referee asked him if he still wanted to wrestle, and he said yes.  It’s all Burchill through this match – until Benjamin dropped him with Pay Dirt for the victory.

We waste a bunch of time talking about RAW’s main event for Hell In A Cell.  Then Christian gives a pep talk to his team.

Tatsu pinned Regal for the win.

RAW is in the capital city of mine and JT’s home state, Albany, NY.

We’re kicking things off with the VIP Lounge with your host MVP, and his tag team partner, The World’s Strongest Man, Mark Henry. That means, big things poppin’, little things stoppin’. Whatever that means. MVP gets ready to introduce tonight’s guest host…

WELLL… BREAK THE WALLS DOWN!

The World Tag Team Champions are here, and the VIP Lounge security doesn’t stop them. Jericho says shame on MVP for giving an introduction like that to a man like Reverent Al Sharpton. He shouldn’t call him a guest host. He should call him the greatest civil rights leader of all time. MVP and Jericho go back and forth over Sharpton’s accolades. MVP goes for the introduction again, but Jericho steals his thunder.

Reverend Al Sharpton comes to the VIP Lounge to “Living In America.” He says it’s the most elaborate introduction he’s ever gotten in his life – and the fans boo. He says it’s a tough crowd, and that tomorrow in Philadelphia, he’ll be embarking on a tour to promote education reform. MVP says we need reform on RAW in the form of the Unified Tag Team Champions. He suggests that Mark Henry and himself should face Beauty And The Beast, JeriShow, here tonight. Sharpton asks Jericho what he thinks. Jericho says he’s surrounded by hypocrites and parasites, liars and people with no morals. Jericho says they can’t have another match tonight because they’re already competing against John Cena in a gauntlet match, and they’ve already beaten MVP and Mark Henry. Jericho says the people don’t deserve to be educated, because they’re too far gone already. They shouldn’t have the right to vote and their opinions do not matter. Sharpton says everybody deserves and opportunity. He asks the fans if they want to see a championship match tonight. The fans cheer, and Sharpton says that we’re going to have a championship match, next! Jericho says it’s discrimination.

Chris Jericho & The Big Show def. MVP & Mark Henry

This must be some new record for RAW – we’ve got a match just 13 minutes into the show!  I can’t honestly remember when the last time that happened was, though I’m sure there was probably one recently that I’m forgetting.  In the end, despite the momentum built up by MVP, Jericho managed to hit the CodeBreaker for the victory!

<COMMERCIAL BREAK>

Primo says that Reverend Sharpton is an inspiration to all minorities.  Hornswoggle runs in, being chased by Chavo, who calms things down and introduces himself and his partner, Chris Masters.  Santino comes in and calls Chavo and Masters the Geico Cavemen.  He then confuses Sharpton with Don King and Issac Hayes.  Sharpton tells Primo he’s not sure what he’s gotten himself into.  Primo says it gets a little loco around here, and welcomes him to Monday Night RAW.

Josh Matthews is standing by with Randy Orton.  Orton says that Cena doesn’t stand a chance to survive tonight, let alone compete.  Then he goes on the usual spiel about having been in a Hell In A Cell match before and he says he’ll win the WWE Championship.

Alicia Fox and Rosa Mendez are walking backstage.  I was hoping they were walking towards the exit, but The King says we’ve got Diva action, NEXT!

Ugh.  I don’t even feel like covering the entrances for this match, let alone the match.  Let’s just get this over with.

Mickie James def. Rosa Mendez

The Carolina Panthers scored a touchdown and are up 7-0 over the Cowboys during this match.  Mickie won.  That’s all I know.

<COMMERCIAL BREAK>

We get a glimpse of a Hell In A Cell hanging above the ring for no apparent reason.  Hey look, Legacy are here!

