  1. Cyber Sunday Thoughts

    By JT

Hey everybody.  Just wanted to chime in and give my two cents on Cyber Sunday.  Taking a look at the card here’s how it looks:

    1. WWE Championship (WWE Universe chooses challenger) choices are:

    • a. Jeff Hardy
    • b. Kozlov
    • c. Both

What I think should happen- I would like to see HHH take on both of them.  Then during the match HHH gets knocked out of the ring, Kozlov does his headbutt thingy on Jeff Hardy, pins him and wins the WWE title.

What probably will happen- Jeff hardy gets 90% of the vote and faces HHH one-on-one, with HHH coming out on top.

    2. Undertaker vs. Big Show (WWE Universe chooses type of match) choices are:

    • a. Knockout Match
      b. I Quit Match
      c. Last Man Standing Match

What I think should happen- I don’t have much to say about this match so I’m going with Last man standing.

What will probably happen- Last man standing, Taker gets his win back.

    3. WWE Diva Halloween Costume Contest– I don’t care, nuff said.

    4. Pick the Tag Team Match choices are:

    • a. World Tag Team Champions Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase vs. CM Punk & Kofi Kingston
    • b. John Morrison & The Miz vs. Cryme Tyme
    • c. Jamie Noble & Mickie James vs. William Regal & Layla

What I think should happen- First, let me say what won’t happen.  The mixed tag match.  If it gets more than 10% of the vote I’ll be surprised.  Now back on the subject, I think that the tag title match will happen.

What probably will happen- Tag title match, Punk and Kingston win.

    5. Cyber Sunday Preview Match (United States Championship Match) the choices are:

    • R-Truth
    • MVP
    • Festus

Wow good to see Shelton get on the card (even if it’s a preview match on wwe.com) and no doubt that he’s gonna be facing and losing the belt to R-Truth. (that’s both what I think and probably will happen)

    6. ECW Championship Match (WWE Universe chooses Matt Hardy’s opponent) Choices are:

    • a. Mark Henry
    • b. Evan Bourne
    • c. Finlay

What I think will happen- If anyone has seen Evan Bourne, then there should be no doubt that he should be facing Matt Hardy.

What probably will happen- Evan Bourne faces Matt.  The guy is awesome and even proved it last Tuesday on ECW so that will turn the vote in his direction.

    7. Kane vs. Rey Mysterio (WWE Universe chooses type of match) choices are:

    • Falls Count Anywhere Match
      No Holds Barred Match
      Best 2-out-of-3 Falls Match

What I think should happen- Ugh, this is one feud I don’t care about.  I am not a fan of Rey Mysterio’s (never have) so anything involving him I just don’t give a s#@*.  I gonna go with No Hols Barred.

What will probably will happen- Falls Count Anywhere. Kane kills Rey and takes his mask.

8.Intercontinental Championship Match (WWE Universe chooses Santino Marella’s opponent) Choices are:

    • a. “Rowdy” Roddy Piper
      b. Goldust
      c. Honky Tonk Man

What I think will happen- Goldust, um no.  Honky Tonk Man maybe. Granted I know that his whole gimmick is revolved the Honky Tonk Man and the Honk-A-Meter,  but I just don’t see it happening when the other choice is Rowdy Roddy Piper.  He should clearly win this vote.
What probably will happen- Charlie Haas dressed as the Honky Tonk Man does the job to Santino.

9.World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho vs. zzzz, I mean Batista (WWE Universe chooses referee) choices are:
    • a. Randy Orton
      b. “Stone Cold” Steve Austin
      c. Shawn Michaels

Man even Batista puts me to sleep even typing his name.

What I think will happen- Randy Orton being a choice is a joke.  If he gets more than 5% of the votes I will know this whole thing is rigged.  This is going to be very close between HBK and Stone Cold.  Since Austin is supposed to be there and I don’t see having him there and not using him so he wins.

What probably will happen- Austin gets 50%, HBK 49%, Orton 1%.  Austin during the match gets pissed off at both Jericho and Batista, stuns them counts them both down but just before 3 Jericho gets his arm on Batista and retains.

