  1. WWE NXT 4/6/10

The week after the first pro poll, we’re counting down to the first elimination.

I have to wonder if there will be consequences for David Otunga being stupid enough to throw away a shot at the Unified Tag Team Titles last night.

  2. Special Feature – WrestleMania X-8 review

This Sunday, the focus of the entire wrestling world will be Phoenix, AZ as the city hosts WWE WrestleMania XXVI.  While I will unfortunately not be in attendance this year, I have three WrestleManias under my belt – and with them, a place as part of the attendance records at three different venues.  With the biggest show of the year looming on the horizon, I’ve decided to relive the experiences I had in Toronto, Seattle, and Orlando as I attended WrestleMania’s X-8, XIX, and XXIV.  Join me, if you will, as I break out my DVDs review all three of those events, beginning right now with WrestleMania X-8.

I think I’ve finally figured out the best way to do the Monday night shows.  I watched iMPACT as it was airing, and I was able to find a copy of RAW within minutes of it ending.  So since the only thing I know about tonight’s show is that Pete Rose is the guest host, without further adieu, let’s go!

  4. WWE Superstars

Welcome, my friends to the show that never ends.  I’m so glad you could attend.  Come inside, come inside.  The Circus that is WWE Superstars is here.

Match 1:  Jack Swagger and William Regal vs Santino Marella and Chris Masters w/ Eve

Santino is absolutely hilarious! He hit a cartwheel and the drop-down splits and then attempted to unleash the cobra.  Swagger and Masters need to compete for the US Title.  The end of the match came when Masters put the Masterlock on Swagger, but Regal interrupted and Swagger hit the gutwrench powerbomb for the win.

Match 2:  Zack Ryder w/ Rosa Mendez vs Primo Colon

This was a highly entertaining match.  Primo is quick and exciting and Ryder is definitely a rising star in the WWE.  Woo Woo Woo…You know it!  Primo got in his fast offense, highlighted by his cartwheel.  Ryder hit the Rough Ryder and eventually the Zack Attack for the win.  Ryder is another guy who should be thrown into the US Title mix.  The problem with RAW right now is there are too many guys who should be involved in the US Title hunt.

Match 3:  Luke Gallows w/ Serena vs Sylas Young

Its about time they give Gallows some time on his own without Punk.  He cut a promo saying Serena and him would like to dedicate the match to their Straight Edge savior, CM Punk.  This was a quick squash for Gallows to exhibit his power and dominance since most people don’t recognize him as the former Festus.  He has some unique offense and hit the 12th Step for the win.  Serena then gets in the ring and kicks Young in the ribs and out of the ring.

Main Event:  Great Khali, Matt Hardy, and Maria vs The Hart Dynasty

What is the point of Khali and Fatt Lardy being partners?  Surely they could have found a better partner that isn’t doing anything at the time for each of these two.  They both suck, so I don’t understand why people want to see them.  Khali can’t move and Hardy apparently is living off past glory.  It’s good he went back to the pants and got away from the baby pajama bottoms he was wearing.  The Hart Dynasty should be working more meaningful matches than this.  They are probably the best tag team in the WWE and should be shown as such.  Tyson Kidd hit the Hart Attack on Matt Hardy for the win.

See ya next week for another arousing episode of WWE Superstars.

    Here we go.

Match 1:  The Bella Twins vs Jillian Hall and Katie Lea

Brie Bella has a tattoo and Nikki doesn’t.  That’s all that matters in this match.  The Bellas get the win.

Match 2: Chavo Guerrero vs Primo vs Chris Masters w/ Eve

The winner of this triple threat match gets a spot in the Royal Rumble.  I like Chris Masters.  I think the guy can get the job done.  All he needs is a chance.  This is a pretty fast paced match, as it always is with Primo.  Maybe Chavo and Primo should form a tag team.  That would be pretty entertaining.  Masters gets the win with the Masterlock on Chavo to get his spot in the Rumble.  I would love it if Masters would win the Rumble…that would be sPECKtacular!  See what I did there???

Chris Jericho makes his way to the ring to cut a promo in his dapper suit.  He then proceeds to call every superstar in the WWE a liar for claiming they will win the Royal Rumble because he guaruntees a victory.  R-Truth interupts with a WUSSUP?! in Jericho’s face.  He says he will win the Rumble and beats Jericho down.

Main Event:  Matt Hardy w/ Great Khali and Ranjin Singh vs David Hart Smith w/ the Hart Dynasty

This is the perfect place for Fatt Lardy to main event.  He just doesn’t do anything for me.  I apologize to the people who like him, but he sucks now.  David Hart Smith has grown on me, however.  He still needs to tone that belly he has, but he is good.  Smith wins with a Big Boot after the ref is distracted and Tyson Kidd hangs Matt’s arm on the top rope.  Khali then comes in to clean house including Matt Hardy.  I guess he thinks he’s gonna win the Rumble too.

That’s it for Superstars this week.  Remember Smackdown is tomorrow night and the Royal Rumble is Sunday.

Tonight’s guest hosts for RAW were supposed to be Dule Hill and James Roday from Psych, but Roday had to have an appendectomy yesterday and will be unable to participate.  Hill will be hosting himself.  Also tonight, it’s the final RAW stop before the Royal Rumble.  Will Randy Orton and WWE Champion Sheamus continue to attempt to embarrass each other before their title match this Sunday?  What of the Royal Rumble participants?  How will Shawn Michaels react after Triple H dumped him over the top rope last Monday and proclaimed that he’s going to win the Royal Rumble?  Stick around and find out!