DiBiase says that they get it.  Nobody expects them to win on Sunday.  Nobody expects them to beat DX in the Cell.  But you should, because of what they’ve done to them over the past few weeks.  For those with short attention spans, Legacy have put together a video for you.  I got a phone call and missed a bunch of what Legacy said, but HBK said they were boring.  DX is up in the stands and making fun of them.  Legacy get mad and DX make fun of them some more.  Cody interrupts, and HBK interrupts Cody to tell him that Triple H wasn’t finished.  Essentially it comes down to, “why wait ’til Sunday?”  DX head down the stairs and to the ring.  Legacy bail, and Triple H says there’s no hiding on Sunday and that for Legacy, it’s going to be pure Hell.

<COMMERCIAL BREAK>

The All American American Jack Swagger has a flag on his belt.  That’s because it’s the United States Championship he stole from The Miz, who stole it from Kofi Kingston last week.  The three of them will be in a triple threat match at Hell In A Cell for the title.  Swagger’s jobber to the stars opponent tonight is Evan Bourne.

Bourne looks like a dwarf next to Swagger.  Swagger picks up the win in a short match.

After the match, Swagger says he’s going to be the next US Champion.  The Miz thinks otherwise.  He says he’s been the most impressive draft pick for RAW this year, and that he’ll be the next US Champion.  Swagger and The Miz start brawling, and Kofi Kingston shows up and steals his belt back.

<COMMERCIAL BREAK>

Santino Marella and Hornswoggle make their way out to the ring, followed by Chavo Guerrero and Chris Masters, and we’re underway.

Santino & Hornswoggle def. Chavo Guerrero & Chris Masters

Masters gets the blind tag and locks Santino in the Master Lock, passing out and losing for his team without Hornswoggle ever even getting in the ring.

After the match, Masters grabs Hornswoggle, and hooks him in the Master Lock, much to the surprise of Chavo, who decks Masters and takes off.  Masters gives Chavo a “WTF” look as he leaves.

Lynyrd Skynyrd’s new album comes out tomorrow

Big Show, Chris Jericho, and Randy Orton are discussing strategy in the back.

Ben Roethlisberger is the guest host of RAW next Monday, and is bringing the entire Steelers offensive line with him, apparently.  The King and Cole run down the card.

On that note, I’m going to turn things over to this week’s guest hostess for BWF’s RAW review, the Empress of iMPACT, Drowgoddess!

Hey, all!

Reverend Al Sharpton is backstage. He still receives tremendous boos. He thanks everyone for the fun time that he has had. Jillian comes running up and interrupts him. She, fortunately, is not allowed to hang around and sing for extended lengths of time. Reverend Al dances with the Bella twins instead. We see John Cena backstage before we go to a commercial break.

When we return, John Cena enters first for the three-on-one gauntlet match. Whether Cena wins or loses, he must fight all three opponents, one at a time. Chris Jericho is up first.

John Cena vs. Chris Jericho: Cena tries to pin Jericho quickly, but Jericho squirms out repeatedly. Massive “Cena!” chants. Jericho lays into Cena with kicks to the midsection. Jericho attempts to wear down Cena with holds. Cena goes for the Attitude Adjustment, but Jericho rolls through and counters, continuing to punch Cena. In the face. Jericho is in control. Cena flattens Jericho with a shoulder tackle off the ropes. Cena takes Jericho down, and we can’t see him! Cena hits the Five Knuckle Shuffle, but Jericho fights out of the Attitude Adjustment. Walls of Jericho on Cena! Cena makes it to the bottom rope. Jericho refuses to release the hold. The referee counts to five. Jericho refuses to release the hold. Jericho is disqualified for refusing to break the hold, and Cena gets the win. Jericho only releases the hold when the Big Show reaches ringside.

Winner by DQ: John Cena

John Cena vs. the Big Show: Jericho remains at ringside to comment and encourage Show. Show pounds on Cena as we go to commercial break. When we return, Show drives Cena into the corner, and targets Cena’s lower back. Jericho shouts at Show and bangs his hand on the mat. Show catches Cena in a bear hug. Show drops Cena with a kick to the gut. Show goes for a chokeslam, but Cena counters with a DDT (By DDT, I mean a gently rolling summersault). Cena picks up Show for an Attitude Adjustment, but Jericho rushes the ring and knocks Cena down. Jericho and Show beat Cena down. Show is disqualified due to Jericho’s interference, and Cena gets a second victory.