Well those are my thoughts on Cyber Sunday, hope you didn’t too bored and go away.  If you didn’t thanks for reading and hop to see you soon.

Carlito & Primo def. Bam Neely & Chavo Guerrero when Carlito pinned Bam after Bam was distracted by an argument with Chavo.

Kung Fu Naki & R-Truth def. MVP & Shelton Benjamin when Naki pinned MVP.

The Brian Kendrick def. Super Crazy via pinfall.

Triple H vs. The Undertaker ended in a no contest when The Big Show attacked.

  3. ECW Review 10/21/08

    by John “JT” Traylor

Hi everyone, JT here doing the ECW review.  First, I want to thank Joe for the opportunity to do this.  BTW this is my first ever review so be nice.

We start out with talking (as per usual).  Matt Hardy comes out and wants everyone to text their vote for Mark Henry (I won’t be).  Then Finaly comes out and says that since coming to ECW they have yet to face when the title is on the line and if they do Finlay will walk out as champion.  This brings out Evan Bourne (to a huge pop) who speaks his case, but is then picked on by Finlay.  Finlay called him Bourneswoggle (I lol’d) and that he had to outweigh the title by more than 5 pounds.  Then Mark Henry comes out, speaks his case to a bunch of “What?” chants.  I know there are some people who don’t like the “What?” chants, but in some cases they fit in just perfect as in tonight.  He says how he is gonna prove that he deserves to be voted the one to face Hardy at Cyber Sunday.  Hardy says that no matter what , he’ll still be ECW champion after Sunday.

WWE wants you to pick who refs the Jericho/Batista match. I personally won’t be voting.

Commercial BreakThe new Spiderman game looks awesome, I hope it’s available for the PS2

Wrestlemania Tickets go on sale on November 8.  I wish I could afford to go.

Match 1: Jack Swagger defeated Brett Badery via pinfall

Wow, I weigh the same as Brett (pointless JT fact).  Turnbuckle, turnbuckle, flip, weird looking power bomb, Swagger wins.  Then after the match Todd Grisham asked Jack about Tommy Dreamer, Swagger replied “Tommy who?”

To the back (take a shot). Lena interviews Miz and Morrison.  They want you to vote for them.  Miz thinks he can get McCain more votes than Palin can. JT rolls his eyes. I’m not a big fan of the Miz or Morrison, they’re both talented but I just don’t like them.

Commercial BreakDid you know that Smackdown is now on Mynetwork TV?  Well if you didn’t know you know.  Plus it’s Undertaker vs HHH this week.  I personally will catch it either Saturday or Sunday, because I go out on Friday nights.

ECW had more viewers than shows on other cable networks (like anyone cares).

Match 2: Shad def The Miz via DQ

Back and forth matchup between the the two with a botched move by Shad, Grisham tries to talk ghetto, Striker tells he look more like Harry Potter than Kool Moe Dee (I lol’d).  Both JTG and Morrison get involved, but Morrison got caught and Miz was DQ’d.

Commercial Break- Sanctuary is apparently a hit, too bad I’ve never heard of it.

This John Cena guy is returning, I wonder who that is?

Cyber Sunday promo, I’m not ordering

To the back (take another shot)- Tiffany (dressed as a go go dancer) is seen with Tito Ortiz outside the GM’s office.  Gladly Ortiz isn’t allowed to say much (sorry Joe) but are then interrupted by Hornsowggle who it Trick or Treating 11 days early and in no costume (WTF???)  They knock on the GM’s and who do we see, none other than SHAFT himself, not really just Teddy long dressed as Shaft.  Hornswoggle gets his candy an is on his merry way.

Commercial Break– WWE wants you to pick who HHH pins at Cyber Sunday: Jeff Hardy, Koslov or both.  If I were voting, I’d pick both.

