  1. RAW bonus content!

Apparently, e-mails from my phone are very selective as to whom they will go out to.  I did try to give Drow some live notes from the show, including Superstars and dark match reviews.  I’m going to give you guys a quick rundown tonight, but I will most definitely be posting a hell of a lot more stuff tomorrow.

WWE Superstars tapings:  Jack Swagger defeated Primo and Alicia Fox defeated Kelly Kelly.

There is going to be a new theme song for RAW next week.  It’s “Burn It To The Ground” by Nickelback.  They had us chant “HEY” during the song for the new open.

The dark main pit John Cena, DX, and Kofi Kingston against Legacy and The Big Show.  The faces won when everybody bailed on Orton, allowing him to take all four faces’ finishers.

I’m gonna watch the show on my DVR and I’ll give you guys more thoughts on it as I go along, but I wanted to get these out to you tonight.

  3. WWE Superstars w/ HIAC Predictions

What’s up, Peeps?!  The HIAC ppv is approaching and I like the concept.  The last Superstars has come and gone and my review is late today… like it normally is.  I try to be fashonably late.

Match 1:  Shad w/ JTG and Eve vs Tyson Kidd w/ David Hart Smith and Natalya

As Todd Grisham said, Shad will try to rep his hood in this match.  Shad gets the win in this relatively long match by Superstars standards.  Pretty nice finish sees Shad catching Tyson Kidds springboard into a reverse Russian Leg Sweep.

Match 2:  Shaemus vs Tyler Reks

How has Tyler Reks not been released yet?  This guy can’t even walk properly!  Shaemus gets the win with a boot to the face.

Main Event:  The Miz vs Kofi Kingston

I want The Miz to be US champ soon!  He’s awesome!!!  Kofi is good too I guess.  He picks up the win in this one as he hits the Trouble in Paradise.

    Hell in a Cell Predictions

Intercontinental Title Match:  John Morrison defeats Dolph Ziggler

United States Championship Triple Threat Match:  Jack Swagger defeats The Miz and Kofi Kingston

Unified Tag Title Match:  JeriShow defeats Batista and Rey Mysterio

Tag Team HIAC Match:  DX defeats Legacy

Divas Title Match:  Mickie James defeats Alicia Fox

World Heavyweight Title HIAC Match:  Undertaker defeats CM Punk

WWE Title HIAC Match:  John Cena defeats Randy Orton

  4. WWE Breaking Point 2009 Results

I didn’t watch this PPV, and I’m refusing to.  At first, I was refusing to watch because of the whole “submission matches without primarily submission wrestlers” thing.  Now there’s another reason, but I’ll get to that at the end.

Chris Jericho & The Big Show def. MVP & Mark Henry to retain the Unified WWE Tag Team Championships.  As if we didn’t see that coming.

Kofi Kingston def. The Miz to retain the WWE United States Championship.  And the point of that was?

Legacy def. DX in a Submissions Count Anywhere match.  Really?  Wow!  There’s some credibility for the two young guys there – which will no doubt be destroyed by Hell In A Cell next month.

Kane def. The Great Khali in a Singapore Cane Submission match.  And people actually paid for this?

Christian def. William Regal to retain the ECW Championship.  By Pinfall.  On a submission themed Pay Per View.  Where the main events are all supposed to be submission matches.  In the ECW main event.  Yup.

John Cena def. Randy Orton in an I Quit Match to win the WWE Championship.  Great.  Now we have to deal with Cena as the champion again.

The Undertaker def. CM Punk to win the World Heavyweight Championship – but wait, there’s more!

Teddy Long came out and announced the the Hell’s Gate submission was still technically banned, so the match had to be restarted…

CM Punk def. The Undertaker to retain the World Heavyweight Championship.  Punk reversed a Last Ride into an Anaconda Vise, and the referee immediately called for the bell.  Punk and the referee then bolted up the ramp to where Teddy Long was standing.  Yes folks, another rehash of the Montreal Screwjob.

You know what, I’m sick of this crap.  Every time the WWE is in Canada, they have to do some kind of screwjob angle.  2003 in Montreal with The Rock and Hulk Hogan.  A few years back with Shane McMahon and Shawn Michaels.  Look.  The Bret Hart/Shawn Michaels thing happened in November of 1997.  That’s nearly 12 years ago.  The fact is, that wasn’t a storyline – that was real, or as they say in the business, a “shoot.”  That pissed off a lot of people because Bret Hart was loved by the fans – especially the Canadian fans – and was legitimately screwed out of the WWF Championship.  I get it, wink wink, nudge nudge, we screwed the fan favorite in Canada.  It’s getting old.  I get where you’re coming from with it, but enough is enough.

