Happy Canada Day (also known as NHL Free Agent Frenzy Day up North)! It’s also time for the blue show not called Impact Wrestling, that’s right! It’s time for a Smackdown review, full of animated gifs and all that jazz. And not just any jazz…
Oh no! It’s that G guy again, reviewing RAW! BOO!!!! BOO!!!!! Yep, back for another week with me. Talking to Pintnoir about covering iMPACT again this week (he did awesome last week, no?) so you get more flavors of stylization on the site during the BWF summer vacations. I don’t mind visiting the ‘E again for a bit. Hope you like the animated gifs and the Charles Barkley, folks! We kick off our show with the overrun of the Tough Enough finale. Looks like it’s down to Luke and Andy. Vince and Stone Cold have some competitive banter back and forth about who will announce the winner. SCSA notes it’s his show, and declares Andy the winner. Vince goes to welcome Andy to the WWE and… (more…)
The title will be the only sarcastic line. I’ll keep voting, and look at this is a relative position for a while. And that might be for the best as I roll through the most demanding time of the year for my work. So let’s get positive, and check out the results!
Howdy y’all! This is not a recap nor a review of the entire episode of RAW. I’ll let someone else do that. Rather, it’s an observance of a very subtle reference in the episode by CM Punk in the opening segment that was so excellent, I felt the need to make a note of it. (more…)
What’s up professional wrestling fans? Here is another installment of the goodness that is the Power Poll! We had some interesting movement this week, and as we kick off the Royal Rumble weekend… well much of it makes total sense. As per usual, I will chime in on each competitor briefly. Also included in this installment, is a neat little Rumble factoid not included in the WWE’s awesome “numbers” advertisement… (more…)
Back for another installment of the Power Poll! There was some significant movement for some grapplers, and very little for others. Let’s get to it! (more…)
Ok, I know what you’re thinking. Who is this jerk usurping AlyKat’s spot?
The answer is G, I’ve been doing the iMPACT reviews as of late and she’s unable to make it this week.*
And I know you’re asking yourself, “Well then Mr. G, will there be the twittering like she does?”
No. Maybe some fake ones, but no. I will be doing this in my usual suffer-through-it-as-I-write style.
* Card subject to change.
Well then, let’s get down to business and see what the WWE served up for the last RAW of 2010, shall we? I haven’t done a RAW review in a long, long time.
Okay, so I was thinking yesterday that it may be nice to do something for the end of the year to make it up to everyone who has tweeted repeatedly throughout the year to be mentioned in the RAW Review. You all make it more entertaining to read, so why not give back to you?
So, here’s all you have to do: Vote for your favorite RAW Tweeter in the poll below, then click Vote. The voting will end December 31st, and I’ll tally up the votes. What do you get if you win, you ask? I will buy you a t-shirt from WWEShop.Com! I’ll announce the winner on my Twitter (@TheMizMagnet), and then the winner needs to DM me so their address and what shirt they want, and their size! That’s all it takes! I picked the names based on who I have seen tweet more than once. SO! Vote away!!
Tonight’s Smackdown will feature four King of the Ring qualifying matches for the upcoming tournament on Monday Night RAW. It’s nice to see this tournament coming back, but first I have to suffer through Smackdown to see how the story unfolds. It’s also the fallout SD episode after Survivor Series. The outcome of the PPV was all status quo with title defences outside of Natalya’s Diva win.
At least I can post this random animated gif for you:
