I think I’ve finally figured out the best way to do the Monday night shows. I watched iMPACT as it was airing, and I was able to find a copy of RAW within minutes of it ending. So since the only thing I know about tonight’s show is that Pete Rose is the guest host, without further adieu, let’s go!
Well, I was planning on reviewing the show as it aired, but outside of BoredWrestlingFan.com, I’m a busy, busy man. OK, so I wasn’t busy. I was sleeping. Anyways, I digress. I have no idea what’s supposed to be going on tonight, so let’s make some shit up. The Hart Dynasty will job to some random tag team, The Undertaker will try to send some kind of message to Shawn Michaels, something will happen with Rey Mysterio and the Straight Edge Society, and Michelle McCool, Layla, and Vickie Guerrero will annoy the piss out of wrestling fans everywhere. Oh, and Edge and Chris Jericho will likely have some kind of promo where the word “Spear” is said way too much. That sounds about right, doesn’t it? Let’s find out, shall we?
What? I was supposed to review this at 9? What? I was supposed to use tweets? What? I should be publishing this right now instead of just starting on it? What? Deadline? What? Schedule? What? Punctuality? What? What? What? Truth be told, I was unable to catch the beginning of RAW or iMPACT for reasons beyond my control, so I opted to wait until after the shows were over to start writing about them. So I found a copy of RAW first – and fast! – so we’re going to start with the WWE’s show tonight. Too bad today’s only 3/15, because with our guest host tonight, 3/16 may have been more appropriate – That’s right, Stone Cold Steve Austin is our host tonight, and he’ll be moderating the contract signing between Bret Hart and Vince McMahon for their WrestleMania match. Speaking of WrestleMania, it’s WrestleMania rewind night tonight! We’ll get a rematch from WrestleMania XIX, which I happened to have attended, when Shawn Michaels faces the World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho. We’ll see a rematch of WrestleMania XX’s opening contest when John Cena faces The Big Show. WrestleMania 25’s main event will also see a rematch tonight, as Randy Orton takes on Triple H.
Alright, I don’t want to talk too much (this is the RAW review, not the iMPACT review, y’know!), so let’s get started!
Welcome to part two of our Monday Night Wars coverage for this week. Earlier tonight, Drow brought you our very first ROH Report, and here I am to bring you your RAW results, and later on, we’ll have iMPACT coverage as well. Tonight, the Mindfreak, Criss Angel hosts RAW (great. Lame magic tricks all night), Vince McMahon takes on John Cena, and Randy Orton will take on Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase in a handicap match. We’ll also see what happens next between John Cena and Batista, Triple H and Sheamus, and Vince McMahon and Bret Hart. Ready to go? RAW is going Up In Smoke tonight as Cheech and Chong host. Randy Orton takes on Ted DiBiase, more qualifying matches for the Money In The Bank match at WrestleMania should be happening, and Bret Hart may give his farewell address to the WWE Universe. Ready? Me too! Let’s go!
William Shatner hosts as we get the fallout from the Royal Rumble! What’s to become of Legacy? What about DX? What will Shawn Michaels do now that his dream of winning the Rumble and challenging The Undertaker at WrestleMania is gone? Will Edge appear on RAW tonight and challenge Sheamus? What will happen when Bret Hart confronts Mr. McMahon? All this and more tonight on RAW!

Tonight’s guest hosts for RAW were supposed to be Dule Hill and James Roday from Psych, but Roday had to have an appendectomy yesterday and will be unable to participate. Hill will be hosting himself. Also tonight, it’s the final RAW stop before the Royal Rumble. Will Randy Orton and WWE Champion Sheamus continue to attempt to embarrass each other before their title match this Sunday? What of the Royal Rumble participants? How will Shawn Michaels react after Triple H dumped him over the top rope last Monday and proclaimed that he’s going to win the Royal Rumble? Stick around and find out!