I also hate the whole gimmick PPV thing.  John Cena, Randy Orton, The Undertaker, Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Ted DiBiase, Cody Rhodes, The Great Khali, and Kane are not names that spring to mind when you mention submission wrestling to me.  And next month is Hell in a Cell.  Because a John Cena/Randy Orton Hell in a Cell main event makes any sense.  Really, to have, at the very least, two Hell in a Cell matches in one Pay Per View sort of diminishes the significance of the match.  Same with the TLC Pay Per View coming up in December.  These type of matches should be kept to one per year, maximum, and the guys in the matches should be guys who specialize in them.  Undertaker or Triple H in Hell in the Cell, for example, or Edge, Christian, or Matt Hardy in TLC.

Given the lack of anything decent or new on the card, and the oh so cliche Montreal Screwjob ending, I’m glad I didn’t waste either my time or my money on this PPV.

  5. WWE Superstars w/Breaking Point Predictions

    Alrighty then…let’s get retarded!

Match 1:  Kane vs Jimmy Wang Yang

Holy Crap!  We have a Jimmy Wang Yang sighting.  Kane totally destroys him, but he got tv time.

Match 2:  Yoshi Tatsu vs Shaemus

Shaemus is becoming one of my favorites!  This guy is huge and good, which usually doesn’t happen.  Sheamus gets the win.

Match 3:  Katie Lea vs Nikki Bella…or is it Bre?

The Bella’s use the ole switcharoo and Bre ends up pinning Katie Lea.

Match 4:  Dolph Ziggler vs Slam Master J

Dolph gets the win here.  Slam Master J would have been great in 2 Cool, but now his gimmick is terrible.  He needs to restart the Freebirds.  Why did the IC Title match get scrapped for Breaking Point?

Main Event:  The Miz and Jack Swagger vs Kofi Kingston and Primo

The Miz gets the pin in this one.  The Miz and Swagger should be main eventing PPVs by now.

    Breaking Point Predictions:

US Title:  The Miz defeats Kofi Kingston

Tag Titles:  JeriShow defeats MVP and Mark Henry

Singapore Cane Match:  Kane defeats Khali

Submissions count anywhere Match:  Legacy defeats DX

WWE Title I Quit Match:  John Cena defeats Randy Orton

World Heavyweight Title:  Undertaker defeats CM Punk via DQ

  6. WWE Superstars ReViEw

Ok… Raw sucked (read the results, didn’t watch) and ECW was very mediocre this week, so let’s see what Superstars has in store for us.

Match 1:  John Morrison vs David Hart Smith

WWE is Canada is always ass backwards.  David Hart Smith and Natalya get the huge pops in their home country.  John Morrison is one of the few bright spots in WWE right now.  Hell of a main event for Smackdown as Morrison takes on CM Punk.  Little Bulldog is massive!  He pounds on the Shaman of Sexy for a lot of the match.  He hit a terrific suplex off the top rope.  Morrison eventually hit all of his spots (Pele kick, standing moonsault, spinning kick, etc.)  The Guru of Greatness gets the win with Starship Pain.

    Match 2:  Goldust vs Sheamus

The Celtic Warrior is huge, but looks smaller than he is because of his almost transparent skin.  Dude is ghostly.  How many times in a row are they going to do this match?  Shouldn’t Sheamus be taking on other people to gain experience?  This is just another example of WWE’s lazy booking.  Anyway, Goldust wins with a rollup for some reason.  Sheamus didn’t look weak, but shouldn’t they be booking him better than to lose to Goldust?

Random main event time:  Mickie James and Kofi Kingston vs Rosa Mendez and Carlito in a Mixed Tag match

Alrighty then.  This does nothing to enhance any feud.  What’s up with Carlito’s hair?  He look’s like a shi tzu who hasn’t been groomed in a while.  I guess its part of his new dark and gloomy persona.  This match was dominated in time by Kofi and Carlito.  I think Mickie and Rosa were in the ring for about 15 seconds.  Carlito gets the win after a backstabber off the top rope.

Random Random Random.  I get that Carlito should be in the mix for the US title, but shouldn’t he also be dealing with his brother?  Isn’t Gail Kim the number one contender for the Diva title?  Why wasn’t she in that match?  Sheamus should be booked to be taking people out…not losing to Goldust.  John Morrison is great…nuf said.

Remember to check out Smackdown, which is obviously the best show WWE has to offer right now.  See you next week.