Winner by DQ: John Cena

John Cena vs. Randy Orton: Orton enters slowly, staring unblinkingly at Cena. Cena gestures, “come get some.” No, King, Delirious doesn’t work for WWE. Cena is not Delirious. Sorry, I had to go there. 🙂 Orton slowly circles Cena, every inch the predator. They stand almost nose-to-nose. Cena raises one finger, and the Hell in a Cell cage lowers over them. Orton tries to escape, but Cena grabs him around the waist, and drags him back in as the cage lowers. Randy Orton has been outsmarted! The massive “Cena!” chants continue. Cena looks at the opened cage door. He looks at Orton. Orton must get past Cena to get out the door. They fight outside the cage door. Cena gets Orton up for an Attitude Adjustment, but Orton leaps up on the cage wall and climbs like Spiderman to the top. Cena follows. Cena and Orton square off on top of the Hell in a Cell cage. Which has lighting equipment sitting on it. For some reason. Cena hits Orton with an Attitude Adjustment on the roof of the cage. Cena stands tall over Orton, then drops down and talks trash. Cena appears to have won this match, though precisely how, is unclear.

Winner: John Cena

Before I get started with the SmackDown review, I want to give an update on the condition of “Mastiff” Will Calrissian, who slipped off of the ropes and landed on his head during the Empire State Wrestling “Overdrive” event last weekend.  He’s out of the hospital, and recovering from a fractured skull.  We here at BoredWrestlingFan wish Mastiff a speedy recovery!

Anyways, I have no idea what’s on tap for tonight, so let’s just roll with it!

10 days until Hell in a Cell.  That means 2 more Superstars to review.  Lets get the first one out of the way.

Match 1:  The Masterpiece Chris Master vs Primo Colon

Its time to start pushing Chris Masters into something big.  This guy is huge!  Primo is a very good inhancement talent.  Masters should not be losing to Primo, but I understand that Primo can’t job every week and needs some credibility for himself.  Primo wins this with a quick roll up.  This is fine with me, as Masters was not made to look weak in the loss.  Primo is always fun to watch and he has so much more talent than Carlito, but I still see Carlito as having more to offer.  Go figure.

Match 2:  Goldust vs William Regal

Lord Regal’s court follows him to the ring in this one.  Big Zeke is a star!  Kozlov not so much, but he is ginormous too.  Should Goldust still be called Goldust if his ring attire is more black than gold?  Goldust wins this one via DQ.  Kozlov and Ezekial Jackson help Regal dismantle Goldust.  Christian, Tommy Dreamer and Yoshi Tatsu rush to the ring to save the Golden one.

Match 3:  Michelle McCool and Layla vs Maria and Melina

If you have missed it, over the last few weeks Maria and Melina have been on the outs, as Maria thinks Melina has been trying to sabotage her relationship with Mr. Ziggles.  Early on, Maria and Melina seem to be on the same page.  Michelle McCool hits a big boot to Maria’s face and Layla gets the pin.  After the match, Maria wants nothing to do with Melina.  This proves that good booking and creative writing can make women’s matches interesting. 

Ask the divas segment.  Who cares?!

Main Event:  Matt Hardy vs Kane

Matt just doesn’t do it for me at all.  He is out of shape, doesn’t speak well, and can’t do the things he used to be able to.  Kane, however, should be a main event heel on Smackdown right now, but the fans will always love him too.  Why are the fans behind Matt so much?  Is it because he is Jeff’s brother?  He certainly isn’t exciting to watch or listen to anymore.  Matt wins via DQ as Kane straddles Matt on the ropes several times and then delivers a Chokeslam for good measure.  Even after leaving Matt in a heaping pile in the ring, the fans still popped for Kane as he left the ring.

Actually, that’s it. Infact, it’s going to be it for awhile. I am taking a leave of absence from BWF, so as I can catch up on other projects, and sort out other problems.