  7. thoughts on the way TNA is turning out

-I have absolutely no idea what in the hell I just saw. That’s really all I can think of to say. Where to start?

-I guess I’ll start with the obvious, the Main Event. Another great match put on by AJ and Angle but what a horrendous finish. Just absolutely horrible. How many times of we seen the damn screw job recreated? But this was a damn recreated completely. Angle even screamed about going back to WWE (kind of like Hart drawing the WCW letters in the air) and then spit on Hogan and even trashed the announce table. That was the worst ending to Impact I have ever seen and I say that without hesitation. My head hurts from that. The AJ heel turn at Genesis was GREAT! I loved it, but this was just dumb.

-Now going back to the opening promo, that was great! Great execution from all involved and I think AJ is going to benefit greatly from this pairing with Flair. Nothing but good things can come out of that for him.

-The Brits were all but squashed in their rematch. Dinero lost in under 3 damn minutes to Jordan after putting on one hell of a match against Wolfe at Genesis.

-Love’s return was nice but did that match even go 2 minutes? In fact, I think AJ-Angle was the ONLY match that even went over 5 minutes all night. For a company that keeps screaming about how they are ‘pro wrestling’ and not ‘entertainment’ they sure aren’t doing a lot of actual wrestling right now.

-Anderson’s promo was good and I actually think he has A LOT of upside if he can stay healthy. A feud with Abyss doesn’t really seem like it would benefit either of them though.

-Who knows where the thing with Lashley is going? I don’t think they even know.

-And how sad is that we saw more of Bubba the Love Sponge tonight than any of the Knockouts or X-Division or guys or even Samoa Joe or Christopher Daniels at all? Just wow. I’m not going to speak on that pile of dog crap (Bubba the Love Sponge), I’ve said enough this week about him.

-I have absolutely no desire to see the Nasty Boys in TNA but it looks like they’re here to stay and Young got completely buried in the process.

-I would actually like to see Hall and Pac stick around, especially Pac since I think he still has a ton left to offer. I just don’t want to see a rehash of the nWo for the 100th time.

-TNA just doesn’t seem to have much of a direction at all right now. Maybe things will start to come into focus in the next few weeks but I just don’t know.

-I think hogan is going to run TNA in to the ground he was trying to say that he thought Vince EVERYTHING he knows….well Mr. hogan you are a fucking liar. Vince SR sold the company to Vinny Mac because he knew it was going to be in good hands Vince made you what you are today. A star an 80’s star that has run out of gas, and money. your wife left you for a 20 year old. your daughter is a whore that cant sing that tries to live off of your name. And lets not mention your son who crippled his “best friend” then you blamed the accident on the passenger.

-i think Eric Bishoff is to proud to fail twice but if he wants this to work out Dixie has to get rid of hogan and i don’t think that’s going to happen. look at what hes doing to the iMPACT zone it looks like a episode of WCW Thunder. Eric is a very intelligent mind in the world of wrestling but i think him in TNA is just  rehashing old feelings of what he did to WCW

  8. WWE Superstars

Hey, my Peeps!  I’m back from a 2 week hiatus.  I have been out of town skiing.  Let’s get this thing started.

Match 1:  Jillian Hall vs Kelly Kelly

Jillian comes out first and sings a Miley Cyrus song.  Kelly Kelly interupts with her entrance.  I don’t like diva wrestling, but Kelly Kelly has gotten better.  She is still nowhere near good enough to be an in-ring performer.  Why can’t WWE get women who can actually wrestle?  How does TNA get women who look good, but can also wrestle?  Anyways…Kelly Kelly wins with a Leg Drop to the back of Jillian’s head.  Michael Cole called it the Kelly Kick.  I guess we can go with that name for now.  Too much time was devouted to this craptacular match.

Match 2:  Shelton Benjamin vs Vance Archer

This match should not be on ECW as a top level fued for the show, so  Superstars is the right venue for this one.  I hate Archer’s tramp stamp too!  This match is really clumsy tonight.  Vance Archer is normally pretty aggressive and physical, but going into the commercial break, he really hasn’t displayed it in this match.  We come back from commercial, with Archer in control.  He is starting to be more dominant, but still seems slow and unsure of what to do.  I’m not sure what to think of his character.  The fans are really dead on the guy, but Shelton isn’t getting much pop in this match either.  Josh Matthews and Byron Saxton even commented on how boring this match is by saying not to fall asleep.  The clumsiness of this match is mind-boggling.  It’s no wonder that Shelton Benjamin has never been pushed to the main event level.  The guy can’t carry a match with a guy who is clearly low-level at this point.  It wouldn’t surprise me if Archer was released during the next batch of firings.  Shelton gets the win over the undefeated Vance Archer with a very anti-climactic role up pin.  This match was awful.

    Ask the Divas….yawn

Main Event:  Chris Jericho vs Kane

Random main event match for Superstars…what else is new???  WWE has missed so many opportunities with Kane.  He can be pushed to be so dominant if creative will just book him correctly.  I also feel as if they have sort of ruined Chris Jericho’s persona.  They have him cowarding out to everybody right now.  They need to freshen him up a little bit.  However, this might be the best main event we have ever had on Superstars.  These two guys are Hall of Famers in my opinion.  The match goes to commercial with Kane flipping over the top ropes and to the floor below.  When was the last time a match didn’t go to commercial after someone went to the outside?  Back from commercial and this match really picks up.  It ends when Jericho cowards out of the ring and walks away for the countout.

Alrighty then…see you guys next week for another Superstars.