  7. The War on Everything

Weclome to the War for another week, were we dwelve into the happenings of the week that was.

For those who watched Monday Night Raw this week, I’m sorry you had to sit through that. For those who didn’t, well it’s a good thing you did.

Jeremy Piven was guest host this week, andwas entertaining at times. Whereas his co-host, Dr. Ken, was not. He was just, awful. The highlight of RAW was Chris Jericho, during the match between Kofi Kingston, and Jericho Tag Team partner, the Big Show. Jericho’s commentary provided the lone highlight for this viewer, in an otherwise dull show. I might just have to start boycotting WWE programming.

However, also on that same broadcast, John Cena defeated the Miz. That may not seem a shock, however, the stipulations for the match, were plentiful. Because the Miz lost, he is banned from the SummerSlam, the Staples Center and Monday Night Raw. That means, the former reality show star does not offically have a show yet, according to these stipulations. Let’s just hope that he isnt in TNA in four months.

Jeff Hardy should not be World Champion.

Does Legacy really mean that much to the company, if they have to do the J.O.B to the returning D-Generation X at SummerSlam?

TNA are having a clearout. No, you can’t buy t-shirts at half price. You can buy, genuine supporters of Jeff Jarrett. That’s right! Dutch Mantel, and Savio Vega have been given the boot, and they can be yours to own for only $49.95. Not even Billy Mays could get you a better deal. Act now, and Dixie Carter may throw in the added bonus of one Vince Russo. Might I also suggest buying TNA stock. That’s if, TNA actually have a stock option.

Did anyone else notice Kaz during the recap of Comic-Con ’09 on iMPACT last week? That would mean that Kaz, Daniels and Suicide, were in the same place at the same time. That means … who the hell is Suicide? (NOTE: Suicide is Nicole Bass)

Who has dodgier facial hair? Carlito, Primo or Kurt Angle?

Time to step outside the realms of the wrestling world for a moment here.

Watch Code Monkeys on G4! and buy the DVD! You will be entertained. I promise.

Has anyone ever had their Tom Selleck BlackJacked?

It seems that Vanessa Hudgens is at it again. You’d have thought that after the first time she posed nude for her phone, that she wouldnt do it again. Well, she did it again. This just shows you what exactly High School Musical brings to the world. Underage Porn.

Short and sweet. Just the way I can be bothered writing it. I shall go back to Guitar Hero.

  8. WWE Superstars Review

Hey everybody…let’s get this thing started.

Match 1:  Yo yo yo yo yo yo yo…Its your boys, Cryme Time accompanied by Eve Torres against the Hart Dynasty

Shad and David Hart Smith start the match off.  DH is huge, but Shad is gigantic!  The Hart Dynasty works on Shad’s knee after a chop block by Tyson Kidd.  Once Shad gets the tag, JTG gets the pin on Tyson Kidd after a chaotic sequence that ended in a modified back breaker.

Rey Rey is out to address the Intercontinental title situation.  Obviously Dolph Ziggler is going to be his opponent at Night of Champions.  Ziggler comes out to remind people what his name is.  Challenge made for NoC…challenge accepted for NoC.  Rey Mysterio vs Dolph Ziggler for the Intercontinental title at Night of Champions.  A fight ensues and Dolph Ziggler runs away from Rey Mysterio.  What???  I forgot that Rey Rey is that scary.

Match 2:  Diva match between Katie Lea and Brie Bella w/ Nikki Bella

Diva wrestling = Crap…Anyway, the twins confuse the referee and one of them gets the rollup win on Katie Lea

Main Event:  United States Champ Kofi Kingston against the Big Show

Big Show dominates early on.  Shouldn’t Show be in the World Title hunt?  Big Show dominates the middle of the match.  Shouldn’t Show be in the World Title hunt?  Kofi tries to fight back, but Big Show shuts him back down.  After a miss in the corner, Kofi tries to come back again, but Show shuts him down again.  The quickness of Kofi takes Show down.  Trouble in Paradise is blocked and Show Chokeslams the US Champ.  Big Show gets the win.

Why is Big Show taking out Kofi on every televised show, only to lose to him at NoC?  Shouldn’t he be in the World Title picture?  Why isn’t Ted DiBiase taking on Kofi right now?  Otherwise, the show saw random rivalries resume for no real reason.  Bella Twins vs Katie Lea = random diva rivalry.  Hart Dynasty vs Cryme Time = random tag team rivalry unless it leads to a number one contenders match.

Alrighty then folks…join me again for next week’s random mess otherwise known as WWE Superstars.