Match 3: Evan Bourne def Mark Henry and Finlay via pinfall

Henry dominates at the beginning as Finaly and Bourne try to double team him but are unsuccessful. Then as Henry goes to the ropes Bourne duck sending Henry out of the ring leaving Bourne and Finlay 1 on 1 for the time being.  Then Bourne hits a flying headscissors sending Finlay to a meeting of the minds with Henry.  This somehow revives Henry (it sure wouldn’t revive me) and he regains control.

Commercial Break Saw V, go see it or you might end up in Saw VI

We return with Henry dominating, then a free for all then some double teaming on Henry, knocking him outside again, back and forth between Finlay and Bourne as Henry slowly returns to the ring, then Henry regains control, then picks up BOTH Finaly and Bourne and slams them both, pins Bourne for only a 2 count.  Finlay looks like he got hurt on that move (hopefully it’s not too bad). Finaly goes for a DDT and gets a 2 count.  Atlas grabs Hornswoggle, throws him to Henry. As Henry attempts to slam Horswoggle, Finlay takes out his leg. Finlay then goes for the shillelagh hits Henry with it, the gets with hits a double knee off the top rope by Bourne.  Bourne then hits with the Shooting Star Press and pins Henry for the win as we fade to black.

All in all, good program as per the norm with ECW. But then anytime you get to see the Evan Bourne Shooting Star Press it’s worth it.  Thanks everyone for reading, hope to see you soon.

  4. WWE No Mercy predictions

Will NostroJOEmas strike again a la Night of Champions, or will I fail miserably like I did when I predicted The Great American Bash?  We’ll find out, because here are my WWE No Mercy predictions!

WWE Championship:  Triple H (C) vs. Jeff Hardy

I thought for sure that Jeff cost himself the WWE Championship when he was removed from a flight for appearing intoxicated a few weeks back, but with reports that Hardy is not facing any diciplinary action, and the fact that he’s been booked to look strong on TV since the incident, I could be wrong.  However, the other thing that the last couple of weeks have said to me is that Vladimir Kozlov is next in line to face Triple H, and as such, I fully expect a no contest tonight with Kozlov standing tall at the end of it.

World Heavyweight Championship:  Chris Jericho (C) vs. Shawn Michaels in a ladder match

I just can’t see HBK winning this match, given that there’s going to be a number one contenders match on the card featuring two guys that have heat with Jericho.  By hook or by crook, Jericho wins this one.

ECW Championship:  Matt Hardy (C) vs. Mark Henry

With this prediction, I’ll officially be declaring that I don’t expect a world title to change hands tonight.  If Mark Henry was destined to be champion after No Mercy, they would have had him retain in the Championship Scramble at Unforgiven.  Sorry Mark, I’m glad you got a pretty decent title run, but it’s the elder Hardy’s time to shine.

The Undertaker vs. The Big Show

It’s been pretty widely reported that The Undertaker is in pretty bad shape.  He’s likely going to need some time off to let his injuries heal, so I’d venture to say that something will happen tonight to have ‘Taker written out of the story for a little bit.  As such, I predict a Big Show victory.

World Heavyweight Championship #1 Contenders match:  JBL vs. Batista

Batista is going to take this one.  Not taking anything away from JBL but with Jericho likely to win the ladder match tonight, I’m fully expecting Batista to be the number one contender.

Kane vs. Rey Mysterio – if Rey loses, he loses his mask

Rey Mysterio is one of the most popular superstars in the WWE among a few key demographics, particularly the younger set.  Unless the publicly traded WWE suddenly decided that they’re making too much money off of Rey Mysterio replica masks and want to unload what’s left of them at rock bottom prices, I’m fairly certain that Rey Rey is winning and keeping his mask.  What is this, WCW?

WWE Women’s Championship:  Beth Phoenix (C) vs. Candice Michelle

Let’s go with Candice…  BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!  Yeah, Candice is going to win this match.  Candice, whose return match was luckily taped because the WWE can’t edit botched spots out of live broadcasts, is NOT winning the Women’s Championship.  Bring on the Fabulous Moolah meter, because there’s virtually nobody on the roster right now who deserves that title more than The Glamazon.
