Leave a CommentGreat. I get to turn off my beloved Buffalo Sabres to hear a bunch of little people jokes as Verne Troyer hosts Monday Night RAW. Ugh. Let’s get started, I guess.

Yours truly was in attendance three weeks ago in Buffalo when they filmed crowd footage for the new RAW open. That said, I doubt I’ll have made it in to the intro, but I’ll be looking nonetheless. Tonight’s show emanates from Madison Square Garden in New York City and is guest hosted by “Rowdy” Roddy Piper, and there’s a hell of a main event in store with DX vs. JeriShow vs. John Cena and The Undertaker! We’ve got our own guest host lined up, @AlyKat_730 from the Twitterverse. Want to guest host RAW for BoredWrestlingFan? Let us know, we’re on Twitter at @BrdWrstlngFn!
Alright. This is going to be a challenge. I’m going to do my best to review RAW, keep up with the twitterverse, and watch my New York Yankees in game 5 of the World Series tonight. Thankfully, I’ve got picture in picture on both of my TVs now, so I can chill in my living room with my laptop and do it all from the comfort of my couch.
Also, I’m pissed off that Ozzy is the host this week. I get stuck with NASCAR dweebs when the Prince of f#$%^ Darkness is hosting this week? Boo! Whatever, let’s go!
Your Empress of “Impact” is, for one night only, your Reina of RAW! As I shall be missing this week’s “Impact,” I traded reviews with our fearless leader and founder, ThinkSoJoE. What fallout will we see from last night’s “Breaking Point” ppv? Will Trish Stratus have blonde hair again? Join us here and on the BWF thread for RAW, and find out!
Weclome to the War for another week, were we dwelve into the happenings of the week that was.
For those who watched Monday Night Raw this week, I’m sorry you had to sit through that. For those who didn’t, well it’s a good thing you did.
Jeremy Piven was guest host this week, andwas entertaining at times. Whereas his co-host, Dr. Ken, was not. He was just, awful. The highlight of RAW was Chris Jericho, during the match between Kofi Kingston, and Jericho Tag Team partner, the Big Show. Jericho’s commentary provided the lone highlight for this viewer, in an otherwise dull show. I might just have to start boycotting WWE programming.
However, also on that same broadcast, John Cena defeated the Miz. That may not seem a shock, however, the stipulations for the match, were plentiful. Because the Miz lost, he is banned from the SummerSlam, the Staples Center and Monday Night Raw. That means, the former reality show star does not offically have a show yet, according to these stipulations. Let’s just hope that he isnt in TNA in four months.
Jeff Hardy should not be World Champion.
Does Legacy really mean that much to the company, if they have to do the J.O.B to the returning D-Generation X at SummerSlam?
TNA are having a clearout. No, you can’t buy t-shirts at half price. You can buy, genuine supporters of Jeff Jarrett. That’s right! Dutch Mantel, and Savio Vega have been given the boot, and they can be yours to own for only $49.95. Not even Billy Mays could get you a better deal. Act now, and Dixie Carter may throw in the added bonus of one Vince Russo. Might I also suggest buying TNA stock. That’s if, TNA actually have a stock option.
Did anyone else notice Kaz during the recap of Comic-Con ’09 on iMPACT last week? That would mean that Kaz, Daniels and Suicide, were in the same place at the same time. That means … who the hell is Suicide? (NOTE: Suicide is Nicole Bass)
Who has dodgier facial hair? Carlito, Primo or Kurt Angle?
Time to step outside the realms of the wrestling world for a moment here.
Watch Code Monkeys on G4! and buy the DVD! You will be entertained. I promise.
Has anyone ever had their Tom Selleck BlackJacked?
It seems that Vanessa Hudgens is at it again. You’d have thought that after the first time she posed nude for her phone, that she wouldnt do it again. Well, she did it again. This just shows you what exactly High School Musical brings to the world. Underage Porn.
Short and sweet. Just the way I can be bothered writing it. I shall go back to Guitar Hero.
Admittedly, I’m not really looking forward to a commercial free RAW, but at least it’s being presented by my hero, Donald Trump, the “new owner” of RAW. Triple H will challenge Randy Orton in a Last Man Standing match for the WWE Championship tonight as well, and it’s starting as I type this, so let’s go!
Yes folks, the format from last week’s RAW is back! I liked the way last week’s turned out, even if it was a lot more work than normal, so we’re going with it again. Randy Orton is the WWE Champion after last night’s Backlash event, and Triple H was sent to the hospital, so tonight I suppose we’ll find out who’s going to step up to challenge the Legend Killer (not our Legend Killer, the WWE’s version) for his title.
No Way Out is finally over, and ThinkSoJoE finally has USA HD through his cable provider (and SciFi too! No more reviewing Standard Definition WWE shows!). Edge is the World Heavyweight Champion, so what does this mean for the main event situation on Monday Night RAW? Perhaps we’ll find out tonight!
Reviewing RAW; after the jump! (more…)
Wow, an “on DVR” review. It’s been a while since I did one of those. Normally I’d write the article while the show is on and finish it when I got to work, but I slept in last night. I didn’t wake up until 10:20PM, and by then I had to leave for work. So, for the first time in a bit, it’s the RAW ON DVR review!
Oh yeah, and it’s after the jump! (more…)
Oh what a joyous day! Today is Martin Luther King, Jr. day, and it’s only fitting that tomorrow morning is the inauguration of the first black president in United States history, Barack Obama. I’m counting down the hours until Dubya is gone, but for our purposes today, that’s pretty irrelevant.
Today is also joyous for another reason – Mr. McMahon returns to Monday Night RAW! It’s fitting, perhaps, that the last time Mr. McMahon was on WWE television was also the last time I had to write a review of RAW the way I’m doing tonight – I’ll be writing most of it here at home, then finishing it once I get to work. For you early adopters of the BoredWrestlingFan brand of Sports Entertainment coverage, no, the power was never turned back on at my job – in fact, the place is now out of business. I started a new job doing exactly what I was doing before – sadly for less money.
Anyways, you’re not here to read about my life (I’ve got ThinkSoJoE’s Thoughts for that!), you’re here to read about Monday Night RAW! Fear not, loyal readers, the results are after the jump! (more…)
